It’s one week since my beloved German shepherd slipped away in his sleep. We were inseparable and I’m left with a piece of my heart torn out. Adagio for strings is playing and tears are streaming down my face. I miss him with every fiber. He came to us during Covid and kept my son afloat emotionally and spiritually during that dark time. We rescued him and and he saved us.
German Shepherds are incredible and I'm sorry for your loss. I also have one - he too was adopted and I know it will rip my guts out when his time inevitably comes. But aren't we so fortunate to have known such a dog. I hope you find some peace and comfort in time.
