Is the web console HTML-based? Flash went EOL and my Access Point basically became unusable because Extreme Networks didn't come up with a solution in time, and this device has been EOL since 2016 and I've been debating buying one.
Been considering something like that myself. Any idea of that integrates into a PDU for power cycling ports? I have a Cyclades TS2000 that works with the AlperPath stuff.
I honestly have no idea, I'm a long way away from a PDU setup nice enough to get into that. Otherwise, my experience with the Avocents has been wonderful.
Yeah the Mac Pro is still the main server, I'm waiting till I get that conduit ran so I can have a nice link to the rack, instead of my Ethernet Powerline adapters.
@@jonsaavedra175 There is a different kind of module with a DB9 connector on it if I remember correctly, I don't remember the model number for it though.

very nice video
Can your boy get a link for the rack? I’m assembling components for my server and a rack is next on the list.
Blue Bandit unfortunately I can’t, I got it at a recycling center as opposed to buying it
really nice rack man im jealous, do you still use the mac pro as a server ?cant see why you would use mac pro when you have all that lol

Yeye makes sense powerline sucks in my experience with transfer speeds and that so i don’t blame you
Yeah especially with my server having 10GbE support
Adam Messmann yeah ouch
Good video. Whatever you do, please do not put your rack in the sprinkler room.....yikes! Water and servers don't mix. Thanks
Thank you, and yeah that's what I thought too, plus the furnace is in that room so it gets way too hot.
what is the link or parts number for those modules for the kvm and you need a module for each interface?
Yes, each interface needs one (one per server), and they are DSAVIQ-USB2 modules, fairly cheap on eBay.
@@AdamMessmann oh cool thanks, does that also include for console port for routers and switches?

hi . how can assign ip address for kvm switch ?
I set mine through the OSCAR interface, iirc it's under the Settings tab, strange considering there's a Networking tab.
