Great tips! Personally I also like to put words in the search bar like “puffy sleeves” or “pointy collar” or “geometric print”, just in case someone is selling those not knowing it is vintage! I also check out the “retro” tag, lots of people seem to think it means the same as vintage lol And yes, just take hours to scroll through racks or on your phone! I try to not buy clothes that are for who I wish I was, because I end up never wearing those; I try to buy clothes for who I actually am!
You are right you cant go to a charity shop / thrift store expecting to get something you want everytime, but thats part of the fun of it because when you do go and find something it makes it feel even more excitingl.I cant believe how different you look in your earlier videos. Still amazing just different🙋♂️
I have to listen to you over and over again because you say things that are important life lessons. You say things like -keep an open mind, -dig deep for treasures, -organization is not perfect, -take your time to consider things,- don't expect to find exactly what you want,- allow yourself time and things will come to you -and focus on yourself. Wow! what a life coach. And you do it with style.
i always go shopping with my mom and when i find a vintage piece that needs a little bit of fixing or doesn’t fit me well my mom won’t let me get it so i can’t wait to be able to shop for things myself when i’m older and make my own pieces
love it!! I fount the cutest thrift store down the street from my school so I go there a lot and I hope to take my friends soon. I'm really into wanting to work in the entertainment industry. And they have pieces from movie and tv show sets. I picked up this beautiful jacket the other week which was used for a lot of films in the 70's!! 🤩🤩
This 6:40 reminds me of when i was in high school our scarfs must follow the school's dress code i.e. must be black, navy or dark green so a lot of the students just cut their school skirts and used the pieces they've cut off as scarfs lmao
I absolutely love your channel! I’ve been binging all your videos this week, you have such phenomenal insight and you make vintage shopping feel accessible. I have a few vintage pieces and want to add more, but it’s been intimidating to figure out what I actually like or how to tell what is good quality. So appreciate your perspective!!
Nice! There's a few tips that I didn't know of 😃🌼 you should do the same video but with jewelry too 🥰, it's always my biggest problem, I feel like there's not a lot of information online about it
This is the most helpful video that I've ever seen!!!! Thank you sooo much Emma!!! I loved the tip with the tags, to search about them to know where they are from. And again thanks so much about this vid...
great tips ! I would like to try estate sales (because i'm secretly curious about what the inside of people houses look like, and also it feels even more adventurous than thrip shops) but I live in France and I never heard of anyone doing this ^^'
Thank you for the video - helpful and interesting! ♥️ I just wanted to point out that you really remind me of Sally from the show Mad Men (main character's Don daughter). You look like her quite a lot - in this video especially :)
I never find anything at the thrift stores anymore. Here in Canada, it's gotten terrible. Prices are high and people pick the stores over to resell online. I've also had health issues lately and surgery and I find pants highly uncomfortable and I have to wear stretch and the exact right rise or I can't wear it, plus I'm 5'3" so any flared pants are pretty much out for me which makes me very sad as they have always been my favorite.

Back home at last. Next time I need to go to San Diego for work, I'm driving. It's actually quicker than flying
