Valle Vallenius, thank you for being part of the magic in this band. I wish you knew how what impact and comfort I and so many others felt when we listen to these versions? RIP
Loved the 1981 version of this song by British doo-wop revival group Rocky Sharpe & the Replays on one of their LPs ... not dissimilar to the Ritchie Cordell version. This treatment is quite good as well!
Shoot! This version is even better than Ritchie's original - which was produced by Paul Simon (and later re-recorded by Simon under the name "Jerry Landis.") Ritchie and I were classmates in high school, and he was still in high school when he had his first hit with this song. Great song. Sorry he's gone.
@ChrisBurtonCanada I know that J. Landis wrote it and made a recording of it but I don't think The Boppers knew that back in '79 when they did this cover. You can hear that they'd listened to Cordells version first :)
I just found out about the boppers and I’m a huge fan. How did he pass away? I can’t find much out on there bio so if anyone can fill me in I’d appreciate it. It’s such sad news to hear because he along with the group had talent
Ville did this song so very good, we all miss him🌹
The Boppers Would love to hear you guys play this again. See you in Söderbärke
Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Happy New year 2023!
Is he dead
Ville, en härlig trummis och bra sångare. Lämnade jordelivet allt för tidigt.

This was the only song the drummer was allowed to sing.
And Ritchie Rosenblatt sung it under the name Ritchie Cordell.
La buena música que se nos fue.
Invisible sax player
Gets me gosebumps!!!!!
Boppers are the best
Good....
aquí en Mexico hubo unos boppers EN LOS 60S cuyo vocalista era Paco cañedo
Viva el doo woop...!!!

Sorry for late answer.
Ville Wallen died 2003, at the age of 48. I'm not sure what the cause was, but he had a heart surgery a few years earlier.
Who plays sax solo?
Tik Tok! Är väl typ ba en app va🤔
en fin grupp men i dag håller ja på peter
TICK TOCK CHRIST HEART'S INNER PERFECTS, CHIP EVERYBREATHS TICK TOCK OUR GOD THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
What does that have to do with Jews, and all others? Ritchie Cordell (AKA Rosenblatt) was Jewish.
Ik hoor een sax , maar zie er geen !
