ALCo Chugging Safari on the Guwahati - Chaparmukh Jn Section onboard 55815 Guwahati - Haibargaon Kopili Fast Passenger hauled by 3300 hp ALCo WDM3C 16519R of DLS Malda DLS (NFR).
Now this train is replaced by a Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU) Train.
The video mainly focuses on the chugging, smoking, pick-up etc. type of behaviour of the ALCo locomotive.
It is not a complete route video, so please complaint about missing places like Narengi, Digaru, Khetri, Jagiroad etc. places. Don't worry, a complete route video will be uploaded very soon ! So, please stay tuned !

Alco chugging, turbo sound gives us wings.! Forever alco.!! While on the curve it looks like a beast dragging a tons of load.! Even though there are lotta powerful engines. Alco takes the crown.!

Superb chugging Sound, Acceleration, Honking Totally super ...Diesel Engine . Power ka Baap.
After some chugging the loco pilot takes the notch down...and that sudden idle sounds heaven...superb catch.😍
Actually, loco pilot never notch down the loco, it happens automatically. The engine turns off for about 5 seconds, in which the circuit connection to the traction motor gets automatically changed. This is called transition.

Can some one explain to me please !! What is ALCo ? Those smaller versions of diesel locos used for shunting ?
ALCo stands for American Locomotive Company. The locos like WDM2, WDM3A, WDM3B, WDM3C, WDM3D, WDG3A, WDP3A, WDS6, YDM4 etc. are ALCo locomotives. These are 4-stroke diesel locomotives.
Whereas, EMD stands for Electro Motive Division. The locos like WDP4, WDP4B, WDP4D, WDG4. WDG4D, WDG5 etc. are EMD locos. They are 2-stroke diesel locos.
The small shunting locos are either WDS4 or WDS6. WDS4 locos are now rarely spotted as the entire fleet are approaching towards to condemnation. The WDS6 shunting locos can be spotted in almost all major stations used for shunting, they are ALCo locos.
