As a Big XII fan, when BYU fans warned us that Utah fans were obnoxious, I completely dismissed it as sour grapes from old rivals. But wow, not only are Utah fans everything BYU fans warned us about, but it’s far worse than I thought it could be. Ute fans run their mouths like they’re Alabama, USC or Ohio State. Crazy.

WVU is 0-2 all time against the Utes, so I'm looking forward to hopefully evening the series up and with a lil luck taking a lead in the coming yrs, though we won't play every yr... 😐.. That's the one thing I will miss about a 10 team league, getting to play everyone each season! Oh well, welcome to the conference, even if ya really don't wanna be here, lol. I think the fans will enjoy being here once they see how competitive and fun most of the games are to watch! And I believe most yrs the Utes will be right there at the end fighting for a conference title hopefully along side my Mountaineers!! 😁. Good luck, my friends in Utah, it's gonna be an exciting season I believe!! LET'S GOOOOOO MOUNTAINEERS 🏈🏀⚾🇺🇸

I think Utah will be a favorite to win the conference but I don’t see them going undefeated. One thing I will say is the Big 12 is a brutal place to play in. I also find it funny how they talk about home field advantage when they never played in Manhattan, Lawerence, Ames or Lubbock. All those places are very hostile places to play. I will also say Utes fans better wise up. OSU , Iowa state and Kansas are no teams to sleep on.

The big 12 went 4-1 against the ACC last year. Over the past 5 years, the bowl win rate for the Big 12 is 62.9% compared to the ACCs 42.9% win rate. Since 1998, the big 12 is over the ACC 37-36 in head to head matchups. The big 12 has had 4 current or former members in the CFB era compared to the ACCs 2 members. The narrative that the ACC is a stronger conference just because Clemson has had CFP national titles doesn't add up with the numbers for each conferences strength as a whole. Utah would be silly to leave closer regional opponents to go to a weaker conference, unless they just want an easier road in conference play.

      1. Notre Dame is not a member of the ACC, so their CFP appearance doesn't matter.
      2. If you are excluding everything Texas and Oklaholma did, then exclude FSU and Clemson since they are in a lawsuit to leave the ACC and are leaving. So by your standard of previous members not mattering, the ACC has had 0 playoff appearances.

      b) Foolish BIG12 fans claim that the new BIG12 is better than the current ACC.
      c) Tier 2 football will be fungible, so the 4-team playoff history won't be an accurate measure of Tier 2 conferences anyway.
"Nothing in this doctored up copy and paste mess negates anything I said in the post you are replying to. "
The original post referenced both bowl games and the CFO. Bowl games are no longer an accurate measure while the CFP is.

UNC is not going to care about a meaningless bowl after a disappointing end to last season. UNC would never care much about playing WVU.

Utah belongs where it should have stayed: The PAC 2 + Utah. Coupled with San Diego St, (a school everyone wants), if Utah returns to the PAC, Arizona and Arizona State are probably not far behind for lots of good reasons.
The Big 12 can keep Colorado and Prime. Prime is just one big headache and distraction.
Stanford and California would jump at the chance to bail on the ACC sinking ship. Even UCLA would entertain the thought of erasing the multiple time zone travel burden, and come back to the PAC and quickly. Suddenly the PAC 8 + SDSU is looking very respectable and almost resembling a facsimile of its’ former great self.
Utah, come back to the PAC where your great self belongs. Signed, a forever PAC loyalist. Go Cougs!

May i remind you, in case you've never seen a college football game, that WV is not only The 15th winningest program in history but they went 9-4 last year and return 91% of their production including 2 QB's, 2 RB's, Multiple WR's and while we lost a few players on defense, we hit the portal and got higher graded players to fill in so the defense will be much improved. Even if i was not a mountaineer fan and someone asked me should they put $100 on WV or Utah to win the conference?
