    Toyota siennas is such an humble minivan. Many of us rather being humble than flashy.

    With an absolute spending limit of $3000., my daughter just bought a 2004 Sienna with 300K miles. It runs beautifully, no leaks, no rust, AC is too cold, and it's a one owner car. It was $2300., and I encouraged her to buy it. We both figured, after giving it a good once over and a thorough test drive, if it needs $1000. in repairs, to bring it up to snuff, that'll be fine. It's going in to the garage thus week, for an in depth inspection.
    I think we'll find we got a good deal.

      Nice! Older minivans definitely seem to be undervalued. That 2004 Sienna sounds like a great find.

      @@ReadySetLouis Thanks for your reply. Like I said, I encouraged her to buy it, so I'm kinda on pins and needles. Your encouragement certainly helps. 😁

      $2300 seems a lot for 300k. Here in Hawaii, they are a dime a dozen and sell for quite cheap. Could easily find one with 100k'150k for under $4000. There's a 2004 with 86k miles, in immaculate condition, for $5700 that I'm thinking of buying. I don't know what is stopping me!!

    Good simple review on your van, sounds like you bought it for the right reasons and are using the money you make wisely vs buying something flashy and impractical for your personal daily use. As a 48yo retiree, I am looking at one of these myself to buy as a second vehicle to use as part of my lawn mower flipping side hustle; looks like there is enough space I could actually fit a small riding mower in the back with the seats removed, but definitely a couple or three push mowers anyway:-)

    • @ReadySetLouis
      @ReadySetLouis  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm glad you enjoyed the review! It sounds like a Sienna could be the perfect second vehicle to use for your side hustle. There sure is a ton of room once the seats are taken out. Thanks for the comment!

    These vans are great. The body style is a bit boring, but they are reliable as hell. I have the 2010 model with the better engine at 215k miles and it idles so smooth you will forget it running.

    My experience stay far away from 2004-2006 Siena and all toyota v6 3.3L engines
    These 3.3L engines were pure crap, are interference engines. Is why the 3.3L where only made for 3 years.
    The g1 sienna 1997-2003 3.0L and 2007 up 3.5L are far superior.

    • @ReadySetLouis

      My 2004 would beg to differ. It uses no oil. Zero. Looks like honey after 5,000 miles. It has 205,000 miles, original engine and transmission and I have replaced a flex pipe and struts. Easily the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned.

    • @rockyshore7017
      @rockyshore7017 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is the newer, larger V6 not an interference engine?

    • @nasanierulastname2997
      @nasanierulastname2997 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      3MZ-FE is fine. The key is to do the timing belt on time. Sure, not as nice as the chain on the 2GR-FE but “pure crap” is far from true,
      interference or not.
