I'm really not trying to flatter anyone. But I must say that this is the best teaching that I have heard. Beyond the giving offering. Having an understanding of who God is should be the driving force. That's why people fall away or don't even try because without that understanding what we do does seem crazy, stupid, and non-progressive. But with the understanding of the Gospel it literally transforms you and sets you free. Lots of people are trying to progress humanity and society but without the presence of God it will be empty and repetitive because you can try to change behaviors but without the gospel you can never change the human heart.
I agree its really awesome. It's a relatively new channel in that its about two months old. Give it some time and watch those numbers grow. People who love the bible project and Tim's teaching will find their way here. Spread the word.
@@timmackiearchives6837 Its all Gods stuff, God is in you and he will generously give his stuff THROUGH you and your generous heart , back to him self. and if you are NOT this generous person giving Gods stuff back to God you are then this person --> "James 4:3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures" So clearly if you are the GENEROUS person other generous people don't need to be given any thing as they have no needs because God is in them.... and because God wont give to the second person with wrong motives clearly you should not give to them either for all the same reasons. So if "I" am going to be generous who should I give to and how? Here is what is actually going on . God placed 260 tons of Gold with his King to be in the temple. God did NOT give the gold to the King for him to own and personally possess. The King was acting as Gods bank teller, the bank teller is not some big hero for giving God his gold that he had on deposit. You need to think of your self as a banker taking in deposits. God makes deposits with you, you are expected to keep them safe and to grow those deposits so God can withdraw them when he needs them. God has to be in you in order to do this. God doesn't want or need you handing out his belongings to ill motivated people, he will let you know what to do with it and when ...... its not yours to keep and its not yours to give so whne God asks you to do something with his resources don't take credit for Gods generosity.
the second speaker made me pretty uncomfortable. he felt very negative. it was clear that Tim tried to subliminally correct him with the “now we all feel pretty crappy” comment, which made me feel better. all in all, this video made me appreciate how amazinggg of a teacher Tim is. so thankful for his gift

One other thing that I see. How can a 30+ pastor afford driving Audi Q5? Maybe not every church but some has gone astray and sponge the tights and offerings for their own lifestyle.
i love you guys, but a question; how much giving did David give while he was in exile and on the run? and what he gave was from war and taxes of his own people.

That's a very ungracious and un-Christlike thing to say. Unless you have met him and know him (which I doubt), in which case it is even worse, it is something you should keep between him and you.
one of the best Bible teachers of a modern age, imho. Praise God for pastor Tim
"The authority of our teaching is dependent upon the authenticity of our lives." Sheesh, that hits deep as a church leader!
Truth can be a bitter pill best swallowed when given.
Pastor Tim Mackie, praise the Lord for your teachings and dedication to educate Jesus followers throughout the world.

Get Tim’s podcast! “Exploring My Strange Bible.”
Thanks this comes so timely when so many people in France are making very generous offerings for the reconstruction of Notre Dame!
How do these videos not have much more views? This is too good, God bless!

This is actually sad, people don’t have a desire to know Jesus.

The man dressed like a pirate comes off as someone who's aim is to get offering money
Such a good understanding about giving.

Another word for "gap" between what we say and what we believe and how we actually live is "hypocrisy",yep, Check it out in the bible.

Who is the second gentleman?

The stares and posture of Joshua tells me he is really trying to intimidate and exert authority over Tim. Immature, insecure and ineffective.

Why's he dressed like a pirate is he isn't trying to intimidate?
