The Real Real SHOULD sue the family for stating that fakes came from their store. Also, there is a big difference between dupes and fakes. One is influenced by the real item the other is illegally trying to BE the real item.

That video from therealreal was really adorable. I kind of wish they’d put a little more emphasis about how bags can increase in value. They did talk about “the stock market of bags” but it could have been a little bit clearer that bags like the Kelly and Birkin go up so much. She could have bragged about herself more or something. It also would have been even shadier if they’d used a mini Kelly. Personally I think this video release was probably timed because of this, but I don’t think it was made and pointed specifically AT them. The whole video concept, shooting, voice/over, after effects, and editing in how many days? That’s an insanely short deadline for such high production quality. I think it was probably already in the works but rushed and pushed out sooner because of this.
I do think they should have disclosed the fakes, and that is exactly what they were . dupes are similar with out labels .
But they knew that that no one would accept that since they put themselves out there as wealthy influencers.
I feel bad for them they are caught up in approval of others for material things , things they cannot afford.

They should have disclosed. And some of those dupe bag can be a few hundred dollars (not cheap!) so even with the dupes the parents dropped some coin on them for Christmas. I think it is the bratty entitlement attitude. And the fact that it was obviously done to “dupe” their viewers that has upset so many people.

Awful how TheRealReal stores their so-called overpriced expensive luxury items! Seriously! They're storing luxury items inside plastic containers?! That should be a deal breaker for anyone who wants to purchase from a third party. By the way, TheRealReal is known to pass fake items as real authentics.
Yes the color of the *amzrepe* is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
