    Your drill press should be able to tap and drill you may need to adjust the pulleys lower revolutions makes it easier to tap. Beautiful work on the knife. Keep it up.

    • @FriedPi-mc5yt
      @FriedPi-mc5yt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not a good idea to try and use a drill press to tap a hole that small in titanium. Even a drill (as you saw) can break a tap in titanium. Hand tapping with lots of fluid and lots of patience is about the only way to do it without a CNC machine. Titanium is a pain to tap holes in. It binds a tap as quick as aluminum will (or quicker) if you don’t clear chips regularly.

    Have you done a rajah 3? Also, I’ve used a carbide burr with the depth set on a drill press for a super manual milling setup. G10 is nasty but cf and micarta “mill” well. That’s why I was so excited for the crucarta pm2. That knife, like the manix 2 g10 are very conducive to custom scales.
