This was one of the best interviews ever. You can feel the genuine love these brothers have for each other. Coach Prime was on point with questioning why HBCU's are always going begging "cap in hand". Something is definitely wrong with that. I love how his focus is not only on them winning games but also about creating successful young men in the future.
We need more interviews like this. Two people who are masters of their craft just talking; no egos, no bull.

They had hard working parents as their roles models. Deion watched his mom work. They did things the right way. Unlike today’s professional players, Shannon and PrimeTime’s game came before their brand. Today, a scrub can have his own brand.

This interview changed my mind 100% on this situation and an example of how easy it is to listen to all of the peripheral bits of info and opinions and form your own half-baked opinion vs withholding judgement until all of the facts come out. Shannon is clearly a great friend to Deion but ultimately asked ALL of the tough questions (all of them and pushed back on the answers) and provided an uninterrupted venue for Deion to tell his whole story. An outstanding interview by Shannon.

Shannon is a brilliant interviewer. It’s such a pleasure to watch these two legends chat it up. I learned so much, am deeply inspired, and gained even more respect for you both. This was an honor.
Deion may just be one of my favorite people to listen to. His excitement and purpose is pure motivation.
Deion only brought "eyeballs" to himself. Its the oldest trick in the book to use poor people and disadvanteged people as props to show others how good you are. It;s really just a ploy to get attention and good PR. Deion is just a talented man in many ways but hes also a smooth talker who manipulates every situation for his benefit. This doesnt make him a bad person but it definitely reflects terribly on him how he just left Jackson State....The other thing is Shannon is totally a propaganda mouthpiece..he would never say anything controversial and just toes the appropriate line.

Um, this was not that good. IMHO! But the Earthquake interview was pure gold!!! Shannon almost ruined it!!

I’m a first time viewer of this channel, and I need to say how impressed I am with Shannon Sharp’s masterful interview, and the goodness and integrity of Coach Prime. These are two very impressive men, and they have earned every bit of their success.
This is like two uncles carrying on at the family dinner, and you're just the young guy getting a plate and listening. I didn't have these kinds of videos when I was growing up, I had just what I saw on TV of athletes like this. It's crazy to hear these two larger than life athletes just sit down and talk, so I hope people now appreciate that we get to hear and see things like this, and take whatever advice and knowledge they give or let out.
Thanks, Coach Prime. I attended three HBCUs. I worked, briefly, at another. My parents both graduated from HBCUs. We all appreciate you for raising the profiles of our schools. And thank you for reminding alumni that they are not giving.

This interview was needed. He asked all the pink elephant questions. This is why nobody in Jackson should be mad. "Where is the money?!" Why are we always begging or strapped for cash or undefunded at HBCU's?!" He enlighted us on these issues but besides alumni not giving back compared to white alumni there is the mishandling of funds and poor administrating that needs to addressed pronto!
I think I missed the mishandling of funds in this interview. I heard that “the business” needed to be tighter. Within that, I heard “just being around PWIs is a honor”, but the money didn’t add up; it’s bad business. Problem (another) identified; who has the courage and BACKING to address? At this point ALL HBCUs should be mad, not just Jackson.
I cracked up in the beginning when Shannon was roasting him 😂 “if the shoe was on the other foot…why you had to say shoe?” 😂😂😂
