Shoot it off bags.. lean into it... I guess it didn't shoot that good.. not a close up of the target 😂
Most exciting gun review video I’ve seen. This guy showed pure enthusiasm for this rifle and was very informative of the details of the rifle with excellent video footage of those details.
😆 that scope is mounted wrong I'm surprised you even hit the target omg
That's to prevent the ejected casings from hitting the scope. It's rotated 90 degrees CCW so that the horizontal adjustment is now the vertical and the vertical is now horizontal. It's sighted just fine.
This lens is complete junk. It is impossible to get a sharp image, tripod or not. I have NEVER seen a sharp photo from it anywhere, including in your video and Tokina photo photos. I bought one for travel and it's completely useless. I can't even resell it, nobody wants it.
There is rf now
I stopped by for a camera review I just got on ebay and am leaving with a life lesson. Im a thousand times more excited to get out there and shoot now, so thank you.
what are the differences between EF 28-70mm f2.8 and EF 24-70mm f2.8? which one do you prefer?
My dad said treat a gun like a woman Lean in and let her eat
What type of scope and mounts are on your setup?
Factory ring mounts with a Tasco 3x-9x-40
I am really interested in the coma level of this lens. How bad is it?
It's put together quite well, and it doesn't have any optical imperfections like coma, however its resolving power is not going to be perfect.
Did you leave a filter in the back?
hii! I just got this camera from my dad who passed away who was a photographer it didn’t come with batteries in it nor a charger for set batteries where can I look for them and what should I look up?
Look up 2CR5 batteries www.amazon.com/Energizer-EL2CR5BP-Advanced-Lithium-Battery/dp/B00004TEYY?pd_rd_i=B00004TEYY&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_d_grid_rp_0_1_ec_pd_gwd_bag_pd_gw_rp_1_i
That is the infinity symbol, not F8
Great video! Hello. Sorry if this has been asked before, but do you know if there's a time limit when recording RAW on the Canon 70D, and if there is: how to disable it? My guess is it could be card-dependant, currently I'm getting just under 20 seconds per clip at 10-bit RAW. But I wonder is there a setting I'm missing? If I got a faster/larger card would I be able to capture multiple minutes worth of RAW? Thanks in advance for any assistance!
They've since come out with an SD overclock module that lets you have uninterrupted recording. It's still experimental, but it works well. www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=25786.0
@@EverythingWilsonMalone Awesome! Thanks for the help and the quick reply Wilson!
hi. on witch models does magic lantern works?
Some practice is needed
You're slinging bullets with a mini 30, had to sub, I really like those rifles, they don't come up for sale often where I'm from, but I'd grab one up if I had a chance, their one of the only semi auto rifles that I would buy, awesome rifles, enjoy it, I'm shooting a leveraction 44 mag right now, it just a sweet caliber, have fun, stay safe, shakyjake out.
Well...its usually the operator that does the shooting 😂
Looks more like a .308/7.62x51…. It’s not the same thing as 7.62x39
Ruger never made a Mini 14/Thirty in .308. Had a prototype but they never got it to work right. I wish
Bad posture.
I looked at some instructions on posture, and I think you're right. I will have to focus on keeping my body oriented correctly when firing.
If that mag wasn’t in there that gun would be atf approved 😂
Look at 20-35 f2.8 L and 80-200 f2.8 L they are fantastic and very well made
This is a fantastic episode 👏 Informative and humorous as well 😅
What film did you use?
I used Kodak 400, and Fujifilm 400. Whatever was sold at Walgreens and Walmart.
Some of my best astro-photoes have come from an old Pentax -K 55m F1.8 (radioactive coatings) lens. I will try this one out for Canon.
I installed 10-12 bit ML for 70d on my canon 70d but when i get to settings i do not see RAW video (MLV) in movie settings. Do i need to enable something first or what?
Yes, you'd need to enable the Raw video module in the modules tab and then restart.
What’s the biggest differences between the 28-70mm 2.8 than to 24-70mm 2.8
I don't have that lens, so I couldn't really say.
4mm
Can you please share the full res photos that you took?
Can’t you put the filter on, then thread the lens hood onto the filter? Most filters have a front thread to allow for stacking.
You could try it? I'm not sure.
I have a vintage version of this lens in which the filter sits on the rear side.
What are the file sizes like when filming raw with this canon MLV stuff? Would you say this work flow is advisable for making amateur TH-cam videos, or is it a bit of a gimmick?
File sizes are huge. Several GB for only ten seconds of video. The youtube workflow would only be for me (personally) for what I would consider 'higher tier' creative work.
@@EverythingWilsonMalone thanks for the reply 😀. The footage I've seen looks very good, the dynamic range is certainly something, colour very impressive! But it seems like file size, and transcoding time, might be problematic for me to make 10-20 minute nature videos. I was considering buying a rebel t7i to try this out. However It is a tough call spending several hundred on a camera just to try a very unorthodox work flow, lol.
@@Jason-fp7vi Well, the MLV APP makes it at least doable. Every video I make is an exercise in patience.
@@EverythingWilsonMalone I saw your video of Hawaii, really nice! The colours are incredible. Is there a good place to get condensed info on magic lanterns raw video? Information on the magic lantern forum seems scattered and its hard to figure out recommended cameras for this
@@Jason-fp7vi Yeah, you'll find that the forums are super scattered, and the manual is very generalized. Your specific process depends on the camera that you use. Just make sure there is a complete and tested module for the camera you want. Not every one is compatible. I hear the 5DIII is the GOAT for magic lantern. I use the 70D with the overclock module, and it works good.
In the 90's and early 2000's I took all my family pictures with this camera. After watching your video I think I'm going to reactivate it and create some new memories with it. Thanks.
Thanx for this video!
I have a samyang mirror lens... I'm so impressed with it I have it permanently on an old camera that doesn't have auto sensor cleaning... it's pretty dusty here so perfect excuse to leave it where it is. I take shots of my favourite subject... seagulls on a nearby chimney top... and the results even through a double glazed window are amazing!!! Imagine if they were actually sharp and in focus.. lol I also like the almost 3D effect I get because of the short focus plain... thingy lol I'm more hands on than know what I'm doing! I would recommend something like yours or mine as a beginner lens for those interested in digital photography... master the mirror lens and other lenses should be easier to understand. The fact that it has a fixed aperture means that's one less thing to worry about... from a beginner perspective.
I haven't shot film in 20 years I borrowed my son's Canon EOS 50e /Elan || and a roll of expired Superia 1600 film this camera is more capable than it looks it was released with a battery pack and a speed light 380EX I think it was the first Canon camera to offer high speed sync. With the battery pack you can use 4 AA batteries or one 2cr5 battery also the first canon camera to have eye controlled autofocus. Waiting on my prints from the local photo store. PS the battery door on the camera does not come off there is a space on the battery pack the door fits into.
Good point.
Great video. Recently purchased the same lens can’t wait to shoot with it
It’s an underrated one for sure!
This lense still use by the professional photigrpaher until now?
@ianabonita4413 well, there's a more recent model of this lens
Wiiiilllllllsooonnnnnnn!!!🌊🌊🏐🌊🌊 Great video buddy!
Thanks man
I have installed the camera firmware 1.1.3 does the ML support it? And if yes, how to install it?
It depends on your camera. I'm thinking you need to use 1.1.2 for the 70D specifically.
Canon 80D has MP4 or MOV Raw Video Format. How to turn or convert MP4 or MOV Video RAW files into .MLV App. Please explain. Cause Canon EOS M6 (mark1) & Canon 80D are useless cameras no C-Log as well as no MLV App.
You won't be able to use the 80D with magic lantern or mlv app since there isn't a port for it. If you wan't to try color grading anyway, try DaVinci Resolve.
Whelp, it's not working for me for some reason. I don't get the option to change resolutions or whatever at all. :s
Try the 10/12 bit version builds.magiclantern.fm/experiments.html
The only other thing I could think of is make sure you activate the RAW recording module in the modules tab.
Pretty sure ur camera should be able to get more than 1506x846. The sd overclocking module should allow close to 90MB/s. Look on the forum.
Is anyone aware of the reliability of the overclocking? I'd be concerned about overheating.
@@EverythingWilsonMalone no one has ever mentioned overheating. Only the SD card slot is overclocked afaik It seems to work reliably with Sandisk 95 and 170 cards
@@IliaSibiryakov Thanks for the tip
Can you record sound with this?
Yes, however to save bandwidth, it's probably better to use a separate recorder.
Does the auto focus feature work in Video Mode with the Magic Lantern software? If so can you do a video on it?
The 70D autofocus works great with magic lantern.
Great stuff! dual pixel autofocus can be used while recording raw video?
@@EverythingWilsonMalone oh nice!! How much crop do you get?
The crop for continuous recording is just under full HD and depends on the card you're using. Faster cards= less crop.
What is the maximal SD card write speed for 70D?
@@EverythingWilsonMalone that doesn't sound too realistic. There are, for example, SD-cards that support 65Megabytes/Sec continuous write speed, that should be enough for FullHD 24FPS 10 bit RAW because that's what the original Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera can do, but it's obvious that 70D can't do that. For example I own a 600D and it's max SD-card write speed is about 20Megabytes/Sec, I've tested that with Magic Lantern.
In Video mode it's around ~75 MB/s using Sandisk Extreme PRO UHS-I 170 MB/s and 240 MHz sd_uhs overclock. Without the overclock it's ~41 MB/s www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=25841.msg234510#msg234510
Can you video on how to prepare the file before apply luts?
how to setap raw apps my 70d body .......from bangladesh
Hey mate any update on your follow up video? the colours look stunning here. I wonder if it would be possible to record continuous raw with ML
It indeed is. A new SD overclock module was released recently that allows that.
No bloody way?? That makes the canon 70d with dual pixel af and continuous raw a total powerhouse on a budget!! Im going to get my hands on one soon if i can find one for a reasonable price.
It really is an impressive platform. I love using it.
How long are you able to shoot in raw? with a fast sdxc card etc?
I can do continuous with the image cropped. The bottleneck is writing speed.
Good stuff mate.. subscribed. Question, is 60fps possible?
I can do about 12 seconds at 60fps using SD card overclock.
