Your content is always great so sure. If you are testing new equipment or finding new uses for existing equipment I don't care if you are in your garage gym or in the new gym. Will also be interesting to see how you continue to improve / upgrade the new gym over time.
Definitely post more videos. Would also be interested in hearing how your operating the gym, marketing, clientele etc etc. Appreciate all the great content. Keep it up.
When it comes to your Soundsystem the sound needs to come from above you. When you’re in a bore walled room like that your sound will bounce off the wall so much that doesn’t sound good and it won’t be as loud if it comes from overhead it goes down and disperses throughout the gym. A good sound technician will know what I’m talking about, I install on the west coast of the United States and we do stuff like that all the time.
@@GarageGymReviews You may find that adding acoustic absorption and dispersion panels will help with echoes. This helps not only with music but just general verbal communication and acoustic comfort.
I know this is an old video but I'm proud of you coop. I love seeing good hard working people start their own business and succeed. How are things going now? Do you have a different location now or more locations or did it not work out? I would like to see an update tour of your gym. I hope you are flourishing man. Love your videos. Keep up the good work brother.
I enjoy your reviews. I would like to see the success and transformations stories of the people you train. Especially when their results come from specific pieces or small sets of equipment. Those types of stories can really inspire both the new and the struggling.
It's a really nice gym, but I feel it needs more personality such as well art, decor, etc. Additionally, it's missing some key elements for me such as mirrors and windows for natural lighting. I know it probably doesn't bother most people, but I love a gym with a lot of natural lighting; it helps it feel less dungeon-like to me.
Bose 901 would be the speakers I choose for this kind of application. They're designed to be hung from ceilings, and they're also designed to rely on reflections, so placement, and room treatment won't be important. They also can handle ridiculous amounts of power. I would hang 1 on each corner, and power them with a pair of Crown amps.
Very cool. I think your best bet for a sound system is still going to be the wired route. grab a few more of those PA style speakers and run the cable through the ceiling or along the baseboards. You can pick up a cheap mixer to control them independently
You gotta use a Sonos sound system, the speakers work off Wi-Fi and you can get as many of them as you want. They don't need to be wired all they need is an outlet. Hope this helps!
For sound try out sonos speakers. They say they’re for home but we use them in our 7000 square foot warehouse space and they put out massive amounts of sound. We started out with only 2 and they worked great, now we have 4, one for each corner and it can get pretty loud. Sound quality is great too. We bought wall mounts and put them up high in the corners, but they sell floor stands as well.
Thomas Rush I have to agree. They fill a space very well for their size. There are easy to just purchase another one and connect together easily. There a lot of other options there’s a lot of learning curve and it probably won’t function as well as just buying two or three of the Sonos speakers and placing them well.
Garage Gym Reviews I have a three in my workshop that I can listen to podcast while I am working on a chopsaw. My neighbor is often asking me to turn it down. I have tried out the five And it has a lot more bass than my 3. To talk with people I always have to turn my three down: so if you’re dealing with a lot of clients I would say the threes’ are pretty good to fill the space with sound. Their customer service is also really good because I returned and exchanged the 1 for a 3 and just paid the difference 4 months after I purchased it.
Fantastic facility! From the layout to the equipment and the entire atmosphere, you guys have done a tremendous job. I would love to come visit. Additionally, just because I think it will go under-appreciated, the orange polo and white pants combo is quite debonair!
Coop would love to see more videos on how you started to open your gym, best way to gather all the equipment, clientele, etc. also for sound you’d be better off getting several smaller speakers, running them through the top facing down, and having 1 sound system (you can get them on Best Buy or even Amazon), you can also add sound boards so the sound doesn’t project everywhere and bounce off crazy.
Grab 4 Yamaha DXR 12 speakers and daisy chain them (XLR WIRES). Set them at the 4 corners of your facility all meeting sound in the center. Raise the woofers ear level on the stands, set to stereo and bass mode and enjoy that sweet sound! Great videos, got lots of ideas for a home gym during this quarantine.

@@GarageGymReviews Coop, big fan here, you really are an inspiration, now im planning to open my own small commercial gym. Do you have any email? Just wanted to ask some insights or suggestions on my plans. I know you're a busy a guy, just taking a shot for some of your assistance. You, just being an inspiration helps a lot, thanks brother.
Coop! Sound! Go Sonos. Put a Play:1 in each corner, connect to a central WiFi network, and you or your guy can stream from your phones and Connect with Spotify or Apple Music. They bump. Will be plenty loud. Go with a Play:2 if you want to slam
Congrats on the gym! Love all your reviews. I have a 50x30 shop and use a Sonos speaker called play 1. Just one does my shop. They are wifi speakers and can be linked together so they all play as a stereo. Check them out. I would say do 2 to 4 speakers depending on how loud you want the music.
my suggestion with the sound system is small speakers that are 25W with a rack mounted amplifier, you can daisy chain the amplifiers together and produce sound with multiple amplifiers, you can then have feed in through either TV, radio, computer or even bluetooth receivers, it sounds expensive but just like other gym equipment, looking online you can find some sweet equipment for low prices second hand that can be upgraded later, you can hire a sparky to wire it from your office into the desired areas if you feel that the electronics rack would be unsightly. But me personally, I prefer to take my own music, the gym music doesn't empower me it basically lulls me to sleep or makes me feel like a walking pace even at 2 steps per beat.
@garagegymreviews for your sound issue, Sonos is the best. You can have as many speakers as you want linked on WiFi and each one can be controlled from your phone or tablet. Each can play it’s own music or all play the same off of one phone/tablet and they are small with a huge output
Your gym looks well organized and clean !!!!!! I would add an elliptical machine, some mirrors and some motivation posters on the wall. Also you could provide your customers a scaled discount depending on the period of their subscription to the gym. Lastly, since you want to expand, advertising through social media and local press is essential. You could also organize fitness happenings like competings with prices, etc. I wish you good luck !!!!
I love it Coop. I'd definitely train there. I share your love for new and exciting equipment and get pumped when I walk into a gym that looks like that.
Looks good, I'd choose slightly different cardio equipment but you do have a lot of bars, no big cable station for the hercules curls though, not to mention the mirrors for mirin'.
Best choice for you sound system Bang & Olufsen beosound edge in the middle of the gym.Mount on the wall in the top right corner of the goal (from bottom to center system180 sm )

Sound. Don’t. 99% of people use ear buds. Those that don’t, most likely want it quite anyways. Nothing bothers me more that the gym sound system drowning out my earbuds. Just my 2 cents.
I want my gym to play music since it's good to have a bit of sound drowning out treadmills and such. But if I can hear the music over my own, yeah, fuck that.
Congratulations. As far as music there are some options. You can take a look at Sonos units as a simple option or check out ISP technologies.. they have speakers with that run over network cabling. The larger units sm800s would fill your room with sound and can be controlled by zones. I've a contact if your interested
For audio, i would run a mixboard and a pro audio set up, suspended from ceiling. Something that you would see in a church or a live music venue. the reason is that it is more versatile, especially if you want to do classes and run a wireless mic.
For large area sound systems you should arrange smaller speakers in corners of the gym so they got outward towards the exercise equipment and customers
Hi Coop, congratulation for your new gym. I just opened my new facility too last week and i just love your settings, very similar to what i have, yours it's much BIGGER!. As far as getting better sound. Those speakers with stands alot of times can be mounted to the ceilings or walls with proper mounting hardware, and losing the stands.
