Neely let me correct you...Alton's father made that statement and he came out and firmly and disputed that and said his father doesn't speak for him...he thanked coach Prime and everyone at boulder and I can imagine how difficult it must have been for that young man to speak against his father on such a huge platform so let's give him all the respect he's due on his exit.

Everything is not for most, so leave and find your spot...if you can. Each player is only as good as their last play, and each player is only one play away from their last play. Imagine a world where Coach Prime had a young Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Michael Vick all on the squad. It's a simple math problem. There is only one opening for the starting quaterback and if all 3 are solid performers, who do you pick? Who do you bench? Certainly talent can take you so far and as good as one is, they still need to get their reps in and certainly that won't happen if they sit on the bench as a backup. It's not a disrespect to Coach Prime if someone feels they can better showcase their talents in a different team, different market and possibly get a better demonstration of their skills to a different audience. You can think of it as owning a hypercar, or in this case, multiple hypercars. They need to be driven and can't be kept as garage princesses. When you stack a team full of all-stars eventually something has to give if they want to properly showcase their talents to scouting agents.
That is the name of the game.

Thank you Neely for speaking the truth. Some of these people in the comments are way off base. They have not been where you have been and are being emotional and silly. As a former NFL agent, I can assure those people that they know very little about the business side of football. DE is no NFL starter. Coach Prime put him in a situation that was best for him, if DE wants to go to the NFL. Face it, DE is too small to block Anyone on D, pick up the blitz or run between the tackles or in the red zone. He can only be a 3rd down back at best in the NFL due to his size. He cannot even be on ST really. He is not a receiver because he wanted to be a RB. The NFL is now a passing league. RB is not a valued position. Can you imagine a RB complaining about not getting enough touches as a 5'7" 170lb. RB? DE does not respect CP or ex- NFL HC PS or other coaches. He should be taking advantage of being at CU that will get him an undergrad degree or masters degree and great connections so that he can be a CEO or upscale entrepreneur. He is missing out on the big pic. These youngsters don't get it but one day they will probably be sorry for the opportunity they wasted because they are selfish and unrealistic about the real world. Instead, they are sending out red flags to any team that would consider them. That is the real sad part about these players leaving. A Black man is trying to take many of these players to a better situation because he cares about the Black community as a whole, but these selfish people cannot see or choose to ignore the blessing before them. You and I are old enough to remember how hard we had to fight to get to where we are but many Black youngsters in present day America want to be entitled. They have no true cultural identity and that is extremely unfortunate. Stay strong Neely and I am glad that you're not a sellout and I know these people claiming that you are doing damage control could never even hold an intelligent conversation with you. I appreciate you completely and I will see you in person one day. Y'all keep doing what y'all do. I'm holding you down here in San Francisco.

Deuce Vaughn was drafted by the Cowboys last year and he’s 5’5”. Kyren Williams was 3rd in rushing last season for the Rams at 5’9” 194. 57% of NFL RBs are 5’11” or shorter. Dylan definitely has a shot to make the league. He just needs more opportunities to showcase his talent! Dylan is only 19. He will continue to grow and get stronger.

@reppinCTandATL His father, Chris Vaughn, joined the Cowboys in 2017 as the team's southeast area scout. So you can figure out why that 6th round draft pick happened. Not saying that Deuce was bad cus he knew his role...then he got hurt.
I am not saying he can't make it. I am saying he was in a role that he will have if he gets to the NFL...so he should have been happy with his role and the connections he had at CU.

Bra u say u were a agent but I can't tell bc u basically saying Dylan size makes him not a NFL running back bc he can't block or pick up this and that in the redzone but if u were a real agent u would know AINT NO NFL TEAM GO USE DYLAN IN THAT WAY fool. Dylan is a back you use in space, to catch out the back field, run off tackles, sweeps, kick off and punt return things of that nature you dummies keep saying Dylan can't block there's allot of backs in the league who aren't there to block their skill set is for other reasons you don't see full backs being used in space so you? Dylan for one has great speed that alone will get u in the league if he's in the right situation so u sound bout as slow as other prime wood riders and it's a shame cause u on here claiming to be an agent but don't know ish

I have no doubt that Colorado will be okay this season and will be bowl eligible and possibly in the 12 team playoffs. I hate that any of the RB'S left but as hard as it is to hear, most RB'S are replaceable. Dylan has a special talent and will thrive as well as the other 2 backs in the right system. However unless they head to a lower level, they will not be #1 on their next team.......

I think we have to be careful when being overly judgmental when young kids make decisions they believe are best for them. The assumption that they don't want to compete when transferring is subjective. Only the individuals themselves truly understand their reasons for transferring. If it's truly about competition, why not pursue some of the top quarterbacks in the country? Every position should have the best competing, including quarterbacks, to ensure the best player emerges. It appears that top recruits are sought after for every position except quarterback.
