- In this video we will cover Photos for Proof of Relationship, Section 7 of Document Checklist 5533, for sponsoring your spouse for permanent residence of Canada

Hello. Thanks for all the videos. They are helping me alot in my application. However, recently they have changed the description of wedding/outing photos section in the checklist. It doesn't say that we need to mention the name, date etc on each photo and instead says that we need to prepare a seperate document explaining each photo. Can you please check and suggest how can we prepare the photos now as per the new requirements? Thanks.

I'm applying a PR for my spouse in Canada class (inland). I got confused on the "IMM 5533 Document Checklist, Section 5 - Photos". It says "Supply two recent photos for each of your accompanying family member and yourself." Which means not only the principal applicant need to submit PR photo and the sponsor (me) need to submit photo under PR standard also?

Hi Suyash, for the naming of document, should we supposed to mention sponsor's name or PA's name ? For example for marriage certificate, should we mention both of our names , or just PA's? considering it belong to both of us.

Will it be ok to send pictures of wedding in colour photocopies on paper as I have in what app and I want to get picture from there or I have to get from photographer. I have approx 40 pictures. Someone told me that photcopies of wedding phots are also acceptable. Kindly advise. Thanks

Hi I have a question, here in Ghana most marriage certificates are not stamped and sealed. In our case the original copy of our marriage cerificate which was issued to us on the day we got married doesn't have a stamp or seal on it.
We then applied for a certified copy, that came with the registrar General department department stamp but doesn't have our actual signature and that of our witnesses, because that is a typewriter version.
Note: The original copy is a real hand-written version which carry our real signature including that of our witnesses. Only thing is that it doesn't have a stamp.
The certified true copy has a stamp on it but the parts where we signed have the abbreviation "SGD" and not our real signature.
Now we are stuck between the two, and contemplating on which one to use. Whether the original or the certified copy.

Hey man, great video! The PR photo instructions also say that the face should be between 31 to 36 mm, and that's really confusing. What if you have a beard and hair? How would we measure that? That would get more than 36 mm. Thanks for the videos!

I am stuck with the PR photo and have no knowledge of how to use Adobe to resize the image to what they require. I scanned the front & back of the photo and sent it to google docks & saved it as PDF however I don't know if its the sizes IRCC wants. When I uploaded the PDF file it did not say the file was too big or anything about the pixels.....do you think its ok?
for digital photo, it should be ok. you can't possibly resize it online exactly as per ircc guidelines(those are for physical photo), as the scaling works different for each photo. just submit what you have online, make sure you follow the rest of the instructions very carefully. i covered this in the video, so give the last section another watch.

studio matters only for the PR photo. the ceremony/ritual/party photos dont need to be from a studio.

I applied for Outland spousal PR application online on 12 July 2022 and got return letter yesterday stating that
"Our office processes Family Class Sponsorship applications where the Principal Applicant resides in Canada. It appears that the Principal Applicant in your application is not residing in Canada given the information in your application documents."
What does this means, I am 100% sure that Outland applications can be submitted via online portal then why they returned my application.
Any guidance what should I do next would be appreciated.🙏

In one another video regarding the photo of proof of relationship like wedding and all, here you showing typing the name date and the occation or ritual on the photo on bottom right, but in another video you used different format like upload to google drive or add in pdf and have a table naming all photo names and the details, Now I am confused which one to use ? Did they mention to type on top of the individual photo.? ?? Please also make another video including the current new tension and its effect on sponcership.
on my indian pass port my first and last name is written under the give name and nother surname. should follow the passport and put nothing in surname?
Hi Suyash , Could you answer one imp question. can we give 'personal google drive sharing links' of event highlights? isn't it more stronger proof . (here assuming that not uploaded on fb or Ytube) . They havent mentioned as such restriction anywhere. rather asks us , any social media info. to provide. link are also one of the kind. (also, just pd, usb , cd not allowed mentioned, may be tht's for paper based application.)
We can make related note ,also They can choose whether they need to view or not .

While the idea is well thought out, id say NO, not recommended. Since they haven’t really mentioned it anywhere, it is NOT a good idea to take this risk. Go with the instructions. Upload actual documents and forms online. Feel free to verify this with a regulated consultant or lawyer.

Hi Suyash,For the process of starting up the spousal sponsorship application online,I know it may come across as a dumb question but do I (sponsor) or my wife (PA) need to create their profile?
if sponsor is doing the application on behalf of applicant, it's easier if sponsor creates the profile.

Question brother, for PR phot where we write photography studio name, Address and date taken on that back so all these information should be stamped mandatory or I can hand write it?
I think hand writing it should be ok. Double check the instructions to be sure( link in the description for guide)

1. I live in Canada and the PA lives abroad. I need to submit 20 hard copies photos. Will it be ok if I wrote all the details behind the photos or is it better if PA wrote all the details? Do you think the handwriting could be a problem?
2. Just to be clearer, the name and DOB on the back should be of the PA, my spouse. (Sorry for asking, I know you explained but I need to make sure, thank you)

1. Please let me know how I can put the photograph shop details in the back on the photo if my spouse took the digital photo From The Shop and Sent It Directly To Her BY Email Without The Company Stamp.
2. Will the Canada immigration department accept the digital photo without the company stamp since most of the photograph shops send the digital photos by email to their customers?
3. Can she take a photo of the receipt with the date of taken if it's applicable for the approvals?

There are no instructions on the order that I could find. So I would hope order doesn’t matter

you can combine the stamped passport pages with the main passport pages(front and back) and upload as single pdf document

Hi Suyash, uploading Sponsor's docs (Copy PR, Employment letter etc.), labelling should be in sponsor's or applicants name?
sponsor's documents should have sponsor's name.
if you have a mac, you can reduce the file size without much of issue. open the photo in preview, go to tools -> adjust size. reduce the resolution to around 70-100 DPI and reduce the resolutions to around 1000/1600.. say okay.. and save. this will scale the photo down by almost 80% without affecting its quality. no need to upload personal photos to unknown website!

1 by 1 or in groups or all together, which ever way you want. as long as they are clear and dont exceed the upload limit provided by the portal, you should be fine.

Yes, that is correct. You will need to write Name and DoB of the Principal applicant, and Context (story) behind the photo.

I have a question. We did a lot of our photos at places we traveled together. I am realizing my husband has sunglasses in many of our photos. Do you think this will be a problem? It is clearly him in photos and the photos are crisp and people our friends in photos with us.

as long as you have valid proof of marriage, all certificates, documents, you should be ok.

you will need to get a certified translation. you can find certified translators on google. whole chat in not needed. just a subset should be ok.

How many photos we can upload or send of marriage proof, If in 20 photos we unable to provide complete function details. Can we send 30 photos or not ? Send we send collage photos and 2 Passport size which is mentioned in the checklist should be same photos or different ?
You can absolutely send more than 20 photos. I sent 35. Personal photos for permanent resident card and proof of relationship photos are different. So I would say send them separately
Can i make a collage (im going for 4 for clarity) and make one word. Therefore having 20 word file with 4x20 pics. Each less than 4 mb?
Should be fine as long as the requirements are met
