I am so happy that you have strange the dreamer,gathering of shadows and Eliza on your list.I too read the shadow hunter novels for the first time this year and completely got lost and fell in love with the characters and the world.The long way,What I lost and little fireflies everywhere sound very interesting.I am glad you had such a good reading year and Happy New Year🎆🎆.
My friend from Alaska sent me a copy of The Snow Child in 2020 - I loved it. I did not know it was based on a Russian fairy tale, but now it makes sense because the book had many fairy tale type elements. I loved the history of people settling the Alaskan frontier and imagined how difficult that would have been.
Aаh, I love The Snow Child! It's such a beautiful story! One particular thing kept me guessing until the end. Definitely the magic is in there - in the snowy woods, in Alaska inhabitants' brave hearts! And I could see the Mabel's beautiful drawings in my mind! I'm, too, love to express my feelings, sensations and stories I want to show to others in drawings :) I'm so happy I've found Eowyn Ivey's book, it's one of my favs now! Yes, the story is better to read in winter time, but I think in summer it brings some snowy fairy magic, which is not so bad in hot days :) As for me The Snow Child is my April read :)

The last 3 books are def on my list too... So freaking amazing!!! I need Queen of Air and Darkness and Muse of Nightmare asap!!! Aarrrgg!!! My fav book of the year was Hummbingbird Heart by A.G. Howard, which is actually one of my fav books of all times!!! It's a brillant new - adult-edwardian-ghost-novel which is mainly set in a 🎪 / 🎡 🎢 🎠 and on a 🚢... Do i need to say more? The long way to a small, angry planet by Becky Chambers is also one of my all time fav books!!! All the love in it... the second book is coming out in germany at the end of january and i can't wait for it!!!
