The guy who was the fake cop in the scene they thought they would be saved was actually in the movie from the beginning, being one of the cooks in the kitchen, this detail was made to show us how much we normally don't even pay attention to those who serve us.
wooah like it was a type of symobalism that these people who dont take the time to care about the art of the food prepared they never even noticed the one they thought was saving them was the one of the people who was preparing their Dinner.
@@nobu3358 I understand your point, but I think it only works when you're in a restaurant where you can't see the kitchen. In the movie, the kitchen is completely open, you can see everything and everyone in there. You're not even going to look at the people cooking there for you? Your arounds? Because in the movie, none of them even bothered to do that, and that's sad.
This movie honestly is a great commentary on how people treat service workers and how capitalism ruins the ability to just enjoy things as amazing as food! Slowik wants to cook REAL food
Well this is because of a few things she wasn’t meant to be there, she was not the one he wanted to kill because he didn’t know her personally so she was never mean to him that’s why some of these people are here and some because he is petty but she reminded him the joy of simple well prepared food so that’s why but we are not really sure if she survived or not because there was a statement earlier in the movie about aged meat can become poisonous so even though she left we are still not sure she survived
@@RS-bn1ty Huh? Obviously she survived, that's the whole point. Cause she was from lower class like the chef and wasn't a pretentious high class asshole
Judith Light as the wife is such a treasure. She accepts her fate, even thanking chef. She knew that her husband was an all-time creep and did nothing, so she just shooed the girl to leave since she was an innocent in all of it.
Varek didn't ask for a substitution for a single meal. The implication is that during COVID he instructed Slowick to scale down the menu and use cheaper ingredients and thus compromise his vision.
So there was a deleted scene where the female food critic was getting waterboarded by the broken emulsion that she kept getting throughout the film. I'm not even sure why it was deleted because it would have made the movie more disturbing.
OH F*CK YEEEEEEAH! Just sat down to get ready for a stressful workday and saw this, I'm so excited for you guys to react to this movie! Much love to y'all, have a great day everyone! :)
By far one of the best reactions to this movie..... I absolutely looooooove how yall just got it from start to finish. 👏 👏 👏 👏 PERFECTION!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I actually read the original screenplay for this film and there were a few differences, the Hollywood star was originally going to be Daniel Radcliffe himself, additionally, in the cheeseburger scene where you mentioned the ketchup, originally, Margot demands Heinz, but Slowik instead encourages her to try his own sauce made with "Equal parts Heinz, mayo and hot dog mustard".
8:40 what is ironic about me loving this movie and hating him as a character is that im a notorious obsessive over art, and everyone who knows me knows that. but its just how i get about anything i appreciate, i feel i cross the line sometimes and judge what people say about things i like but i like to think sometimes i wander just before where the line is drawn
25:00 I agree. Him wanting to have sex with that girl and then not talking to her for 8months, is fucked up. But he’s a machine and broken man. Who just doesn’t feel like he would even have that urge. It’s feels out of character. That being said I love the female chefs storyline.
Is Nick and Cory not related? I thought they were brothers? Are they a couple? The grandma thing comment made me wonder. If they are a couple, love is love then ❤

hit the nail on the head
Geezus. I feel like shit cuz I definitely never knew that detail or paid attention. @@dess234

You make it sound like we should remember those people. Mate, he's just doing his job and I'm there to enjoy food, not to memorize people's faces.

A great detail was Slowik giving Margot bread in the form of the burger bun. Earlier he said none of them deserved bread, and yet, Margot got a bun

i mean… the black charred lace of the amuse bouche (melon cucumber balls) technically is a bread
Y'all r picking the right movies lately
The student loans part had me wheezing the first time I watched
Likewise and yet also so dark😅
“Basically Lord Voldemort of Food” is hilarious because the guy who plays the chef (Ralph Fiennes) played Lord Voldemort in the HP movies
Nice observation. Like no one knew this was the actor who played Voldemort. 🙄
@@Celestial26 well they said it before he was shown... don't be like that
@@Celestial26I didn’t 😂
@@TheICEgirl6100they literally mention it in the first minute of the video when reading the synopsis…
We know.
As an autistic person, when you said autistic enthusiasm to describe this, I almost died laughing. This is how the movie should've been marketed 🤣
'amuse bouche', its basically a french word for starter, or canapé, not the name of a dish. The term literally means 'to amuse the mouth' (pause).

It wasn't necessary imo
Eh. It was gratuitous and didn't fit with the rest of the movie, which was more psychological than visceral.

"Jane Eyre" "The Walk" "No Reservations" "The Count of Monte Christo" "Up in the Air" "The Help" pleaseee watch any of these movies they r wholesome
lol that double entendre “if they’re being pretentious to jerk off then it’s gross” “they kinda go hand in hand”🤣

This movie was so damn fun. The theater experience was mind blowing. I loved it! ❤
Man, I love this movie. And loved the commentary.
just gonna say, nicholas hoult is an excellent actor 🙌🏻
TH-cam’s most beautiful queer couple is back with a banger. 🌈
Best horror movie of 2023, I liked the twist a lot and concept of it.
Why does Nick remind me of Stu from Scream 😂😂
And he didn’t like him when they watched Scream which baffled me even more
lets GOOOO! Y'all pls watch Bodies Bodies Bodies, Longlegs, Talk to Me or Hush soon pls
Bodies Bodies Bodies was obnoxiously Gen Z (in a bad way) but it might be worth it to sit through for the ending reveal.
I liked the other three (Longlegs let me down) but Talk to Me was especially good
This is a film I wish I could forget, so I could have the joy and shock of the first time watch.

Lord Voldemort became a chef
If they ever make a Bioshock movie, Ralph Fiennes HAS to play Sander Cohen
That would actually be awesome. I can totally see him rocking the makeup and little pencil ‘stache.
The way Nick pronounced Ralph Fiennes made my head and heart hurt lol
OMG!!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE, I have watched this so many times and I'm glad you guys are watching.
This movie is a weird masterpiece.

Plausible Delishia! I know her lmao😂😂

Arturo Castro (the guy who ran off first) is hilarious. His video sketch “Guatemala, also a place” always cracks me up.
This reaction is gonna be good😂
