Harvest 2023! Baling Straw with John Deere 6140R & MF Baler and Fendt 720 with MF Baler & Bale Baron

At last we see some harvest footage. Sadly the combining I couldn't make it for but was done on 26th of June, the first bit of combining in Hampshire. Taken on Sunday after a few days light rain stopped play. Here we see two baling outfits baling the straw from the first combining with small and large square baler. R&A Marsh Farms LTD baling straw with their Fendt 720 Vario and Massey Ferguson 1840 small square baler and Marcrest Bale Baron 4245T making the baron packs, bundles of 21 small bales, we also see some action from on the Bale Baron. Baling also with another outfit with contractors John Deere 6140R and Massey Ferguson baler. Collecting bales with John Deere 6130M. With thanks to all involved. Filmed in Hampshire, UK. Those little massey balers are cracking bits of kit. Always amazes me how much material they can deal with, at the speed they do.👍

They are indeed. The baler could go faster but is reduced by having the Bale Baron on and needs time to pack the bales in. A Welger small square baler and sledge will motor on just as well through this size line as the MF one can if anything faster.

Thanks again, Sandy👍 For small bales it certainly speeds up bale collection time, trailers loaded in less than half an hour with baron packs whereas at least double with flat 10s.
