I own a Yamaha Corps Custom snare drum like the one shown here. They were only produced during 1990-92, so I'm assuming that is what the Scouts were using during this season. Great to see the old clips. I marched in 1980 when video cameras were a large as buses. Ha!
Madison used the Yamaha Corps Custom from 1989-1991, but in 1992 they used prototype free-floating snares based on the Premier HTS 284 but with chromed hardware. (There were issues late season and they replaced the bearing edge assembly with stock Premier parts in black powdercoat. The Cavaliers did the same, but also swapped out the rims as well.) In 1993 they used the first Yamaha SFX free floaters, and the Red Forest stain was color-matched to the Madison Scouts uniform.
