This is a very useful recipe. I find it difficult getting treacle here and the only option is corn syrup. So sometimes I don't try out the recipe requiring treacle. But now I can make it at home. Thanks for sharing the recipe and Happy New Year.

Do try it. Now I do not have to worry about what to do with large quantities of bottled treacle. I now make treacle in small batches.
