Dylan Edwards, ranked No. 140 in the 2023 ESPN 300 recruiting class, made an immediate impact with his versatility, recording 135 receiving yards and three touchdowns -- both single-game school records for a running back in a season-opening upset of TCU. Dylan Edwards started the first four games of the 2023 season (and six overall), finishing with 321 rushing yards and a touchdown, while adding 36 receptions for 299 yards and four touchdowns. Deion Sanders and Colorado are also losing Colorado running back Sy'veon Wilkerson whose officially entered the transfer portal. The 5-foot-9, 210-pound running back will have two seasons of eligibility remaining. Sy'veon Wilkerson spent one season at Colorado, playing in 11 games for coach prime Deion Sanders. On 51 attempts, Sy'veon Wilkerson recorded 191 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. Sy'veon Wilkerson transferred to Colorado after playing under head coach Deion Sanders at Jackson State in 2022. Sy'veon Wilkerson totaled 1,152 rushing yards and nine touchdowns for the Tigers. He earned first-team All-Conference honors.

When you only got 4 wins with a player who decides to hit the portal, it isn’t bad news, just news. These other programs are likely targeting CU players to damage Coach Prime’s roster, so it is what it is. CU fans can’t get down over these players leaving or that it is concerning.
Players come and go, and the majority that leave are replaceable. You don’t need players who aren’t committed to the program, and so far, I don’t see any true game chargers leaving for the portal. Once again, they were a 4 win team last year, so Coach Prime isn’t losing any winners. The most important pieces that CU need is the O-line and the defense. Prime bolsters those parts of the team, they could become bowl eligible.
The 20+ players leaving is part of recruiting warfare behind the scenes.

😮he also struggled blocking... That stood out like a swore thumb. Couldn't manhandle thru wholes.. They didn't have a running game because he couldn't ply thru like Emmit Smith..
Personally.. when they played someone with good defense & it showed. To me he was a special team person or back up. QB must be protected on non run games..
Again, he is a special.. I doubt he can pull a TE off . They couldn't even use him to run & kill the time off the clock..
Yet, he did his best so.. I give him B.
Now to see him exit.. I give him a C+.

Shilo redshirted during his freshman year at South Carolina due to a torn ACL. Then COVID extended college eligibility. He also got injured at Jackson State which is also why he had two extra years of eligibility

Shocked!! However, I dont believe its Dylan's height, but more so a bag. CP needs to explain what happened here.
CP will probably not explain what happened (as he shouldn't) and I dont blame him. People are expecting a lot from CP that they're not expecting from any of these yt coaches.
They were playing behind the chains because they kept calling pass plays on 1st and second down resulting in 2 getting sacked. If you look at the yards per carry for each running back that is being discussed you could see they averaged at least 3-4 yards per carry. Which translates to 2nd and 7 or 6 vs 2nd and 15. Play fair and let the running back shine. Run the ball please. No wonder why all the running backs left.
