Tim Mackie is a gift from God to the Church. The Bible Project alone has been a huge blessing to the Church, but as a teacher, Tim is amazing.I think part of that amazement is because of his love and admiration of the Scriptures. Thank you Tim for how you’ve allowed God to use you!
Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. Do not live like the Gentiles. It’s all here in Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. I’ve just had a breakthrough in studying with Tim Mackie this lesson. Thank you Tim🙏🏾
praise God! Christianity is NOT a religion...but God's phenomenal redemption work. Taking a sinful fallen being and radically transforming them back to what God had originally intended that we see in Adam before he fell. Friends, if we miss THIS...we miss the whole point! And then it's just another religion!
Both of you are spot on! Tim, Chuck M and Mike H. Actually teach the WORDS of the writers through God. Just amazing how they explain it simply and don't add their opinions or outdated translations. They opened my eyes at 30 years of being a Christian.
You can't be transformed by your works, you can only be transformed by the office work of the holy spirit when you truly are Born again from above, from Jesus Christ when you have a testimony of Jesus Christ.
Exactly! This is the meaning behind the 7th day "rest". WE rest from OUR works, as we allow God to work in us and through us. You and I are "righteous"...but it's not OUR own righteousness, but Gods! (Phil 3:9, 2 Cor 4:7)
Because of HIS PERMANENT LOVE, this is a presentation of the most awesome invitation of working together with God - His influencing good for our well-being & by faith in Jesus, we allowing Him to influence us to be the perfect version of who was meant to be!
I deeply appreciate the "digging in" to the culture this was written in/to. Brings out deep and rich meaning. Many thanks for a great sermon and lots to chew on!
But we should be applying it to OUR culture today. The Bible is written to everyone in every age/time period. Our culture is really not that different. We have advanced technology, but the issue of sin and the things that stumble human beings is still the same.
I just want to say I thank God for the few people I found eternal life and share it with the world. I thank God for the creators of the Bible project. The breath you speak with any or lungs comes from God. April 7th 2021 Josie I.From Rochester New York. A student from Dr Gene Kim. Dr. Chuck Missler. Clarence Larkin.
Likewise. There are solid, grounded, God-fearing teachers in each generation...and one of mine was an older gal at my church that few people paid any attention to. But man, did she pour some strong Bible into me!
Paul wrote that (quote) "may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ". 2 Cor 11:2 To put it in Tim's words...to get us to 3rd grade. But we are not to remain 'children' in Jesus...but to grow up to be mature believers. 'Mature' means to have spiritual discernment, living/having a lifestyle pleasing to God, that sinning is dropping off (we NEVER become sinless in this life)...but we can sin less, than before. Having more faith and confidence in Christ. Essentially, the Bible says we are rewarded for this in Heaven. These are not "self" works, but the work of the Spirit. Spiritual growth means that our character and thinking is shaped less like the world, and becomes more like Jesus. Paul wrote in Romans 12:1-2 Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the re-newing your mind." In other words, let Jesus form your world-view.
Come on Tim!! What a word the way you broke this down really resonated with me. Maybe even more because I’m going through Ephesians currently but good stuff brother!
AMP So this I say, and solemnly affirm together with the Lord [as in His presence], that you must no longer live as the [unbelieving] Gentiles live, in the futility of their minds [and in the foolishness and emptiness of their souls],
Hi thankyou so much for everything you make available I would like to Know what bible version your reading from Love to you Tim and your family in Christ ✝️💜✝️

Sometimes we are the only Jesus someone may known so represent Jesus in truth and in love of the holy Father...
YES! The scripture says Godliness has value for this life AND for the NEXT! (1 Tim 4:8) Think of that!!!
" Allow Jesus to become the version of you that you cannot become for yourself"
That really stuck out for me as well.
That's the simple way to describe it beautifully!

Could you possibly link Josh’s teaching on the 1:3-14? I’ve looked so hard for it and can’t find it.
