Hi guys!! Thank you so much for watching, a surprising amount of people have seen this video and that's really cool! Thanks for watching and subscribing! Watching this video makes me laugh because my driving is a bit rough, haha, but I have been practicing more and improving (at least I hope I am haha) I will probably do an updated one in a few months closer to getting my actual license!
I'm curious, what type of car do you have? Aside from older cars, the PRNDL is normally in the center of the car, I've never seen a newer car with it beside the steering wheel like that.
I see positioning was causing some doubts, this is quite common. To help with positioning set a reference point, park up near the kerb and take note of where the kerb appears, it will probably be someone near the middle of your front window, this can be your boundary. Also once parked up get out of the car to prove to yourself where you are, most are surprised when they see! Also looking far ahead in the centre of you lane will help with positioning.
I just got my permit and my dad took me out yesterday, I DIDNT KNOW THE PEDALS WERE SO DAMN SENSITIVE LIKE WTFFF, I barely touch them and go like 50 mph
Kate Hola girl sameeee 😂😂 The very first time I drove was in a truck so I was used to like having to really put my foot down on the gas but in the car it’s so touchy
I'm the same way. The instructor warned me a few times about this and today I would have actually failed my drivers test, luckily I was only on my 15th hour. Basically what happened was I stopped the car too far on the left side leaving not enough room for the others to pass by. Luckily there was no one on the road cos it was a small village street
Angel Johnson same here like wtf my mom stresses me out I almost went towards the sidewalk cause she just kept yelling the whole time and I started panicking.
i can see as you drive how awkward you are because you're new, but you're doing SOO much better than me when i was new. i almost got us killed TWICE lmfaooo and i had many breakdowns because i thought i'd never be able to drive good. i even refused to drive at one point because i was so scared. now i drive into the city, busy interstates, highways, curvy mountain roads, roadtrips to other states, and more. it takes time, practice, and determination. and if i did it, deadass anyone can. on god.
Salem McKenna thanks I needed to to read this cause I did my first drive on the road, i was scared as shit and you have to be aware of your surrounding all the time. I have to schedule my drivers test soon but I really hope I can pass it
Salem McKenna Literally on my moms account and Idc because your comment is important and I don’t want to lose it. I’m 21 years old and I’m JUST learning how to drive because of how scared I’ve been. All my friends are driving now and I feel bad that I can’t contribute when we go places. I just now started driving on streets, I absolutely refused and stayed in neighborhoods for the longest time. Today I drove us back and forth a few times on the streets with stoplights and stuff and I finally felt like an adult, but I still can’t shake the feeling that I’m never gonna be good at this but this is the first time someone has said something that actually had some effect
I don’t even realize when someone is behind me haha I get scared when there is no light and I have to turn around a corner I never know when to stop and when to look and stuff
It definitely does lighten up the more you do it.. Hinting out a secret, before I get start the car i take a piece of gum or two and chew on it while driving. Relieves SOOO much anxiety and stress
I literally drive fast And all I have drove was my ranger and the gas and stuff is touchy and my anxiety gets the best of me I freeze when I get scared and that’s no good when your driving and can’t make your self stop

All these comments about everyone wishing their mom was as chill as yours when driving...I FEEL THAT😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 my mom be yelling things left and right I be sooo confused 😂
It's funny cause I barely turned 14 this month and I went out today. For my first time I pressed the gas too fast and I went really fast. And I pressed the brake, I felt bad because my sister fell when I pressed it😂😂 I was like, "told y'all, y'all need to put your seatbelts"😂
blakkbarbiie that once happened to me because I saw a white car following me and I parked and started running. They turned out to be a family friend 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
weirdly the hardest part of driving for me is the fact that the steering wheel can be right side up but when you’re turning right or left OR going straight which is hella confusing lmao
You are exactly like me! I’m just learning to drive and I can’t figure out how far I am from the curb. Also I get so paranoid when there are cars behind or in front of me. Luckily my mum is as calm as yours.
Lmao yeah. I feel like 98% of people in Canada or the USA learn to drive automatics. In Europe most people learn to drive manuals. At least in Denmark, EVERYONE (except maybe very rare cases where perhaps someone has a handicap or something) drives manuals when first learning to drive.
My dad made me drive for the first time in very narrow roads with kids playing literally in the middle of them and kept yelling at me everytime I got something wrong with the basics. At the end of the day I cried in my bedroom because I felt really bad🤣

Same here I don't even know how to ride a bicycle lol so the first time my dad taught me how to drive his car it was kinda stressful but i was proud that i could drive straight and even turn on the right but the same day he told me to reverse the car and i was panicking i was gonna hit stuffs lol and he kept yelling so i hold myself and got my breakdown at home and since then he didn't ask me to do another session again haha but well i'll have my theory test tomorrow and after that i'll look for a driving school
it’s so weird watching new driver videos. like i used to watch them before i could drive and be like “omg i could never do that” and now that i’m almost 17 i’m like “what??? that’s not hard at all” lmao
I learning how to drive and I’ll be 26 this month. I found this video and it’s so relatable. I live in the US but I have to agree it’s so hard to look in the mirrors. Watching you definitely gives me hope for myself. :)
I’m 23 and I’m trying to learn how to drive after my sister has terrorized me so much. I’m scared since I’m kind of learning by myself and everyone in my state likes to get into accidents 😭😭

I mean no... I’m still only 15 lol, the only thing I’ve trove is my dads truck. I just don’t get paranoid over driving, my brother was really paranoid but I am just chill idk why
My mum refuses to let me practice with her (I take driving lessons ovbs haha) because she tried it with her eldest and they both ended up arguing and yelling throughout it 😂
I already have my permit, so hopefully I’ll get my license in January when I turn 16.But driving is so scary to me and I relate looking in the mirrors is really hard and parking too but wish you the best of luck!🥰
Oh awesome!! I will get my full license hopefully in March/April, and haha yess the struggle is real! And Thanks, good luck to you too on getting your license!
Dahlia Rudd well, you’ll be able to get your G2, which is not really a full license. After getting your G2, you have to wait atleast a year to give your G road test, which gives you the actual full license. You have 5 years to get your G from the day you get your G1 or else you’ll have to start over again. Luckily I managed to get my G within 2 weeks of my novice license expiring.
This is just cute. It makes me wish I would have had someone to teach me to drive. I had to literally just teach myself. Not exaggerating either. I had to break the law and go out driving by myself once I got my permit, since nobody was ever willing to go with me. This seems like such a better time.
The anxiety she feels is relatable. But after you do it is just so great. My first time i was so scared even tho it was automatic, after the first one i did it just fine. And i was so nervous about learning in manual but then again it was just fine, you just have to make yourself comfortable even tho anxiety do be making you feel like shit.
That’s the same way I was my first time driving and my husband was saying the same thing don’t worry about the ppl around u and try to stay in tune with the traffic and pay close attention!but the more u drive the better you’ll get!
I also have the problem with not knowing how close to the curb I am. My dad taught me to look at the mirror on the passenger side and see how close to the side I am. Then base where your car is, to where u should keep it.
I remember learning how to drive because I took driver’s training late because of track. But I’m 7months away from getting my full license. I had to get straight onto a faster road when I was learning, it was scary, mainly getting up to speed. In a few months, you’ll look back and see ur progress. You’ll feel comfortable driving in general in no time
Awe❤️ I just adore your mom! My mom was so mean while I was learning to drive, it's so awesome to see your mom laughing and actually enjoying being in the car :) this was a great video, and I hope you've got your license by now, or get it soon!
You have a excellent mother 💗 very patient directions are well explained.. you need to drive with more confidence and scan the road ahead of your car for any pedestrians or other vehicles... you've got it !!! Great job.. oh and RELAX 💗
Hey dahlia , I'm 16 too and it was my 2nd day of learning driving and it was hilarious 😵 but good hilarious 😜 ... though I've enough courage to practice driving again ❤ Happy to see someone like me ❣
i remember the first time i drove i almost killed me and my dad i started panicking bc someone began driving behind me kind of fast on a dirt road and i sped up due to pressure and my dad kept telling me dont slow for them they can pass if they want and i panicked and tried to turn on a different road fast i remember my dad getting mad at me and i cried n we called it a day i was SOO discouraged after that and time went by before i got behind the wheel again to learn how to drive
Stefan Jovanovski my Dad is teaching me both auto and manual but wants me to drive auto first to master just the basic gas, brake, and steering and when I’m really confident driving auto he’ll teach me manual. I got some practice on manual but for now it’s auto
I relate with her so much!! I drove on the main road today and my dad was freaking out!!! I was doing great until I turned into a parking lot, and I may or may not have drove onto a curb and almost hit a car that was in the lane next to me...I'm terrified to drive again
I started learning to drive today with my mum, and I totally did the whole hand pointing about which way I was supposed to turn and stopping and starting, and all I was driving was around a little island in a very quiet street 😂
so cute lol I remember feeling like that “omg there’s a car behind me...” “omg am I an the right lane??” “omg its busy here..?” hahah, I still have a lil bit of driving anxiety but with practice I should get more comfortable :)
Omg firstly you adorable. Love love your mother. I just recently bought a car all of a sudden I'm nervous to drive. So imma keep watching your Vids hopefully that will build up my confidence
Two years ago when I got my permit my mom tossed me the keys and told me that I’m driving home 😂 and I had never driven on the road before. I was so beyond scared and riding the white line the entire time 😂. I now have my license but my mom still tells me how to drive 😂
I think once you can and used to driving on your own, you're going to feel cringey when you are on the passenger side especially if you know the driver is still learning, so that's why sometimes peoples get a little bit on edge when they're on the passenger side
You literally just have to ignore anyone who’s behind you. I have my own car and I’m still learning to drive and the other day a van was right up my ass and it just made me want to slow down ever more 😂 you’ll get there and you’re doing great now!

She did great her first time! I'm 27 and I just got my license yesterday. It took me a while to feel comfortable, but she'll get it!!
Awww. It must be cute to look back on this now that you’ve been driving for 3 years.
Your mom is so pretty and sweet looking!
your have a cool name you have nice car to drive congrats on driving for the first time. your parking lol its okay it does take practice
I need my mom to be as calm as yours. Great work for basically your first time on a road
I love how her mom was so calm. My parents would be screaming. 😂
Awwwww you will be fine just practice baby girl you have a great awsome mom for teaching you my moms is in heaven i had to teach myself how to drive
You’re mom taught you how to drive greatly, what a lovely mom🤍
The anxiety she feels is relatable. But after you do it is just so great. My first time i was so scared even tho it was automatic, after the first one i did it just fine. And i was so nervous about learning in manual but then again it was just fine, you just have to make yourself comfortable even tho anxiety do be making you feel like shit.
That’s the same way I was my first time driving and my husband was saying the same thing don’t worry about the ppl around u and try to stay in tune with the traffic and pay close attention!but the more u drive the better you’ll get!
I love how calm her mom is. Wish my mom was like that. 😂🤣
I’m impressed by how calm your mom is. My mom be anxiously screaming at me before I even start the car
You’ll feel comfortable driving in general in no time
Omg ME im 22 and still haven’t got my license because I’m like this every time I drive
Your mom was so patient and nice! Love it☺️
Put your Clicker on. Love it. So Canadian. Reminds me of closing the lights.
Gorgeous ladies. That mom is calm that helps a lot for the student less stress.
I just got my permit and started to learn how to drive. Its kind of scary, came here to see I’m not alone.
Ok but. Your mom is GORGEOUS
Wow! This mom is beyond awesomeness.
No lie when I started driving someone crash Into me. And that shit had me shook for a coo months but now I'm driving again and learning.
Why did I feel like her mom might be calm but in the inside she's so worried
I love your mom she is so calm, while mine is screaming at me causing me to have major anxiety while driving with her 😭😭
her mom is so calm, for a mom.
Great job Mom! I couldn't learn with my dad at this age. Awesome composure!
Hey dahlia , I'm 16 too and it was my 2nd day of learning driving and it was hilarious 😵 but good hilarious 😜 ... though I've enough courage to practice driving again ❤ Happy to see someone like me ❣
“4:50 you’re getting so maaaddd “
Excuse me , come see my mom getting mad😂😂
i remember the first time i drove i almost killed me and my dad i started panicking bc someone began driving behind me kind of fast on a dirt road and i sped up due to pressure and my dad kept telling me dont slow for them they can pass if they want and i panicked and tried to turn on a different road fast i remember my dad getting mad at me and i cried n we called it a day i was SOO discouraged after that and time went by before i got behind the wheel again to learn how to drive
I’m learning to drive right now and everything you said in this video I have said word for word hahaha
I love how calm you mom is, mine was freaking out and yelling. Making me even more nervous in the hughway
I absolutely love this!! So funny to watch 😂 and I relate so much because it was my first time driving today 😂
Every body shood learn on manual transmision because automatic is so easy
Stefan Jovanovski my Dad is teaching me both auto and manual but wants me to drive auto first to master just the basic gas, brake, and steering and when I’m really confident driving auto he’ll teach me manual. I got some practice on manual but for now it’s auto
Yeah I need to get down the basics first and I’ll be doing some Manuel
Yes!!! Learn on a manual, because automatic is just D and you're driving. Easy
Fala bogu
I’ve always learned on a manual and when I first used an automatic it was unbelievably easy. It’s definitely best to start on a manual.
I relate with her so much!! I drove on the main road today and my dad was freaking out!!! I was doing great until I turned into a parking lot, and I may or may not have drove onto a curb and almost hit a car that was in the lane next to me...I'm terrified to drive again
#1 calmest mom
First video I watch of your channel.
I started learning to drive today with my mum, and I totally did the whole hand pointing about which way I was supposed to turn and stopping and starting, and all I was driving was around a little island in a very quiet street 😂
I can’t park to save my life 😂, I drove my boyfriends car and the parking job was so bad even after fixing it the first time
so cute lol I remember feeling like that “omg there’s a car behind me...” “omg am I an the right lane??” “omg its busy here..?” hahah, I still have a lil bit of driving anxiety but with practice I should get more comfortable :)
Omg firstly you adorable. Love love your mother. I just recently bought a car all of a sudden I'm nervous to drive. So imma keep watching your Vids hopefully that will build up my confidence
Can wait to be 16 I really like driving and I love cars. your mom is so patient
Two years ago when I got my permit my mom tossed me the keys and told me that I’m driving home 😂 and I had never driven on the road before. I was so beyond scared and riding the white line the entire time 😂. I now have my license but my mom still tells me how to drive 😂
Where can I park
Anywhere you want
Can I park there
No no no
I literally need a person like your mom to teach me how to drive😂 my dad is always screaming at me and its terrible🙄
Love this video. The mom was so cool.
Lmao! The part you were losing control of the steering wheel! Be careful! Love you❤️😂😭🤘🏼🥺♾
I think once you can and used to driving on your own, you're going to feel cringey when you are on the passenger side especially if you know the driver is still learning, so that's why sometimes peoples get a little bit on edge when they're on the passenger side
6:12 me when i came out as gay lmao
f lol
AHSNSBSSHDHSB
Hahahaha
Lol 😂
Same😂
She’s literally me driving 😭🤦🏻♀️
Your mother is absolutely adorable. Say hi from me ;) I like your driving as well. Super nice! You should´ve filmed your mother driving to :)
You literally just have to ignore anyone who’s behind you. I have my own car and I’m still learning to drive and the other day a van was right up my ass and it just made me want to slow down ever more 😂 you’ll get there and you’re doing great now!
