Last time I was at sand bar and in anna maria island I was 7 years old remember anna maria like it was yesterday, that was in 2009 (15 years ago) I'm 21 now and planning on going down there to see my grandparents and spend time on nice white sandy beach. I'm thinking around mid or end of october of 2024 this year.

Great video, we are visiting AMI in October and will definitely visit the Sandbar. Thank you also for showing the bridge. During a commute to Cape Coral I drove over it at about 1:00 am and couldn’t see anything. Cheers!

The Sandbar sounds amazing! So cool you guys timed it right for their new menu! We’ll have to check it out sometime. We were literally just talking about going to the beach once it cools down a bit.
The water temp has been 90, which makes the beaches smell like red tide. There were literally 2 other times we tried to beach it and the smell was so bad, we couldn’t get out of our car. So, definitely wait until it cools down. Anna Maria Island is a fabulous area. You should go for sure!!!!

So you said you wouldn’t swim here ,can I ask why? We are supposed to come for my daughter’s wedding in July so now worried the kids aren’t going to have any fun. Ugh a worried grandma!
Hi!!! It’s the perfect place to swim and I practically grew up on AMI. I wouldn’t swim back in July because the water was 90 degrees because the weather hod been sooooo hot. It wouldn’t have been refreshing. Have a fantastic trip!!!! You will love it! Jen xo
Sandbar is a tourist trap. No locals eat there.
