I have a cassette tape of this exact recording that was on a compilation, and for a long time thot it was BR himself till i saw this video. Matt just totally kills it!

If the Buddy Rich band members are rocking to your drumming then you know you are legit.
Matt can certainly drum, but man that soprano sax dude is off the charts.
I played the drums in my high school jazz band and the year we won the NJ State title, we performed Beulah Witch as our closing number.

Buddy was no Matt. Of course they're not gonna sound the same as him. That was kind of the point, paying tribute from different players and styles.
