That welcome home to Guatemala 💪🏽 thanks for showing the Central American experience. As a Xicano, I feel like we Mexicans overshadow and control the narrative of the Latin American immigration in the western US and do not respect the extra hardships Guatemalans, Salvadorians, Hondurans, Belizeans, and Nicaraguans go through just to get to the border.
It seems there is corruption in all govts. Mexico, govt with the wealthy (hello intents of the R party leadership) are a basis of this, but Ams need to own our hidden history, when oil found in Mexico in 70s during the embargo/"energy crisis" Mexico was loaned all kinds of money, not just by US. The price came down, Mexico was left hanging, except for the loans, long story short, the Banks - the 'investors' - said keep up on your payments, interest 1st, oh now can't? The govt 'agreements' now demand Stop your population vaccinations etc and pay us 'our' interest 1st and instead. Etc, etc. The poverty and corruption sending people across the border is directly connected to the US, and other countries. The desperate follow follow the same attempts you ancestors did, and what you would if you faced the same. The banks/corps, and their political party, here prime you to see the resulting poor with hate, so you will never look at the banks/wealthy/party, even as the wealth gap grows, as you are eased closer to the circumstance of these also wronged citizens. What is governing? The protection of those with already enough or protections of all the citizens, or all those who pay proportionate taxes. Why do those who pay taxes protect those don't but maintain great wealth, not being workers nor taxpayers? What would the founders say? What really is 'originalism,' besides another diverting excuse?
Such a beautiful and educational documentary that every American citizen regardless of political affiliation should watch with an open heart, seeing it for what it is, a documentation of a human experience, it connects us all and no physical barriers can prevent it.
Open your home then... your words are nonsense. This documentary is framed in the most extreme way to make your heart bleed. It works, I feel for them. I love them. My girlfriend was one of them, I have many friends that were one of them and I'm happy they are here but regardless of all that, the rules are the rules for a reason. It's easy to talk like you are when you're not knowingly paying the cost. I dislike my life as well sometimes, I'd rather live like Lebron James but I can't go into his home and live there. There's so much more going on than watching a couple of people's stories. Feel sorrow but it changes nothing.
what's beautiful about it ? criminals and foreign nationals invading the United States . what the United States needs to do is sell hunting tags for foreign nationals
At 38:40 when the border agent said that there are legal ways to do it, that is BS. And I am sure his family most likely came illegally. Only the rich can get tourist or student visas to enter the USA.

Thanks for showing this, when I was 12 years old I spent 3 days with my parents in the Arizona dessert, the “Coyote” got lost, left us in the dessert and he was gone by the third night. At least he was kind enough to call ICE and let them know where we were. I will never forget the endless miles we walked day and night in the dessert. We ran out of water and food, hid under trees every time we heard a helicopter, painted my shoes black 😂 …at my young age, I didn’t suffer many physical injuries but many others did, my mom couldn’t walk for a week after that. An experience I will never forget.

"Illegal" immigration
That welcome home to Guatemala 💪🏽 thanks for showing the Central American experience. As a Xicano, I feel like we Mexicans overshadow and control the narrative of the Latin American immigration in the western US and do not respect the extra hardships Guatemalans, Salvadorians, Hondurans, Belizeans, and Nicaraguans go through just to get to the border.
Then don’t go to the border!
@@MsAmique what 😂 it's our border too babe, you gonna go to Juarez by yourself and establish a military-enforced buffer zone?
I agree
She was , she is , she made me feel so compassionate. More than Me. .

Viva LA Migra!

I've never try the vulture soup before but that dog in the el Salvador cemetery said it all
Such a beautiful and educational documentary that every American citizen regardless of political affiliation should watch with an open heart, seeing it for what it is, a documentation of a human experience, it connects us all and no physical barriers can prevent it.
Military age males
Open your home then... your words are nonsense. This documentary is framed in the most extreme way to make your heart bleed. It works, I feel for them. I love them. My girlfriend was one of them, I have many friends that were one of them and I'm happy they are here but regardless of all that, the rules are the rules for a reason. It's easy to talk like you are when you're not knowingly paying the cost. I dislike my life as well sometimes, I'd rather live like Lebron James but I can't go into his home and live there. There's so much more going on than watching a couple of people's stories. Feel sorrow but it changes nothing.
Physical barriers can 100% prevent it. Ask the documentarian, his country isn't letting people in unless they're European.
what's beautiful about it ? criminals and foreign nationals invading the United States . what the United States needs to do is sell hunting tags for foreign nationals
At 38:40 when the border agent said that there are legal ways to do it, that is BS. And I am sure his family most likely came illegally. Only the rich can get tourist or student visas to enter the USA.

My in laws are Colombian and I feel truly blessed to have them in my family. The kindest, most caring and hard working people. They didn't come thru the migrant route but did so legally. But it was a terrible journey and they were treated horribly by the government. I love each of them and am proud to have them as my family.
My husband is on TPS status from El Salvador. My family came From mexico somewhere around the 1900's I think.🤔 anyway getting the $ together for his resident status has been hard. Hopefully I can visit my in-laws down south in the future. They love me and seem so sweet. Even though we've never met. I did date one guy who drove across and just never went back. Sweet hard working man.

They’re not heroes the CRIMINAL DOGS AND THEY WILL GET THEIR KARMA
You mean those with no moral compass, so they think the rules do not apply to them. Those that are too cowardly and refuse to fight the corruption in their home country and those that come here because they are looking for the easy way out. That's not heroes. They are just people running from their problems and those with zero courage to stand up and fight for themselves.
