They should start in Andheri West... Long lines and office goers have to wait for 20 mints + for a bus

if they launch non ac version price will be less and more range per charge will get. most the cities stuck in traffic on peak hours. more double decker battery bus will helpful in metros and pollution free. battery swap tech also helpful reducing waiting period while on charge.

The prices are quite good. Just 1 rupee more from the non-AC buses for 0-3 kms. then 3Rs more for 3 - 9 kms etc etc. Mumbai's pollution is out of control most of the year, so this will be a boon if its closed and ACs. How they keep the Acs serviced, that is a bigger question.

The biggest problem in Mumbai is actually roads. If they are made properly a lot of fuel and money will be saved by everyone.

While this is a fantastic initiative, it is really not eco friendly in the true sense, as power has still to be generated burning fossil fuels or using nuclear energy. Load on the power stations is bound to go up resulting in higher quantity of fuel being burnt . Only if run on renewable energy like solar power, wind power etc. can electric vehicles be truly eco friendly.

It is the most exp friendly thing than the Stupid electric cars. Infact even with an average diesel engine , a bus is 10 times better than using stupid Electric SUVs.
Public transport is eco friendly . Not those stupid gimmicks like Tesla etc.

    • @socialistsolidarity

These buses are still more eco-friendly than private EVs, as these buses can transport hundreds if not thousands of people each day.

On the contrary, electric buses have a lower centre of gravity, because of a heavy battery at the bottom. More stable
