Pretty sure ur camera should be able to get more than 1506x846. The sd overclocking module should allow close to 90MB/s. Look on the forum.

Is anyone aware of the reliability of the overclocking? I'd be concerned about overheating.

@@EverythingWilsonMalone no one has ever mentioned overheating. Only the SD card slot is overclocked afaik
It seems to work reliably with Sandisk 95 and 170 cards

What are the file sizes like when filming raw with this canon MLV stuff? Would you say this work flow is advisable for making amateur TH-cam videos, or is it a bit of a gimmick?

File sizes are huge. Several GB for only ten seconds of video. The youtube workflow would only be for me (personally) for what I would consider 'higher tier' creative work.

@@EverythingWilsonMalone thanks for the reply 😀. The footage I've seen looks very good, the dynamic range is certainly something, colour very impressive! But it seems like file size, and transcoding time, might be problematic for me to make 10-20 minute nature videos.
I was considering buying a rebel t7i to try this out. However It is a tough call spending several hundred on a camera just to try a very unorthodox work flow, lol.

@@Jason-fp7vi Well, the MLV APP makes it at least doable. Every video I make is an exercise in patience.

@@EverythingWilsonMalone I saw your video of Hawaii, really nice! The colours are incredible.
Is there a good place to get condensed info on magic lanterns raw video? Information on the magic lantern forum seems scattered and its hard to figure out recommended cameras for this

@@Jason-fp7vi Yeah, you'll find that the forums are super scattered, and the manual is very generalized. Your specific process depends on the camera that you use. Just make sure there is a complete and tested module for the camera you want. Not every one is compatible. I hear the 5DIII is the GOAT for magic lantern. I use the 70D with the overclock module, and it works good.
