Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 67 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.)
The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris)
    Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.)
Robin (Dec. 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012.) Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins.
Barry (the middle) said, 'I'm the last man standing.' He was 75 on September 1, 2021, which is also the 50th wedding anniversary with Linda. They have 5 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Barry's voice is a bit more mellow since he is older, but he continues to perform to sellout crowds!!
Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry.
He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins! Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78, January 12, 2022. Maurice passed on the same day as her 58th birthday. 😪Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing.
At about the age of 2, Barry reached on the table and a pot of hot tea fell on his chest and arms. You can see the shine on his chest. His mom said he did not talk for almost 2 yrs. Skin grafts were not used in the 40s, so he was in the hospital for a long time. His mom said he almost died.
They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they recorded after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs!
I recommend the following songs: How Deep Is Your Love? th-cam.com/video/XpqqjU7u5Yc/w-d-xo.html Closer Than Close th-cam.com/video/m6XIdjEHLRs/w-d-xo.html One th-cam.com/video/KRUeMgzOCCo/w-d-xo.html You Win Again th-cam.com/video/KZY9oYSSjFI/w-d-xo.html Spirits (Having Flown) th-cam.com/video/ONmVEJnxysc/w-d-xo.html Bodyguard th-cam.com/video/Fx5XwIKCs3o/w-d-xo.html Emotion (Destiny's Child did a cover on this, but IMO Samantha Sang (original) is MUCH better. th-cam.com/video/b_wTZjo9azk/w-d-xo.html
At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2

I miss the 70's. It was such a fun vibe. Lots of color and music everywhere. The Bee Gees were the soundtrack of that era.
And I miss those days when a song was like a personal love letter between two people.

The Bee Gees are my all time favorite group!!!! These 3 brothers (Barry in the middle and his twin brothers Robin on his right and Maurice on his left pronounced Morris) are unmatchable! Singers, songwriters, producers! They wrote all their own songs as well as songs for other artists!

Love, love, love the Bee Gees and followed them through every genre they took us through. I have watched many documentaries on them and have watched many interviews with them through their career. Recently I found an Australian interview with them when they were quite young. The interviewer asked Barry, "Do you feel that Robin and Maurice have an intangible connection when they sing because they are twins?" He no sooner stopped talking and Robin spoke up and said, "We're actually triplets. Barry is just deformed." It was so funny. We got a peak at brothers busting each others' chops. I also felt that Robin was kind of saying, "No, we all have this connection", by saying they were triplets but he had to come up with a reason that Barry was taller and such so he was deformed. lol. I laugh now when I watch this video because of what Robin said.... (and I use to drool lol). So happy you have met the Brothers....I hope you get to hear more of their music. Thanks for your reaction. Take care and be well, hon. Peace

Great reaction to an absolutely beautiful song! The BeeGees have the best harmony in the business. They are my favorite group of all time and have loved them since I saw them sing Words on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1968 when I was 14. A suggestion for another BeeGees reaction is For Whom The Bell Tolls. Here is a link to the live 1993 version where they sing live outside along the water in New York City. Barry's beautiful voice starts it off, then Mo and Robin join in for the harmony, then the absolute magic of Robin's voice takes over and blows us away. This song and video tugs at the heartstrings. th-cam.com/video/iATnf8IlP8Q/w-d-xo.html

Oh! You hit the gold mine. The Brothers Gibb have more taet than one family could have. Sadly their baby brother died years ago at a young age. BARRY in the idle is the only onesurviving. Twins Maurice and Robin are both deceased. They wrote all their songs and also hits for Celine Dion, Barbara Steistand, Kenny Roger and Dolly Parton. Wrote music. For Saturday Night Fever and Grease.
AND it's live. No eletronics or auto tune.

I am still amazed at how many people have never heard this song, let alone the Bee Gees. I mean, I was a teenager in the mid 80's"ONE OF THE BEST MUSIC PERIODS IN HISTORY!" just needed to get that out there....I was dancing to this sublime song in nightclubs with my very first love. To know it still touches people the same today as it did back then makes me smile and fills me with hope for this world...it was so very different back then and us "oldies" all understand what I mean by that........nice reaction. Hi Bre, I love the Bee Gees. Such wonderful music. No others like them in their genre. They are timeless. Brings back so many emotions and memories of times gone by. I’m a new subscriber. You are so precious and beautiful. I just listened to your reaction to Tennessee Whiskey, Chris Stapleton. That’s how I found your channel. I love the music of Chris. So soulful and meaningful. A song I know you would love is Believe by Brooks and Dunn. It touches my heart so deeply and brings me to tears every single time I watch it. If you ever have time please watch their Official Video of Believe. The song itself tells the most beautiful and touching story of an elderly gentleman and a young boy. The song video adds to the beauty, showing these two beloved people and their strong bond and love. God’s richest blessings to you and your family 🙏🥰🙏

@All Things Bre You know sadly, Barry Gibb the lead singer of the Bee Gees is the only brother still alive. The youngest brother Andy Gibb not in the group, but a great solo artist in his own right passed away first in 1988. Maurice Gibb passed away in 2003 then his fraternal twin brother Robin Gibb passed away in 2012 leaving only Barry and his older sister Lesley Gibb. Check out younger brother Andy Gibb and a great song called ( Don't Throw It All Away ), released in 1978 for his Shadow Dancing Album. This song was co-written by his brother Barry Gibb & Blue Weaver and recorded by the Bee Gess in 1977. The brothers actually gave Andy the song for his 1978 album and later released their similar version of the song in 1979 for their greatest hits album

It's nice to see younger people enjoying real musicians such as the Bee Gees. Today's generation don't know what true music is sadly.

The Bee Gees and Andy Gibb were ALL brothers and of the few, if only, who embraced funk, soul and R&B and we're successful for it.
So, they prove no matter a person's skin color, it comes from within one's soul. You've got to appreciate their mark on the World their music left. No matter the skin color of listeners of their music, their music goes past color. Exhibit A.B.C.

Yes it was 1977 before autotune and because they were on one mic
There was no remixing the track.
They were live in a sound studio with a full orchestra and their band.
BTW they donated this song and video to UNICEF to help children &
It has raised over 11 million dollars over the last 46 years.
The brothers gibb were as generous as they were talented...

That wasn't the audience that was an orchestra playing and it was all live and that was all their natural voices it's 3 brothers called The Bee Gees, Robin Maurice and Barry in the middle singing the really high notes There's no auto tuning, there's no buttons pressing that's all natural when people were talented and could sing.

You did this song and I see no other Bee Gees song🤷🏾‍♀️.
I hope you decide to do more, if not if their songs, then the songs they wrote for other people.(see list below).
But I loved your Bee Gee reaction of the brothers (Barry, Robin, & Maurice Gibb). Also they had a younger brother (Andy Gibb) who had a great solo career. He was too young to join The Bee Gees when they started with him being 12 years younger than Barry (the one who led this song).
I’m not sure if you’ve reacted to any of these, but here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under:
Too Much Heaven (R&B) (you did this one)
How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard)
    Staying Alive (disco)
    Night Fever (disco)
You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco)
Fanny be tender with my love (R&B)
    Jive Talking (R&B)
    Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk)
    Tragedy (Techno? Pop)
    More than a woman (Disco/R&B)
    Love you inside out (Funk/pop)
To love somebody (R&B) (I believe you did this one from 1967 when they were really young). It was the black & white video one.
    Massachusetts (pop/country)
Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special)
    Alone (pop)
    Love So Right (R&B)
    Words (pop, 1979 Spirits Tour)
    Lonely Days (pop)
    You Win Again (pop)
    Run to Me (pop)
How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B)
    Kiss of Life (rock)
    One (pop)
    Wedding Day (pop)
Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country)
    Bodyguard (R&B)
    Blue Island - live (pop)
Our Love, Don't Throw it all away-Bee Gee's or Andy's version (pop)
    Secret Love (pop)
This is Where I Came in (live) (pop)
The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor)
If you want to see them (the Bee Gees) and how they work in the studio try:
    (A) the making of their song "Tragedy" from 1979
    (B) The making of the song "Just in Case"
    (C) The making of the video "This is Where I Came in" from their last cd in 2001
Some that only the avid Bee Gee fans might know that you might want to react to:
    My Lover’s Prayer (pop ballard)
    Letting Go (pop ballard)
    Subway (R&B)
    You Stepped Into My
    life (Funk/r&b)
    Children of the World (pop)
    Search, Find (pop or R&B)
Songs written by Barry Gibb (that other artists sung) -- alone or with his brothers (Robin & Maurice Gibb):
If I Can't Have You (Yvonne Elliman)
Woman in Love ( Barbra Streisand). In fact, The Bee Gees wrote every song on her Guilty CD, and Barry did 2 duets with her. And he did most of the background vocals on a lot of the songs.
Islands in the Stream (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Partons). In fact, The Bee Gees wrote all the songs on Kenny's "Eyes that See in the Dark" CD with Barry doing a lot of background vocals.
Heartbreaker (Deion Warwick). In fact, The Bee Gees wrote every song on this CD too. The Bee Gees also did the Background vocals.
Chain Reaction (Diana Ross) and yes, The Bee Gees wrote all the songs on this CD too. Barry also did the background vocals.
Immortality (Celine Dion) The Bee Gees also sung background. The live 1997 from Vegas is excellent!
    More Than a Woman (Tavares)
    Love Me (Yvonne Elliman)
Come on Over (Olivia Newton John)
Emotions (Samantha Sang, with a lot of background vocals with Barry). Destiny's Child also recorded it.
    Grease--from the movie (Frankie Valli)
Heart Beating in Time (Leo Sayer)
Let me wake up in your arms (Lulu), who use to be married to Maurice Gibb
A lot of Andy Gibb songs (Shadow Dancing, Everlasting Love, Love is Thicker than Water, Our Love, Don't Throw It Away; Desire;)

The Bee Gees’ sound evolved from pop to R&B in what became the disco music era, but it was their falsetto that was their unmistakable trademark… and it came about by accident many years into their career.
In the HBO documentary “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart,” surviving Bee Gee, Barry Gibb, takes viewers inside the studio, showing archival footage performing with his brothers Maurice and Robin and honing their signature sound.
In 1975, the band took the advice of veteran rocker Eric Clapton and went down to Miami to record their first album since the split at Criteria Studios in 1969. “I thought those guys were really an R&B band that hadn’t really worked that out yet, and I thought, man, this would be so good if they could pick up on what’s going on in America,” Clapton said.

It was in Miami that the Bee Gees began experimenting with new sounds, piggybacking on the influence of R&B and shows like “Soul Train.” While recording “Nights on Broadway,” producer Arif Mardin asked that someone harmonize while screaming in the background, Maurice remembered. That was the first time Barry sang falsetto.
“I was thinking, my god, where is this coming from? I can do this. My whole life I never knew I could do this,” Barry joked.
“Everybody’s giving me credit,” Mardin said in the film. “No, he was singing it. I said, ‘Keep on doing it.'”
The band soon embraced disco and dance music, making use of Barry’s falsetto, which he wields with almost astonishing ease. “We found another sound; we found a new sound. I came up with a lot of new ideas to suit the falsetto,” Barry remembered. “Everybody was saying the same thing: ‘Do that falsetto again, do that falsetto again.’ It was fine for me; I was having a ball.”

You may be young, but it is impossible for you to not have heard one of their songs...even if they weren't recorded singing it. They were prolific song writers. And they NEVER learned to read or write music! Pure genetic talent from 3 brothers, and their younger brother Andy. You should totally do a review of one of Andy's song. He died young.
They donated all proceeds of this song to UNICEF for children. Regarding the orchestra in the video: this was filmed in a recording studio and that was the orchestra playing the music.
