    Train seems a better option than a bus for sure

      Gday Jim, definately the train is a better option, very comfortable, I ended up nearly sleeping the whole way there which I would never do on a bus, cheers

    Nice vlog Pedro Thai, this vlog stirred a bit of nostalgia in me as I stayed at the 'Meeting place' 32 years ago when they were still building the friendship bridge.
    Me and my mates did a grand tour of Isaan, oh mate what a scream and the name 'Paterson' comes to my hazy mind regarding the meeting place all them years ago, thanks for sharing mate cheers.

    • @PedroThai
      @PedroThai  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gday Mick, that's amazing, I reckon the 'meeting place' back then was a go to place in Nong Khai, I remember it had accommodation but 'Bob' stopped taking people in coz he wasn't making any money from it. His girlfriend was from Laos and she was pregnant at the time. It's funny how things stick in your mind from all those years ago and yet I spent only one night there. I'm so wrapped this story rekindled a similar memory. cheers mate

    Stop at 7/11 and get the white packet of charcoal tablets. Guaranteed fix - less than 50baht for about a dozen tablets. Good luck with the tummy...

      Gday Malc, consider taking the train from Bangkok if u have time, it is really worth it. Nong Khai has not changed much since I first visited there all those years ago. It is pretty quiet and peaceful and you would only need to spend a couple of days there, cheers
