Why is introspective or peaceful considered sad? What I consider sad is hype, negative labels and schlock. I don't run from the wide range of emotions, moods, feelings and the many expressions and forms they may take to communicate life's complexity and richness. We do not live in our heads but are a part of everything that is. Being is enough for me. So far I found this music relaxing and of comfort. Thank You and Best Wishes all 🕊️

Embrace, claim, live at the edge of your well earned dispair.

Melancholy classical music is always comforting. It helps you more than the uplifting music, because it teaches you how to look straight into your emotions and solve them. It reminds us that we are not alone in being depressed. I love how a number of Chopin’s 24 Preludes and Nocturnes were included, they’re one of my favorites, especially Prelude in E minor.

The image you've selected to accompany these beautiful pieces only serves to enhance the melancholic nature of the video. It is one of my greatest fears that picturesque villages such as these will eventually slip out of existence, elbowed aside in the name of so called "progress." If it weren't for the tourism they currently generate they probably wouldn't even exist at all.
It makes me incredibly sad to consider really. No more than a century ago an average person with an average job could live in houses like these. Today more and more are sold off to developers to create some tasteless chain-store, or owned by wealthy businessmen or politicians as second homes. The cheapest one could hope to find a house like this today in a reasonable location is no less than a million pounds.
But at least they still do exist, though tourist-ridden they still serve as a faint reminder that beauty can prevail even in the most unpleasant of circumstances. I can only hope that the world comes to its senses and realises we don't all want to live in concrete cubes like some dystopian nightmare. I'd take a Cotswolds cottage any day.

Agreed, similar to travelling all over America and seeing the ( usually dismissive term ) regionalism or all the local flavor, charm, indiginal? style, culture, community... evaporating or turned into a theme park, realtors staging or shrine to the wealthiest/ highest bidders. A homogenized blankness like a pall across the land. No great difference practically being in Charleston S.C., Arizona, California, New England other than what hasn't yet been absorbed by a flattening sameness that bottom lines produce.

    • @mysteriousstranger6857
      @mysteriousstranger6857 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@petemavus2948 An excellent point. Unfortunately one of the setbacks of our modern world is the death of regional art styles in favour of functional but ugly modern designs. There was once a time where you could drive across England and see houses being made from dozens of different materials depending on what the region provides. Now unfortunately it seems as though businessmen are insisting on nothing but weathered concrete or cheap plastic tiling. At least there are some untainted areas remaining, such as the Lake District and the Cotswolds.

@@HALIDONMUSIC Oh wonderful! I agree, the Cotswolds are certainly one of my favourite regions of England; and I was indeed extremely fortunate to grow up there. I do still visit regularly, and luckily, it only takes around 3 hours by car. Although I definitely miss it, I’ve now set up home in rural Suffolk (Eastern England), and am currently in the process of restoring an early 15th century cottage - which is extremely exciting!

I think the reason why we like "sad" music is because it speaks things we don't or can't talk about, its communicating in its own language those bitter things which people usually can't communicate

idk if it's just me, but i mostly tend to imagine crazy pictures in my mind...like i go through all colors and face the endless blackness.
Without any emotion in my face, i just fly deep into my dark soul and questioning myself..
I don't feel sad or anything like that, i just think: That's me.
I was born like that and i have to accept it. I found my true sanity, so my views began to change, my friends, interests and the way how i approached to humans, just everything changed in my life.
I am happy cause now i understand myself, i am a complicated person and others who know me would agree that fact. As a result of this and my ridiculous imaginations of my emotions i tend to draw it.
I am a daydreamer and unfortunately i cannot stop it...my head won't stop thinking..

I feel so helpless. My mother has been so beyond stressed and frustrated with the house always becoming a mess when I leave because the children aren't doing their part. Me and her both have tried everything in and out of the book to get them to cooperate but it always goes back to zero like their brains reset every night or something. Her anger is starting to spill onto me, which isn't her fault, but you could imagine how it feels when I express that I'm frustrated at my inability to help her and she treats it like I'm trying to downplay her frustration. It's not like I can say anything to, "I've been doing this for 18 years, how do you think I feel?" I know very well how she feels by now and I've been there the whole time, but I can't do anything to change my past. Besides, conditions were not ideal. For a while, nobody was helping, even her, because we were all too depressed to do more than what was needed to be done asap, then came the kids, and we could barely keep up. I take the blame for not helping in my past, yes, it's a thing that happened, but I was going through trauma. They aren't. That's the difference. They don't struggle to get out of bed or eat propper meals like we had. Their biggest worries are their games and toys and getting what they want, when they want it. I can keep the house clean all on my own day by day, but when I'm not around, I can't do anything, and that drives my crazy. I've told them this countless times. Countless ways. They've made promises time and time again, but it never goes any further than words. Unless I'm physically standing over them and ordering them around all the time, they won't cooperate. I might as well just do it all on my own at that point, but again, I'm not always around. If they even did just a mere 2 chores each a day, for every one of the 2-7 days I leave for, the house would look so much better. They don't bother. They always remind me that they know what they're supposed to do, yet they never actually do it. It's causing such heavy frustration and anger in the family that the rest of us are snapping at each other when it isn't our fault. Everyone knows its them, but we can't seem to do find a way to do anything about it, and it's breaking us down. Nothing has ever been a worse frustration than seeing my mother be broken down time and time again only for me to be utterly powerless to do anything to help. I you can help it, don't have children. They're cute, they're sweet, but they are still just smaller people. They're people that have the potential to tear a whole family appart without yet having the mind to comprehend just what they're doing to the people that love them.

Melancholic music is like prayer, and prayer gives us energy and revitalizes our powers. As we recognize and accept our weakness, through prayers we draw some mystical powers from above. It is like emptying our own cups, and letting the divine powers pour bounty upon into it. One Baha'i prayer says: "Lord! Pitiful are we, grant us Thy favor; poor, bestow upon us a share from the ocean of Thy wealth; needy, do Thou satisfy us; abased, give us Thy glory. ...... Give us our daily bread and grant Thine increase in the necessities of life, that we may be dependent on none other than Thee, may commune wholly with Thee, may walk in Thy ways and declare Thy mysteries. Thou art the Almighty and the Loving and the Provider of all mankind." Thus, prayer helps us to have hope, strength so we become better persons and able to serve others lovingly.

Darkness is not all dark, scary, where all demons hide and lurk. There's a mystery in the air to it, it doesn't show you happy things and make it all fantasy but evokes a sense of mature love which is all bitter and sweet. Once you start, you want to know more and that's where darkness and malencholy lies. It beautifully and painfully exists.
