What is that black line? Is it a highway, or a fence, or a crack in the Earth? Ok, at a close-up, the beautiful construction is seen. And the fence has a shadow.

@@dougsdiscourse8939 There is border wall going up in Texas, NM, And Arizona. 371 miles within months of completion. Another 360 miles funded and in the pre-constuction stage. It is said that 1100 miles of the Border does not require wall because of its remote locations and rugged terrain.

Lots more wall is going up. But they picked the stupid design, I guess due to cost. It was supposed to be round on top, but it's just flat, and people can hook things to it and climb over then slide down. But, MOST people won't, and by the time they do, they'll be caught.

The 2018 funding, plus the small amount of funding approved in 2017, will fund the construction of:
Thirty-three miles of new fence and 35 miles of replacement fencing in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, where the existing fencing has many wide gaps.
Twenty-five miles of new levee wall in Hidalgo County, Texas.
Eight miles of new fence in Starr County, Texas.
Twenty new miles of fencing in Santa Teresa, N.M. This fencing replaces anti-vehicles fences, construction starts in April.
Fourteen miles of border fencing in San Diego, Calif., which was built with landing mats, will be replaced by bollard wall.
Fourteen miles of secondary fencing in San Diego will also be replaced by modern fencing.
Thirty-five gates will be added throughout a 55-mile stretch of existing border wall in the Rio Grande Valley, helping the border patrol easily enter the zone between the fence and Mexico.
The border patrol is already using some of the 2017 funds to upgrade the fence in Calexico, Calif, near the Arizona border.

Remember when the piece of 💩 Willy Clinton signed a fair trade agreement with China, as a thank you for all the money they gave him to get elected!!! @@kenbrewsaugh2473 Sadly, you are so accurate as to be 100% truthful. I remember the old footbridge from San Ysidro to Tijuana, and the god-awful shantytown underneath the bridge that was there as late as 1974 or so. The stark filth and poverty was enough to turn my heart inside out; punctuated by barefoot little kids selling chewing gum for a penny a slice ... that must have been a fortune to them. I'm a conservative in every way imaginable, and can't even imagine asking or forcing any human being to live in inhumane conditions like those. I haven't been back to that particular border crossing since, am wondering if it's still there ... and if so, why hasn't it been destroyed yet. I have a horrid feeling that the answer is somehow economic.

In the late 1990's, while on a business trip to San Diego my boss, a licensed pilot, rented a small air plane. Together we flew south along the California coast towards Mexico. At the border we turned left and flew eastwards.
I was shocked by what I saw. To the north were huge open spaces and fields with the city of San Diego visible in the distance. To the south, the city of Tijuana lay hard on the border. In some places it appeared as though some people were even using the border fence as the back wall of their homes.
I came to the realisation that IF the people of Tijuana were to start walking north, en mass, then there was nothing the Americans could do to stop them.
(as an aside, I loved San Diego. It was there I found the Southern California Lifestyle I expected to find in Los Angeles. Los Angeles was a dump and a HUGE disappointment. I couldn't wait to get out of there.)

Very informative film. I wish you could use some wide angle of the mountains and the desserts to show viewers how this is really look from the distance. The perspective of the terain. Some of the terrains are impossible to cross, like the mountain and the deserts. I mean how can you survive in this type of condition without full hiking gear? You need to be prepared for everything and anything that comes at you, weather, animals, etc. I would guess there is no need there for a "wall", but maybe Electronic surveillance with Helicopters ready to take off on a moments notice. Do you have numbers of illegal crossings in any parts of the filming, like the highest and the lowest? The ports of entries are not showing much in details. Is that for security reason? or not enough time. One more, the drone was warbling to much and was no need for the close-ups of the "barrier"? I was going dizzy watching those parts of the close-ups. During the film would be also nice to see the names of the other towns and villages along the border. Maybe bit explanation how tall are the barriers along some of the part of the border. If I slow to stop the film and trying to look on the fence it was impossible to see the details how tall or how is made. I love Angel's peak, I wish you could spend more time filming that part. Otherwise again, I enjoyed watching the film. See you again? on the other parts of the border? I am not sure if the budget allows. Do it again, a documentary from the whole border? But definitely, I would enjoy seeing more parts of the border, not just for the pure filing but this was an excellent way of seeing United States Of America. Parts that I would never venture or most if anyone. Thank You.

Well done to Trump for his wall idea. There are many ports of entrance to the US. When people visit you they should come through the front door... not the the window or roof!

President Trump, and all sane Americans, want the wall, because it will greatly slow the out of control illegal crossings until Americans can get the impotent Congress to stop the incentives that make America a target of opportunity for the illegals.
