Since Reddit decided I am basically Exodia the Forbidden one LOL and they try to sell their biased opinions. I decided to release a video showing actual advice.
To the guy that asked them, I hope this build helps you and I hope it also helps to show you why seeking advice from anyone OTHER than the direct content creator is always a bad idea. A good creator can always explain themselves and always has evidence to back up what they are saying. Official people bow down to the company they serve (i.e. corporate slaves).
Also for an even BETTER custom chain blade build that I use, keep an eye out for tomorrow's video. It will be even better than what I showed in this video.

I started playing a bit over a month ago, and when I decided to go look for a build to begin having a proper setup, I stumbled upon one of your chain blades build that had just come out. That not only gave me a really solid base moving forward, but also taught me how buildcrafting in dauntless worked, and I could make modifications from there that suited my style as I got better at the game, or just make new builds from scratch for other weapons. I'm certain that if I ran into speedrunning builds and such instead, I wouldn't have had such a good time learning the game.

They're all in one playlist for people to watch. Spreadsheets are for the worthless neckbeards of reddit lol. At the very least, I live off content creation unlike the basement dwellers, hence it's better if people can at least tap into my vids, but for the sake of time, we have an entire playlist dedicated to all the currently VALID builds.
Ngl I was in your spontaneous yt stream the other day and I had mentioned I JUST started the game what I did was used your beginner hyper sword build to literally launch me into being able to slay heroic behemoths I'm going to use that build to get me to the spin to win build

Pay money to the game, to get drip, you have to pay (easy way)
That said, DO NOT Pay. The devs of this game support racism (proven on my Twitter) and the money doesn't go toward updates, it goes to their other shitty games in development.
So up to you if you want to support that nonsense.
The harder way is to complete the challenges every season and buy the drip they give you in the vault. It's free but requires grinding. Eventually though you will have everything.

I love this I gotta, say your easy axe build helped me out. I was like I can't hit as easily lol used to playing greatsword from mh through it would be similar your build. Helped me achieve that sane feeling can I ask is there way to squeeze in cascade for that build easy axe 2.0. By changing laterns maybe not I do not know. Last question will you be doing a build for God hand and the hunger for current patch? Ty for the awesome builds you rock.
Godhand really is only a fun build and not really efficient at all especially for clearing high level content compared to all the other builds for pike.
Godhand and Hunger builds are from previous patches and do not need updating. Those builds are still valid. You can search for them on my channel, just check that the build is AFTER patch 1.8.0. exotic builds are mostly fun builds. The best hunger build is called the "Actually Strong Hunger Build". Look for that. Godhand there is ONLY one after Patch 1.8.0.
You never need to update builds for the current patch FYI. The game itself never changed since Patch 1.8.0.
Cascade is useless on easy axe 2.0. hence why it is not used, cascade is pretty much useless on 90% of builds FYI. Only the repeater build uses it (due to lack of other potentially strong offensive cells).

Currently using your updated warpike build with chronotreads almost completed just needs discipline (beast asf), have any other builds with chrono boots malk wrist and thrax top? (For pike,chain, or axe which im gonna build after completing pike) dont wanna feel like i wasted farming all 3 of them and cant use them all at once 😂😂
Search the builds and see for yourself ;). However, nothing is truly wasted, there are a variety of builds that run one, two or three of those pieces. I have a lot of builds for a reason, but those are some key pieces in general, however they won't always be used together.

From the Lady Luck's Trial Store. It costs 150 steel marks per cell.
Just build an Easy Asian Robot build (any weapon) and you can do Normal Trials with potions to get the 300 steel marks each week, I have vids demonstrating all of this.
Yeah, there's a weird obsession with "flawless builds" in this game which I think stems from the Monster Hunter similarities/background. But stuff like that makes more sense in a game like Monster Hunter where the "endgame" as it were revolves mainly around speed running. What the average player (or redditor) fails to realize is that these speed runners they see on TH-cam with these glass cannon flawless builds will literally restart a fight against the same monster over and over and over again off camera until they get that one perfect speed run where everything aligns, all the stuns land perfectly, all the crits land perfectly, they dodge every attack etc. They watch the videos and think, "Wow, I want a build like that!" and copy it and then die over and over again during multiplayer hunts. Because what they don't see is the literally hundreds of failed attempts it took that speedrunner to get that one flawless run.
And like I alluded to earlier, it makes even LESS sense in a game like Dauntless because the game doesn't really revolve around "speed running" in the endgame in the same way Monster Hunter does. Those Monster Hunter speedrunners are chasing world records where seconds matter and they'll do 100+ runs to shave off 2 seconds. In Dauntless, no one really cares if it takes you 30 seconds longer to kill a monster because it's not a speed running game. It's a grinding game. And in that context, I believe players should optimize to play builds that feel comfortable (while still killing monsters reasonably fast of course) because at the end of the day, you're grinding over and over, so if you want to "optimize" you should do so in a way where the game feels fun and comfortable to play for long periods of time killing monsters over and over again instead of constantly stressing out trying not to get hit for over 15 seconds constantly. No one is putting a gun to our head and stop watch timing everything where if we don't play flawless, we'll bring shame to our families lol.
Exactly the problem, this is why the Trials people are so toxic. They will do 200+ runs to shave off two seconds each week to retain their position as a Champion, when literally nobody cares about them or their content LMAO.

@@Spriktor Sorry to say to all the hardcore trial tryhards, but absolutely no one cares about who's the best in Hard Trials in Dauntless. I know they have a board up showing everyone's names but seriously, as a scene, the type of game that Dauntless is with it's free to play casual background, 99% of the playerbase isn't even aware that Trials speedrunning is even a thing in this game and the 1% that are aware, 99% of those people don't care.
That's not me saying that the general casual audience member of Monster Hunter cares about speed running either. They don't. But the % is bigger. You go to the Monster Hunter reddit, TH-cam channels, etc and the discussion revolves around speed running. You CANNOT say the same thing about Dauntless. So in a meta sense what i said does make sense, even if it goes over some people's heads. 😛
In its current and for as long as the game has been out, Dauntless is a 'grinding' game. That's what you do. That's what we're all doing. We're grinding for all the gear, all the legendaries on all our weapons, all the cosmetics, unlocking the Slayers Path, unlocking all the Trials store items, etc. Monster Hunter definitely has grind in it, but aside from usually one aspect of the grind, whether it's decorations in World or talismans in Rise/Sunbreak, there isn't really the same level of grind. So that's why I say, in a meta sense, Dauntless is a grinding game, Monster Hunter is a "speed running" game if you broke it down to what you do at the very end game. That doesn't mean every MH player is trying to be a try hard speedrunner going for world records, but you play MH over and over again to improve your times. While you definitely do want to improve your times in Dauntless that happens naturally as just a by product of grinding the game. Like I said, no one, no one, absolutely NO ONE cares if you take longer to kill a monster in Dauntless, as long as you just kill the monster and get its parts for crafting gear.

are there no surge, +1 cell builds? new players wont have surged sets and +3 every cell
Getting +3 cells and Surging is easy just follow my island hopping guide. You can start as early as level 10. I also released a beginner guide with literally 0 cells called "How to start dauntless". Watch that to get the basics right.
Basically get to Level 10. Construct a basic armor set and then just island event hop on islands close to or under your level. Within about 2 to 3 days of doing that. You will have lots of cells and plenty of aethersparks to either buy or reforge your weapon for Surging.
@@RealAsianRobot checked those out and i cant agree on parasitic cells. beginners will struggle to utilize life steal window and some behemoths like riftstalker wont give ye much either. aegis+fortress+cascade+galvanize+skarn weapon+lantern+bastion though much more pricey did let me study a fight in much bigger comfort. aegis immunity also great safety net with how fast you build shields and feedback for when you mistime dodges. made a mistake going damage first and was more distracted by grass and not learning into muscle memory so to say. just sharing what worked for me as beginner and let me learn how to solo every behemoth so far no matter the power difference
@@Aiveq well if you're already using iceborne parasitic is just the supplement. Bastion builds are far more complex for beginners and honestly you're overdone on the shields.
You should actually try my builds before commenting. They are genuinely the superior and best version for all newbies. I mean you did say yours is more pricey lol.

@@RealAsianRobot i am not talking down your builds. just saying that for beginners predators/parasitic and such cells a bit beyond their skill to take advantage if they eat every second hit. you still gon lose more hp then you gain. your builds for mid to high skill players that can make use of it. if you cant even consistently interrupt, what use is 100% dmg? but if you have infinitely refilling shield, cant you practice interruptions till you get em down to consistency? once you down a fight without sweat is when your builds are best. not sure how else to explain it? there needs to be a build that makes it safe to learn while allowing for multiple mistakes

This is why I say you're talking without trying. Take for example the easy sword build 2.0. With iceborne you can take as many hits as you want and it's even encouraged with rage included.
The chain blades 2.0. Features BOTH parasitic and iceborne which is clearly stated in the video and explained as well.
Infinitely refilling shields are great, but they still count on you being able to hit your opponent. Lifesteal works the same way and with skarn's defiance, there are no problems?
If you had tried an easy build and played it properly, you should know all this? Hence why I'm questioning you, because it seems like you're saying things without trying anything and without watching and even understanding the videos for a full explanation. Which is problematic as it spreads misinformation.

Because they have no idea how it even works lol. I demonstrated the technique in a vid too :P but I guess the Reddit folks never passed on the word or shut down discussions of it since they're embarassed by anything I do.

Always this build is better or that, if you can play flawless u can min max them to hell
If you go for some deff in comb with solid dmg your builds are always on point.
And in the end if you cant dosge tempest becomes bad if you just wanna brain afk farm no dodge tanky builds are better
If you just wanna get raw numbers flawless builds with if i got 1 hit im dead are better but hard to execute to a lvl that they become as good as they used to be
Basically you have to choose a build that fits your playstyle lol.
However that is the reason why my channel has many variations because they are the most efficient version of every possible playstyle. This way if people want to play flawless, they can.
If they want to play relaxed, they can ;)
@@RealAsianRobot thats my point and thats why i cant understand that some ppl on reddit think it makes sense to say their build is somewhat better. For most of the time u make builds that rely somewhat on execution (predator and tempest) but u leave recover options or atleast an option to not get one shotted from everything and thats in my opinion most of the time harder then just look for dps or full tank build

If slayers are forced to play flawless and get one shot. They will get frustrated on the game and visit streamers for help etc. In the past this was used to get high viewership even on Dauntless streams.
If people don't need help they won't attend streams etc.
I chose a different pathway. I want to make sure that the people who attend my streams are fans, not people who need help (although many people come for help anyway). That's why I make sure that everything I post can be used by other slayers.
This caused the Dauntless Reddit and Official Discord to try and destroy me lol (not that they can) which is why they try to force everyone to be flawless now. However, they will only make themselves more hated and I plan to carry on until all of them quit the game, because people who deceive others don't deserve to live.
One of the most famous posters always gets 8k+ views on his vid in 24 hours, but I don't think 8k people even play dauntless within a day lol. So yeaaah, you can basically see its all fake.

But lets be real if you farm between 5-10 hrs your focus to dodge everything or avoid isnt on point so why would u choose to go flawless while farming sure there are enough people who can do it semi afk but if you start this game play for a week u wont be able to, thats why beginner builds help tanky to not get frustrated help to learn core mechanics and don’t bother people in escalations with your lvl 15 char with no build just cause u hear you need this legendary weapon to get started.
I mean i can see that there is a point u go flawless cause you can do it quite passive for the most time but if you are at this point u wont look for youtube builds or ask streamers stuff cause u know it anyway

Thanks for your support though 😁✌️. As for the others on reddit or the official discord. It's okay, they will be eliminated slowly ;). It's a game of endurance. The more they hurt for viewers and cash, the sooner they will leave.
All builds have their pros and cons, but 100% you want something that is consistent your builds got it down even if you are struggling a bit still does better.
