I'm never was a big fan of Drop B tuning for some reason, but Parkway knows how to utilize it melodically and chuggy and it just smacks you right in the face!!! Love your tone and your playing bro!!! Keep it up!! \m/

As a guitarist and an Australian, and being a PWD fan for a long time, I have no idea why it's taken me so long to realize how brilliant they all are, and in particular, Jeff Ling, with his epic riffing. No wonder they're headlining the biggest Euro metal festivals right now.
Everytime I watch one of these videos, I get super sad...We will never be able to experience the old parkway, with these amazing riffs and heartfelt songs...Im just happy I caught one of the last tours before Reverence and still saw a bit of that glory.
parkway has always been one of my fav bands regarding any kind of metal. their horizons album defined a big era and influence for me and my playing. they play with so much feel and synergy, even them keeping is basic with their muted open 0s can still sound so personal to them. it gives me a lot of inspiration for not overthinking what i do, but for making a nice outline for all the parts of a song to work together. i'm a big fan of very technical things too, yet i find comparing other talented individuals (jason becker, dimebag, matt heafy, tosin abasi, the list goes on) to them to be pointless when it's this personal. a group of friends playing in a basement with enough love for what they're doing is all it takes.
I never realized Parkway Drive had so many awesome riffs! My favorite is SleepWalker. I havent seen it yet in your videos yet, could you do top 10 Kataklysm riffs? Some of thier best riffs are from the In Shadows and Dust album and Serenity In Fire album.
FML this is so good. Puts into perspective how many ridiculous riffs they’ve churned out. But mate… your guitar playing is nuts. There are so many solid guitarists out there but my head was shaking pretty much throughout this vid. And that tone……. Unreal dude.
When I discovered PWD, it was like I had been driving a Pinto and someone suddenly gave me the keys to a Bugatti and said, "Go nuts." I was really into old In Flames, Fear Factory, Slipknot, etc. but, in my opinion, PWD is on a whole other level.
Amazing riffs from these guys, not to mention they are the kings of breakdowns. But seriously though nice playing, horizons was the first parkway song I learned and is still my fav track by them

still remember watching parkway play to less than 50 people in perth (5 hour drive south of perth) then go for a surf straight after. They have done amazing work getting to were they are now.
