Did we all forget how brutally Rachel dumped Aven? She, wrongfully, accused him of yelling at her, accused him of being dishonest about his feelings, and had a full meltdown. Then, he comes back to help her save face after she is hurt by the man she chose over him. Smh.
I’m honestly kind of shocked at how production treated Tino. Hell, even Jed wasn’t treated as bad and he had a whole other relationship during his whole time with Hannah. They’re honestly better off without each other. I don’t think Rachel was emotionally or mentally ready for this process, I think she needed more time to heal from her time on Clayton’s season. She was scrutinized heavily, but honestly some of it was warranted. Cancelling dates and sending great guys home, but then complaining that no one is here for her. Accusations of her character being questioned when she received any slight criticism. It comes with the territory of being the lead. Hopefully, everyone finds their happiness and learns for future relationships.
Absolutely correct 👍🏼precisely what I was thinking about,Gabby was ok but Rachel wasn’t ready for the show after Clayton thing happened,I am not sure she would be with Aven too.Sending good guys than saying nobody is there for her was the joke actually 😄from the face and her behaviour can be seen that she has lot of anger issue btw.

Love keeps no record of wrongs. When he brought out that notebook I wanted to throw up. Just like when he kept calling a kiss “a little thing.” Get out of here. I can’t believe it. Good for her that they broke up.
I’m not defending Tino’s cheating. But I think he kept a notebook of things she said because from the editing, it looks like Rachel denies things that she said or misconstrues what the other person said. Like how she said that Zach questioned her character from him saying that she acted different when it was just them versus in front of the camera. Clearly her and Tino were not communicating well and honestly they are better off without each other.
I could see him writing things down to help stay calm.... but bringing out all her wrongs while downplaying his own (worse onces) is just such asshole behavior. These two were doomed, how embarrassing to have it on national TV!
Honestly I'm team Tino, the way he was treated in the finale was honestly evil. I understand Rachel being upset about him kissing someone, but to absolutely humiliate him in front of millions of people was not deserved. Clearly their relationship had TERRIBLE communication on both sides and seeing Rachel not even give Tino a chance to get a word in without yelling at him at the finale felt like a big red flag. She clearly had no intentions of ever forgiving him so to continually make him apologize and try to make amends just so she could belittle him was disgusting to watch. Rachel being upset is valid, but her talking to Tino like that really rubbed me the wrong way
Exactly...I was like yes...everyone can see that Tino messed up. But Rachel was being so dramatic too. If Tino didn't say things how SHE wanted him to say it...and apologize the way SHE wanted him to apologize then she didn't want to hear it. Tino went out bad bad...smh
While Tino isn't my favorite, I don't like how Rachel or Production handled this at all. Tino seemed under the impression that he was there to try to reconcile things. Even asking Rachel why he was there and trying to talk about other aspects of their relationship. But it was clear that Rachel didn't have any intention of working things out or listening. It was very set up feeling. Tino handled it horribly and just seemed to be talking out of his butt. However, it was clear they had lots of issues before this. I also didn't appreciate how Rachel didn't let Tino have a moment to calm down. He really seemed to be panicking (understandably as the entire nation was about to find out he is a cheater), and bad guy or not, anxiety attacks are no joke and shouldn't be used for entertainment. There was also no reason to humiliate him by having Aven come out. That could have been a separate thing. I watch the bachelor for the romance and petty drama, not to see people be beaten when down.
Yes he did seem to almost have a panick attack maybe that’s why his shirt was undone outside ? He was sweating profusely and I agree although I don’t stand by cheating I couldn’t help but to feel more sorry for Tino than Rachel!
@@BA-qn7xj while in a normal situation, I might agree, the bachelor isn’t a normal situation. For almost the entirety of their relationship Tino had to watch while Rachel “cheated” on him and was expected to be totally okay with it. She got to kiss other men in order to affirm their relationship. Tino was expected to give his heart to her without knowing if she would reciprocate. Now back in the real world, Tino has choices again. There is no longer a power imbalance. So while him saying that he knew he loved her as soon as he cheated sounds horrifying, it was essentially the same thing Rachel was doing every time she needed “clarity” with another man. I mean heck, Tino had to watch Rachel tell Aven that she thought he was the one and was only sending him home because he refused to propose.
a lot of people are annoyed with rachel but to be honest to sit and try to have a conversation with a man and he still lies to her face AND he tries to deflect the blame off of while masking it with apologies. Then, he goes to do the same thing WHILE THERES A LIVE AUDIENCE. I would be just as pissed off as she was.
Agree. People are also not sympathizing with her bc society doesn’t like a strong woman who can stand on her own. She probably has done her share of crying over him & now she’s over that phase and is just mad at him. Had she been crying on the couch she would’ve gotten more sympathy. It’s ridiculous.

@@audrey5592 No one in a relationship should be cheating. No question. And Rachel’s anger and actions are 100% justified. But I do still struggle to sympathize with her simply because of how she treated Zach and Aven. I wasn’t rooting for her and Tino. So I don’t really feel bad that they broke up. Sucks that it was because he cheated, though. But I definitely don’t feel this way because Rachel was a strong woman 🙄. She’s a very insecure person. As was Tino.
i felt like tino was really manipulative trying to downplay the cheating by saying it's a "small thing." i hope rachel learned from this experience that maybe an engagement at the right time with the right person is better than settling with someone that had every red flag possible, but would propose. if her and aven work out, maybe he ends up being the right person and she gets the proposal she wants, but at the right time!
Gabby was just trying to be a good supportive friend and only had the information Rachel provided. Gabby would have handled Tino very differently had roles been reversed
This break up was a lot, so much talking over each other. He said, she said. Who knows what the truth will be. I just want to be as chill as gabby is all the time lol. See everyone on Paradise.
This wasn’t about a kiss. Tino is a controlling, overly emotional guy. They would have been a terrible extremely volatile pair. I do wonder if it had to do with their physical relationship. Something about not sleeping together on the happy couple visit. Something is wrong there. Lol
I’m starting to think the deeply personal stuff had to do with his family somehow. Maybe them not being supportive or making comments about Rachel as the show premiered. For that being such a big storyline previously, the show was radio silent on the subject during the finale.
It's ironic how people blast the Bachelors and love the Bachelorettes when the last two Bachelors have had more success with their picks than the last two and now three bachelorettes. It's Seems Clayton and Matt did well afterall
I actually love Rachel. But honestly, Gabby should have been the only lead. She would have been great, think Hannah Brown level confrontations, she would have had more time to get to know all men, etc. I blame production.

I’m still laughing at how Tino said “once I kiss d the girl, I knew I belong to you.” Tino, buddy. Time to be single and love your independence, you don’t belong to anyone. You need time to find yourself. Don’t date till you realize oniy YOU BELONG TO YOURSELF. And Rachel, also need helps too. But, Tino All in all as humans as these mistakes are Tino is trying his HARDEST and the guy is willing to do therapy. Dude, the best thing you can get someone is someone who want to do self work. Rachel reminds me of an ex friend I slowly ghosted who hates me because for the life of god, Rachel only cares about what RACHEL THINKS AND FEELS. Her parents fucked Rachel over and I feel sorry for Rachel.
The whole thing with Zach and the names is because Jesse Palmer called out the wrong name one rose ceremony of his when he was the Bachelor. Also, I’ve said this before but I cannot wait for your grades this season. They are going to be brutal!!!
Yes I knew it was a reference to Jessie’s mistake! I thought I was the only one who noticed. I don’t think Zach felt that way though, you could tell he was mortified.
I hate the fact that the show no longer gives a damn about constructing a romantic narrative and getting us stoked to see who the lead will choose and now every season finale being a dumpster fire. We definitely need to see a back-to-basics season in terms of structure: every date having their day and night portion shown, every episode ending in a rose ceremony unless there's a really strong reason for otherwise, editing a few contestants so we can root for them and not go "Oh, this one made it to hometowns?". Except for Michelle's seasons and the Tayshia portion of the Bachelorette 16 season, all seasons since Pilot Pete have been structurally all over the place.
Second this 100%. They also need to listen to who the audience actually wants as leads and stop casting very similar looking white men for every bachelor season (except Matt James, of course). I stuck with the show through Arie, Clayton, etc. but I think next season I’ll save myself some disappointment and just watch Fantake instead.
You can blame all of that on the show's producer's who are, OBVIOUSLY, lacking in creative ideas and imaginations. This show has a simple recipe to it, which made The Bachelor & The Bachelorette so successful. Now the producer's think turning it into a soap opera will be more enticing. Whomever "They" are, have ruined this show.

Me too and cheering also that the season was done and over with and NO more of Rachel R. Gabby was more likeable vs. Rachel. Sadly, both lost their respective fiancés.
It was pretty obvious from the start that Gabby was already engaged. She was beaming with happiness and glowing. Whereas Rachel looked visibly upset from the start.
Unless the two of you in a relationship actually sit down and say "it's ok for us to kiss other people", it's not ok to go kiss other people. Also if you're at the point where you feel the need to take a break, just "break" up, you're already headed for disaster otherwise.
Agree, the moment one says 'take a break' or 'I need space' or 'Lets just date'...Game Over! ...In the real world, those one liners mean I'm going keep looking! and my opinion is Rachel was going do just that....keep looking.

Honestly when Aven came out I said to myself "I'm I watching Jerry Springer?" like this was too much for me I thought I was being pranked. Also am I the only one that laughed out loud when Rachel told Tino he's the only one left and Tino happily says "This is going nowhere" as in we will be together forever but ironically ends up meaning it in the literal sense😂😂
As soon as she said that tino was the only one left, his face literally changed...that was the moment he realized that he no longer had to compete to win her affection and he was already bored. I knew he was the wrong choice early on, but I knew early on...she'd fall. She simple minded for no reason. I just can't smh

Definitely not! I doubt anyone goes on for love, it’s just a bonus if it happens. Especially when they apply without knowing who the bachelor is. Case in point, Rachael Kirkconnells racist ass going on for clout not knowing the bachelor was black & then accidentally falling in love.

Omg the thing with Zach was SO awkward, I could barely watch it, I kept skipping it. He was like on the verge of a full on panic attack when he was put on the spot, I felt so bad for him
I don’t blame him at all for seeking out someone who actually cares about him and listens to him as opposed to cutting him off and not wanting to be with him. She made her bed. We don’t know why but she said it wasn’t about him
Instead of cutting him off and making light of his point she could have accepted that her actions hurt him and she could have dealt with things in a way that made him feel that she cared about him
@@duckypam he was a jerk the whole season and all she was saying was if he wanted to bring up these random things he needed to include context. That’s not out of line for Rachel. I think she was a little immature this season but I’d have been way harder on anyone who cheated and Tino sucked the whole season. He constantly threw fits if he didn’t get what he wanted and didn’t want to admit that his parents were total jerks to Rachel the whole time.
At some point, either in the opening or closing credits of Erich's hometown visit, they did make a note of his passing, and dedicated the episode to him. For the family that one time was probably enough.
I think it was done out of respect. It's too raw this soon. They dedicated home town episode to him. Erich may have asked them not to as well. Losing your Dad is a very hard thing even years later.
According to reality Steve. Racheal told tino she didn’t want to be engaged anymore. She wanted to go back to just dating him. Tino was understandably upset about this because he was excited about being engaged. So they were having a hard time. Racheal was also having a hard time grieving the other relationships. That’s why she was going to counseling. That’s what reality said.
I think the cuttting and editing of the break up convo with Rachel and Tino made it intentionally confusing. Tino is def the AH in this situation, but also I think having Aven coming out with Tino still on the couch was a dick move from production. Like they could’ve had Tino walk backstage and then brought Aven out and I would’ve been 100% fine with it.
pay attention - these media are here to manipulate our truths - they definitely could have done that, but didn't - that means SHE is the villain and they want us to perceive him to be the villain. there is something they're not telling us about her, why she needs therapy and why he looked doom and gloom when she told him that he was the only one there he bought a book of notes (truths) to share her texts when she dumped him because she was never "all in it for him", but made him be the bad guy and not here Zach called it, which is why they made him the next boring-ass bachelor gonna need a lot of popcorn and wine for that season!
I dont like how they made America choose the first rose and had it all done in front of live audience. Defeats the purpose of finding the right one yourself and also so embarrassing and intimidating
Zach just might make a good bachelor. He doesn’t come across as a gaslighter or clout chaser. He seems like he has enough sense to know NOT to do the whole blackface thing. I’m willing to give him a chance!
I find Bachelor Fantake more entertaining than the show - film clips make me laugh out loud - and thanks for a great recap cause I found much of the finale too painful to watch!
Did anyone else notice that they (production) sorta spoiled not only that Gabby would be engaged but also that Zach would be the next bachelor? When Gabby was talking with Rachel you could clearly see a ring on her finger and they hadn’t shown Erich propose to her yet. And at the very beginning of the show someone in the audience had a sign that said Zachelor Nation…
They humiliated Rachel too all season long. Just the fact she had to be compared to Gabby all season chipped at her insecurity. The producers don't care about anyone's mental health until it is too late.
It's a prime example of "having their cake and eating it too." They get to have the drama, but then cover up any bad PR by saying little bits here and there that make it look like the show cares about mental health issues or racial issues, etc.
Agreed. I wouldn’t have been shocked if Rachel K. had harmed herself, or worse. Ditto with other people production screws over. They won’t stop….until someone harms or kills themselves. They’ve been lucky that the contestants have been strong enough to survive being draaaggggeeeeddd by Production, then Bachelor Nation.

idk, Rachel is phoney as Zach eluded to... she was wearing a big red flag appropriately. Tino likely knew he would be the fall guy no matter what he said, obviously Rachel went to counseling at his request and did not want this aired. He kissed someone... not the worst thing that has taken place. I believe him, that she said she was taking the engagement ring off- which is likely while he brought that notebook so he could have everything in front of him.
What an absolute train wreck. The show spoiled its own ending right out of the gate, and they’re so hellbent on being “the most dramatic ending ever” that they forced these two people to fight and break up on camera. It was made clear that they were not going to divulge crucial information (of which I think would have made them BOTH look horrible) so they should have let them break up off camera, and show up at ATFR in a sit down with Jesse to make a joint statement. But because this show is terrible, they ended up making Tino look a little sympathetic even though he cheated on her. Rachel, girl, listen to me - there is no justification for him to cheat even if you’re in a bad place. No one denies that. But when you demand that he explain why he did it, his answers are going to include how he felt at the time. It’s going to sound like excuses. It is. “Because we were in a bad place/the things you said were hurtful, I made a terrible choice to kiss someone instead of just ending the relationship. It doesn’t make what I did right. But you asked me why I did what I did, and that’s the reason.” So they talk over each other, they both can’t agree what was actually said, and outside, Tino looks like a caged dog - clearly, they brought him back to crucify him. And it’s clear that they wanted to protect their lead as well. (Personally, I don’t think she came off looking great either, and the vagueness of the entire thing reminded me of her breakup with Zach. Her refusal to let Tino, as big of an asshat as he is, finish a sentence because it wasn’t what she wanted to hear reminded me of her breakup with Aven.) With all of that in mind, I think Tino was absolutely valid in asking what she wanted from the conversation. It was obvious she didn’t want reconciliation, she wanted blood. And I understand that. But him basically begging and crying outside to have her break up with him and let him go, and then having Aven come out while he’s still on the couch? For those wondering why people feel sympathy towards Tino, they can blame production. Let these people keep their dignity for crying out loud.
Exactly. I know I am in the minority but I am a bit team Tino. Not because he cheated (inexusable) but because I feel there is more to the story and the whole thing was orchestrated for Rachel to save face.
Zach, the most straight edge, cheesy, wholesome guy ever, and they throw all the crazy wild ones at him 😂 It’s kind of messed up, but also they know exactly what they’re doing. I’m sure they’ll have some more compatible, wholesome ones in there once the show starts.

I 100% agree with your taking on cheating and boundaries and that it might be a bigger deal for some than others. I hate seeing people saying that she’s “making too big of a deal about a small thing” when it isn’t up to them to decide that. Rachel has done a lot wrong in this season but her leaving him for a betrayal of trust is not one of them, especially when they already had issues before that. It bothers me so much when people are saying she must of not loved him to “leave so easily”. Like come on guys. What is wrong with you? Just because that’s how you would feel doesn’t mean you can force that onto others. So I appreciated you commenting on this!
I agree to a certain extend. Cheating is wrong. Just wrong. But there were more to the story to it that we don’t know. The way producers treated him and leaving him while she left with Aven was heartless. There was no compassion from Rachel at all. If you seriously loved someone even if they were shitty to you, you still show compassion. For example. Matt with Rachel K. Therefore I wonder if she decided to go with tino because wanted a ring and engagement and not him 🤷🏻♀️

You know, because the guy that gave her the ring was full of it, lied, cheated, and tried to manipulate her. But sure. Somehow it seems like there’s always more to explain or justify when a man is in the wrong with this franchise. There is no explaining or justifying it. He was wrong. What he did was a deal breaker for her. She left him. End of story. There is no turning it into but how can we make it the woman’s fault again.
I'm fairly certain too that it wasn't just the kiss, it's as she said, she had to convince him to tell her about it, and then he said ALL the wrong things during the apology. Taking out a notebook on TV and airing out personal info to explain why he cheated??? Then saying he was just thinking of her when he chose to try to hide it? I've been in open relationships where if he did what he did we'd be over lmao.
It’s not only what he did, it’s how he talked about it. It’s something a couple could move on from, but he was so unwilling to disclose or admit guilt that it feels like he has done or would easily do more than just kiss someone. I don’t trust him
Rachel seemed like she wanted the story told and she wanted Tino under the bus. She kept accusing him of telling his side of the story without context, but when he tried to give context, she cut him off and wouldn’t let him say what he wanted. If it was something that painted her in a good light- we can be sure she would want it out there for all of us to know. What he did was absolutely wrong. There are no excuses. He is human and deserves alittle grace. Rachel got so much undeserved support for her temper tantrum, I’m surprised he suffered through it as long as he did. They are both wrong. They both handled this badly. Neither of them is ready for any aspect of this. It’s a good thing it happened now before they both wasted time and effort on something doomed from the start.
I totally agree with this comment. They both had time to think how to address it at the ATFR and she didn't. They both had their part on this relationship failing (at least from her hinting towards something she didn't want to discuss openly).
The way tino was treated was sickening. They attacked his mental health and publicly humiliated him for ratings. I couldn’t watch the rest of the finale. He DID NOT DESERVE THAT!
What Tino did was WRONG. Period However, as with Aven also, Rachel had a narrative in her head. She could not listen to what either guy was saying to her regarding the particular situation because it did not fit what was going on in her mind. She could not get past the difference between what Aven told her and what Aven told her family, so she did not hear what Aven was trying so hard to say to her. At one point on the house couch Tino said, "Is there any way this works out?" The answer of course was, "No," because the narrative in Rachel's mind as she told us was that he could not even apologize, and yet I strongly suspect that if someone went back through those 3 hours and counted, Tino apologized maybe 10 times in one form or another. I have been married 38 years. There have been some bodacious, humdinger squabbles, but the way Rachel does it is NOT the way you sustain a relationship. You throw it out there. You hash it out, and it may not be lovely. Sometimes you are right. Sometimes the other person is right, but it does not go on and on and on and on, etc. Some resolution has to be made, and you move on. Until our Babygirl learns something about how to verbally squabble, she is never going to have anybody.
Finally someone sees what I see with Rachel. There is no compromise with her. Tino was wrong but there was nothing he could do or say at that point. I feel like she causes the conversations to go in circles. Cause even when he was on stage, now agreeing with her, it still wasn't good enough. I feel like Rachel just wanted to blast him public over and over again.
WOW. Love this channel but VEHEMENTLY disagree. I think that we can all agree that what Tino did was 100% wrong and that Rachel was right to break up with him. He was a bit frenzied, leaving the room repeatedly, and I was really with Rachel for awhile. I mean, if the dude can’t handle a rough patch without kissing someone else, he’s more than likely going to end up in bed with someone when things get more difficult, or even become a serial cheater. The infidelity is unacceptable. THAT SAID, I ended last night’s episode feeling awful for Tino and COMPLETELY OVER RACHEL. The way he was treated by her on ATFR was maddening. She kept asking him to explain, and accused him of providing no context. So he tried over and over again to contextualize, and EVERY SINGLE TIME the context included a reference to her that wasn’t 100% positive, she shot him down. He said that what he did was horrible and that he was deeply sorry for hurting her, and then he explained that some of her actions and words had hurt him. But NO - you are NOT allowed to say that Rachel did ANYTHING wrong or anything to hurt Tino. That is a cardinal sin. Tino wasn’t making excuses. She asked for an explanation, and the explanation involved his feelings of hurt at some of what had been directed at him by her. Even though she had said earlier in the episode that she was dealing with her own problems ASIDE from their relationship, that they may have caused her to not be as supportive of him as she could be, and that she went to therapy to deal with her issues - she still wasn’t willing to see that perhaps those issues had led her to behave in ways that caused Tino pain and pushed him away. The slightest mention of any of her words or actions being hurtful was met with “You’re putting this on MEEEEEEE????” Oh my god, grow up. Do you want the explanation? If not, that’s fine. But then stop asking for it and refusing to listen. Do you want to understand him? Or do want him to be solely the sinner and you to be solely the saint? I COMPLETELY understand her hurt and her anger. Completely. Tino was wrong, and he definitely should NOT have said that he shouldn’t have told her. NOT KOOL. I could see Tino’s frustration as he struggled to explain his hurt while being aware of the cameras - which he seemed to be shocked to see in the safe house - and aware as well as of the things that he knew Rachel would view as a betrayal if he said out loud. But he admitted that he said he shouldn’t have told her because he was afraid that his telling her would mean losing her, which is a very human, vulnerable way to feel. Tino, don’t kiss other people if you do want to lose your fiance. But also, Rachel, don’t bring him on stage pretending that you want an explanation - as if it could possibly change something - when all you seem to want to do is berate him publicly. It was SO frustrating watching him try SO MANY TIMES to explain why he did what he did, only to have her shut him up ANY TIME he presented her in a less-than-flattering light for even a nanosecond. It was clear that she didn’t want the audience to hear certain things, but kept demanding context that could not be provided without the sharing of those things. I was glad when he asked her what she wanted out of this conversation, because I had no idea. She invited him over because she wanted an explanation, but was willing to listen only to an explanation that rendered her completely innocent. I was also disgusted with how the entire AFTR audience seemingly sided with her immediately with apparently no nuanced insight whatsoever. She was right to be angry at the cheating. But her treatment of Tino as he tried to do what she requested - explain himself - was horrendous. If you don’t want him because he cheated, that’s beyond justified. But don’t say you want to talk to him only to kick him repeatedly when he tries to speak his piece and his perspective. I went into this season thinking that Rachel was perhaps not quite mature enough for this process, but liking her personality and believing that she seemed like a very sweet woman. I feel a bit differently now. I’m not suggesting that there aren’t wonderful things about her - I have no doubt that there are. But, to be frank, she kind of scares me. Two weeks ago, she gaslighted Zach by suddenly trying to sow doubt in mind about whether he was too young to get married - what??? - completely destabilizing him after saying she was falling in love with him. Last week, she accused Aven of yelling at her when he literally did NOTHING OF THE SORT, which was a red flag of GIANT proportions. That, to me, is someone who claim she was a victim of verbal abuse when it hasn't happened. This week, she sat there with a straight face and said that Tino had never said sorry when we literally saw him say it to her face MULTIPLE TIMES ON SCREEN. Then, when Jesse asked her if she and Tino had communicated at all since their conversation, she had to admit that he'd written her a letter apologizing. So that's ANOTHER demonstration of contrition and she's STILL claiming that he isn't sorry?? What the hell. I have really tried to like Rachel throughout the season - and at some moments really have - but what I'm seeing more and more is someone whose recollection of a story can't be depended upon as true. I mean, imagine if she'd come to you crying saying that Aven yelled at her -- and then you actually see the footage of him doing nothing of the kind. Or imagine her saying to you "He cheated on me and he's not even sorry and he keeps putting it ALL ON MEEEE!" -- and then you watched the footage and see Tino apologizing repeatedly and saying "This is not on you Rachel, I own this." She freaks me out with the ease which with she bends the truth, even on national television. How much would she bend it with no cameras?? I think that Tino needs to understand that cheating is not how you deal with hurt. But Rachel needs to do an enormous amount of self-reflection. If I were Aven, I’d think long and hard about pursuing something with her. I know that there is a lot of mutual fondness there. But there have been multiple moments this season where she has tried to portray herself as the aggrieved, with zero thought as to how her actions may have played a role in her own negative outcomes. I keep having to remind myself that she is only 26, and I hope that the next several years bring growth and hindsight that allows her to ponder how she might have handled this more maturely.
This is exactly my thoughts, surprised bachelor fantake was so biased, he usually is for the girls, but not to this extent. Maybe he will elaborate more when he grades the season. I liked Rachel so much last season, but this season, the episode on gabbys date when she cried that nobody looked at her, me and the wife instantly knew she was crazy. The gaslighting, the yelling part, the always the victim mentality, the me me me. She just isn't ready but maybe the producers knew that and made her the bachelorette with gabby cause they knew this would get messy. I'm kinda worried for Zach, because he seems like a genuine guy, and i think they might play to his awkward persona and girls rejecting him approach(as we already saw with them setting him up by remembering their names, embarrassing him). I hope i'm wrong and he just nails it. These producers were filthy this season lol.

And yeah, Rachel falling apart because the guys were more into watching their friends whom they hadn't seen in a while in a boxing ring than they were into making googly eyes at her was bizarre -- considering it was GABBY'S GROUP DATE!!! They literally weren't even there to be with you in that moment! But the producers read her insecurity early and LOVED exploiting it.

After watching this, it's crazy to me how many people in the chat/comments of the livestream were coming away with the opinion that "Tino dodged a bullet" and "Tino was soooo apologetic" etc etc. I don't particularly love Rachel but like..... wtf
Half the comments are just “welp, I get him. Rachel is such a high maintenance b*tch”. As if this dude didn’t cheat on her after all the sh*t she had to get through with his family. He’s been a huge red flag all season, but because of how they edited Rachel to get the team R & team G, now Rachel is the bad guy in the situation 🙄
I felt that way at first, but after watching it back a few times I see how poorly he handled it. Rachel had every right to be angry. I think how she argues just annoys me.
I honestly didn't think it was that dramatic because the show spoiled itself with its "previews". Then I couldn't understand people were shocked, even though Jesse talked about Tino's "indiscretions" in the very opening of the show. Also, wth with the audience clapping at the proposal when clearly all of the above has been established + Rachel's face last week and this week during the live broadcast! Previews can be fun, but I couldn't believe we could easily tell that Hayden and Logan were leaving the show amidst drama, and worse, that Nate and Johnny would not make it. Finally, even without watching BF you could tell Rachel and Tino were final pick, but would somehow implode. By the time we finally watch the 136 hour long finale stretched over 2 years, it was boring and painful.
The Aven Rachel moment was so dumb and felt like they were trying to give Rachel a consolation prize in Aven instead of just letting her be single and happy. And honestly really cruel to Tino. Like yeah dude fucked up but at least let him get off the stage. Bad call on production's part.
The difference of true love between Gabby & Erich and Rachel & Tino is so obvious! The body language, genuine eye contact and emotions were vastly different. R&T were just going through the motions and doing it for the show. G&E have a real connection and one we haven’t seen in such a long time (Michelle & Nayte came close but we all know how that turned out). I truly hope G&E can make a real go of it and last the distance. Thank god that’s over, it’s exhausting. I actually wish there were a couple of weeks gap between this and BIP - girl needs a breather!
Seriously the ONLY good thing about this season was Gabby. She’s great and very mature, as well as funny with a beautiful soul. I hope she is happy, whether that is with her final pick or not.
I don't know if all Tino did was make out with some other woman. From the jump, I wasn't a fan of his. But what's clear is that Rachel had no intentions of forgiving him, and wanted to talk in person just to humiliate him on TV. (Then, the fool let it happen to him again, Live). Just like with Aven, when he was trying to explain how much he cares of Rachel, and wants to be with her but doesn't want to get engaged yet, Rachel hears what she wants to hear, and nothing else.
Rachel is a spoiled brat. She ripped Clayton a new one, yet she did almost the exact same thing with Aven and Tino. She knew all along how old Zach was but after she kept him there until the final three and fantasy suites she kept insisting he wasn't old enough to be ready for an engagement. Zach said it was like Rachel was putting on a front. That was how she behaved with each of the guys. She wanted to always be portrayed in a good light even if she was wrong and it meant portraying them badly. Aven said he was ready to "be" engaged, and Rachel gaslighted him when he tried to explain himself. She wanted him to commit to a proposal even though she would not/could not commit to accepting his proposal. And then she said it was Tino all along. So she wanted Aven to propose just so she could turn him down? She also gaslighted Tino. He was definitely wrong with what he did and neither his explanation nor his apology were acceptable. And kissing somebody isn't a tiny matter if you are engaged. However, if Rachel didn't want to work it out she should have broken up with him. Instead, all she wanted to do was rake him over the coals in front of the camera and get him to say he wanted to work it out so she could take the "high road" and break up with him. Rachel was not mature enough to be the bachelorette. Rachel wanted all of the guys to profess undying love for her even though she could not/would not return the feelings. Whenever she felt like they didn't pay enough attention to her she cried and whined like an entitled brat. I can't believe that Aven is still interested in her after how she behaved towards him and now that he knows that even when she was pushing him to commit to a proposal that she said she was in love with Tino.
Tino was wrong for not just taking the L and Rachel was childish for only accepting the answers she wanted to hear. She only wanted to regain her pride and Tino only wanted to save face. No one owes you closure, they should have just split off and left it at that

Tino cheating was absolutely and wholeheartedly wrong. It was odd though... I found myself more annoyed by Rachel than by Tino last night. She seemed to be gaslighting him at the live ATFR. She is not a good communicator and doesn't know how to settle arguments. It came across like Tino was the calm adult in the scenario and Rachel was a toddler stomping her feet. And that thing with Aven... that was just terrible. So awkward and planned. Tino literally asked Jesse quietly if he could just leave. It was HORRIBLE.
I actually agree here although I’m so against cheating but for some reason I felt for Tino more!! Rachel did not go about it the right way and I just could not empathise with her it’s hard to explain but you get it as I completely agree you explained so well!
Obviously Tino kissed someone and is in the wrong, but the way Rachel acted after the fact proved why I didn't like her this whole season. Tino sucks, but so does Rachel
When production proposed this idea to Aven, he should have hung up. He saw how immature she is, why come back unless it was for the screen time but there is BIP for that.
It does confuse me how people see Rachel as the bad guy. Tino came in so defensive and told her it was a 'tiny thing' and refused to give details. He started the tone of that conversation, Rachel just had to finish it. I feel like he's been around people who forgive cheaters his whole life and didn't think it was 'that bad'. I do feel like the show went too far with Aven coming out, but I would have gotten so mad if someone who cheated on me, came in on the offensive and trying to make me look bad.
A kiss isn't sex but this happened a short time after being engaged (3 months? max?) and if a kiss isn't a big deal then, maybe a 3 or 4 month affair wouldn't be a big deal to him after 10 years of marriage. My initial thought was it was drunken flirting but then I started thinking about the timing and his response and wondering why he put himself in that situation...

Rachel had every right to ask for an apology and for answers. But tino apologised multiple times and gave context. Rachel just continued to talk over him, and demand more when he gave her what she asked for. It seemed like she wasn’t interested in ever getting an apology or context, she just wanted to crucify him on national television. It was hard to watch

I’m not taking sides, but I’m kind of scared of Rachel’s intensity. I feel like her future husband is gonna get in trouble all the time. Like she’ll tell her husband to let her sleep in the next morning because she’s tired. He’ll say “okay” and then the next morning quietly gets up. As he’s bringing her breakfast in bed she’ll be like “how dare you not wake me up when you got up”. And he’ll be like “but you told me you wanted to sleep”. And she’ll be like “are you saying I’m grumpy and need more sleep? Are you saying I can’t cook breakfast? Why are you saying I’m a bad cook?”. He’ll be like “I’m not saying that. I just listened to what you said last night”. She’ll be like “why are you yelling? why are you turning this on me? This is your problem. You’re the one who got up without me”. Hopefully I’m wrong lol

With what Zach said it all adds up , he seen straight through her and dodged a bullet! We need her answers, why didn’t she want a certain thing talked about? Why did she have a fit about being engaged then suddenly wanted to just date. What? Nothing excuses cheating. Nothing. Tino acknowledged that they were not on a break or broken up at any point and that they never even broke off the engagement. Also, Tino was the one that initially talked about going back to dating, and Rachel’s response was that she didn’t want to wear the ring at the live taping if Tino wanted them to go back to dating. He repeatedly lied to her, gaslit her, and tried to manipulate her. People have already sleuthed out on Instagram that Tino was talking with this girl he cheated with the moment he got back from filming making comments that absolutely are not ok to make while engaged. Just a thought, but that’s probably why she didn’t want to sleep with him after finding out. Then it turns out he deliberately messaged this girl to meet up with her at a bar while pretending like it was some chance encounter? And they left together? But “only kissing” happened? Yeah, no. Takes a really…shall we say, “out there” person to blame all of that on Rachel and pretend any of it is her fault. I’m getting really tired of seeing such internalized misogyny from the people in this franchise. She’s getting hate when she didn’t do anything wrong, but you’re all ok with forgiving Tino for lying, cheating, and trying to manipulate her? No. Not ok. Never ok.
I wasn't surprised by this outcome. Rachel comes across as high maintenance and loaded with emotional baggage, while Tino seems like the classic narcissist. I'm not holding out a lot of hope for Gabby either, but I'm rooting for them just because I like her. Disappointed with Zack as Bach. Aven would have been a much better choice.
I don’t know why but I left this entire episode feeling icky about Rachel when Tino is the one in the wrong… I’m sure it has to do with how she handled Zach’s decision to leave saying something like he took it into his own hands and also pushing Aven aside for not wanting to propose as well. If I were Tino watching that back I would be like get me outta here. Cheating is not the answer but Rachel is seemingly a lot of work to be with. Idk she just came off icky.

I’m honestly kind of shocked at how production treated Tino. Hell, even Jed wasn’t treated as bad and he had a whole other relationship during his whole time with Hannah. They’re honestly better off without each other.
I don’t think Rachel was emotionally or mentally ready for this process, I think she needed more time to heal from her time on Clayton’s season. She was scrutinized heavily, but honestly some of it was warranted. Cancelling dates and sending great guys home, but then complaining that no one is here for her. Accusations of her character being questioned when she received any slight criticism. It comes with the territory of being the lead. Hopefully, everyone finds their happiness and learns for future relationships.

But I think he kept a notebook of things she said because from the editing, it looks like Rachel denies things that she said or misconstrues what the other person said. Like how she said that Zach questioned her character from him saying that she acted different when it was just them versus in front of the camera. Honestly I'm team Tino, the way he was treated in the finale was honestly evil. I understand Rachel being upset about him kissing someone, but to absolutely humiliate him in front of millions of people was not deserved. Clearly their relationship had TERRIBLE communication on both sides and seeing Rachel not even give Tino a chance to get a word in without yelling at him at the finale felt like a big red flag. While Tino isn't my favorite, I don't like how Rachel or Production handled this at all. Tino seemed under the impression that he was there to try to reconcile things. Even asking Rachel why he was there and trying to talk about other aspects of their relationship. But it was clear that Rachel didn't have any intention of working things out or listening. It was very set up feeling. Tino handled it horribly and just seemed to be talking out of his butt. However, it was clear they had lots of issues before this. I also didn't appreciate how Rachel didn't let Tino have a moment to calm down. He really seemed to be panicking (understandably as the entire nation was about to find out he is a cheater), and bad guy or not, anxiety attacks are no joke and shouldn't be used for entertainment. There was also no reason to humiliate him by having Aven come out. That could have been a separate thing. I watch the bachelor for the romance and petty drama, not to see people be beaten when down.

For almost the entirety of their relationship Tino had to watch while Rachel “cheated” on him and was expected to be totally okay with it. She got to kiss other men in order to affirm their relationship. Tino was expected to give his heart to her without knowing if she would reciprocate. Now back in the real world, Tino has choices again. There is no longer a power imbalance. So while him saying that he knew he loved her as soon as he cheated sounds horrifying, it was essentially the same thing Rachel was doing every time she needed “clarity” with another man. I mean heck, Tino had to watch Rachel tell Aven that she thought he was the one and was only sending him home because he refused to propose.

i felt like tino was really manipulative trying to downplay the cheating by saying it's a "small thing." i hope rachel learned from this experience that maybe an engagement at the right time with the right person is better than settling with someone that had every red flag possible, but would propose. if her and aven work out, maybe he ends up being the right person and she gets the proposal she wants, but at the right time!

I’m starting to think the deeply personal stuff had to do with his family somehow. Maybe them not being supportive or making comments about Rachel as the show premiered. For that being such a big storyline previously, the show was radio silent on the subject during the finale.

Rachel reminds me of an ex friend I slowly ghosted who hates me because for the life of god, Rachel only cares about what RACHEL THINKS AND FEELS. Her parents fucked Rachel over and I feel sorry for Rachel.

We definitely need to see a back-to-basics season in terms of structure: every date having their day and night portion shown, every episode ending in a rose ceremony unless there's a really strong reason for otherwise, editing a few contestants so we can root for them and not go "Oh, this one made it to hometowns?". Except for Michelle's seasons and the Tayshia portion of the Bachelorette 16 season, all seasons since Pilot Pete have been structurally all over the place.

I stuck with the show through Arie, Clayton, etc. but I think next season I’ll save myself some disappointment and just watch Fantake instead.
You can blame all of that on the show's producer's who are, OBVIOUSLY, lacking in creative ideas and imaginations. This show has a simple recipe to it, which made The Bachelor & The Bachelorette so successful. Now the producer's think turning it into a soap opera will be more enticing. Whomever "They" are, have ruined this show.

At some point, either in the opening or closing credits of Erich's hometown visit, they did make a note of his passing, and dedicated the episode to him. For the family that one time was probably enough.
I think it was done out of respect. It's too raw this soon. They dedicated home town episode to him. Erich may have asked them not to as well. Losing your Dad is a very hard thing even years later.

Tino was understandably upset about this because he was excited about being engaged. So they were having a hard time. Racheal was also having a hard time grieving the other relationships. Tino is def the AH in this situation, but also I think having Aven coming out with Tino still on the couch was a dick move from production. idk, Rachel is phoney as Zach eluded to... she was wearing a big red flag appropriately. Tino likely knew he would be the fall guy no matter what he said, obviously Rachel went to counseling at his request and did not want this aired. He kissed someone... not the worst thing that has taken place. I believe him, that she said she was taking the engagement ring off- which is likely while he brought that notebook so he could have everything in front of him.

What an absolute train wreck. The show spoiled its own ending right out of the gate, and they’re so hellbent on being “the most dramatic ending ever” that they forced these two people to fight and break up on camera. It was made clear that they were not going to divulge crucial information (of which I think would have made them BOTH look horrible) so they should have let them break up off camera, and show up at ATFR in a sit down with Jesse to make a joint statement.
But because this show is terrible, they ended up making Tino look a little sympathetic even though he cheated on her. Rachel, girl, listen to me - there is no justification for him to cheat even if you’re in a bad place. No one denies that. But when you demand that he explain why he did it, his answers are going to include how he felt at the time. It’s going to sound like excuses. It is. “Because we were in a bad place/the things you said were hurtful, I made a terrible choice to kiss someone instead of just ending the relationship. It doesn’t make what I did right. But you asked me why I did what I did, and that’s the reason.”
So they talk over each other, they both can’t agree what was actually said, and outside, Tino looks like a caged dog - clearly, they brought him back to crucify him. And it’s clear that they wanted to protect their lead as well. (Personally, I don’t think she came off looking great either, and the vagueness of the entire thing reminded me of her breakup with Zach. Her refusal to let Tino, as big of an asshat as he is, finish a sentence because it wasn’t what she wanted to hear reminded me of her breakup with Aven.) With all of that in mind, I think Tino was absolutely valid in asking what she wanted from the conversation. It was obvious she didn’t want reconciliation, she wanted blood. And I understand that. But him basically begging and crying outside to have her break up with him and let him go, and then having Aven come out while he’s still on the couch? For those wondering why people feel sympathy towards Tino, they can blame production. Let these people keep their dignity for crying out loud.

The way producers treated him and leaving him while she left with Aven was heartless. There was no compassion from Rachel at all. Rachel seemed like she wanted the story told and she wanted Tino under the bus. She kept accusing him of telling his side of the story without context, but when he tried to give context, she cut him off and wouldn’t let him say what he wanted. If it was something that painted her in a good light- we can be sure she would want it out there for all of us to know.
What he did was absolutely wrong. There are no excuses. He is human and deserves alittle grace. Rachel got so much undeserved support for her temper tantrum, I’m surprised he suffered through it as long as he did.

What Tino did was WRONG. Period
However, as with Aven also, Rachel had a narrative in her head. She could not listen to what either guy was saying to her regarding the particular situation because it did not fit what was going on in her mind.
She could not get past the difference between what Aven told her and what Aven told her family, so she did not hear what Aven was trying so hard to say to her.
At one point on the house couch Tino said, "Is there any way this works out?"
The answer of course was, "No," because the narrative in Rachel's mind as she told us was that he could not even apologize, and yet I strongly suspect that if someone went back through those 3 hours and counted, Tino apologized maybe 10 times in one form or another.
I have been married 38 years. There have been some bodacious, humdinger squabbles, but the way Rachel does it is NOT the way you sustain a relationship.
You throw it out there. You hash it out, and it may not be lovely. Sometimes you are right. Sometimes the other person is right, but it does not go on and on and on and on, etc. Some resolution has to be made, and you move on.
Until our Babygirl learns something about how to verbally squabble, she is never going to have anybody.
Finally someone sees what I see with Rachel. There is no compromise with her. Tino was wrong but there was nothing he could do or say at that point. WOW. Love this channel but VEHEMENTLY disagree. I think that we can all agree that what Tino did was 100% wrong and that Rachel was right to break up with him. He was a bit frenzied, leaving the room repeatedly, and I was really with Rachel for awhile. I mean, if the dude can’t handle a rough patch without kissing someone else, he’s more than likely going to end up in bed with someone when things get more difficult, or even become a serial cheater. The infidelity is unacceptable.
THAT SAID, I ended last night’s episode feeling awful for Tino and COMPLETELY OVER RACHEL. The way he was treated by her on ATFR was maddening. She kept asking him to explain, and accused him of providing no context. So he tried over and over again to contextualize, and EVERY SINGLE TIME the context included a reference to her that wasn’t 100% positive, she shot him down. He said that what he did was horrible and that he was deeply sorry for hurting her, and then he explained that some of her actions and words had hurt him. But NO - you are NOT allowed to say that Rachel did ANYTHING wrong or anything to hurt Tino. That is a cardinal sin.
Tino wasn’t making excuses. She asked for an explanation, and the explanation involved his feelings of hurt at some of what had been directed at him by her. Even though she had said earlier in the episode that she was dealing with her own problems ASIDE from their relationship, that they may have caused her to not be as supportive of him as she could be, and that she went to therapy to deal with her issues - she still wasn’t willing to see that perhaps those issues had led her to behave in ways that caused Tino pain and pushed him away. The slightest mention of any of her words or actions being hurtful was met with “You’re putting this on MEEEEEEE????” Oh my god, grow up. Do you want the explanation? If not, that’s fine. But then stop asking for it and refusing to listen. Do you want to understand him? Or do want him to be solely the sinner and you to be solely the saint? I COMPLETELY understand her hurt and her anger. Completely. Tino was wrong, and he definitely should NOT have said that he shouldn’t have told her. NOT KOOL. I could see Tino’s frustration as he struggled to explain his hurt while being aware of the cameras - which he seemed to be shocked to see in the safe house - and aware as well as of the things that he knew Rachel would view as a betrayal if he said out loud. But he admitted that he said he shouldn’t have told her because he was afraid that his telling her would mean losing her, which is a very human, vulnerable way to feel.
Tino, don’t kiss other people if you do want to lose your fiance. But also, Rachel, don’t bring him on stage pretending that you want an explanation - as if it could possibly change something - when all you seem to want to do is berate him publicly. It was SO frustrating watching him try SO MANY TIMES to explain why he did what he did, only to have her shut him up ANY TIME he presented her in a less-than-flattering light for even a nanosecond. It was clear that she didn’t want the audience to hear certain things, but kept demanding context that could not be provided without the sharing of those things. I was glad when he asked her what she wanted out of this conversation, because I had no idea. She invited him over because she wanted an explanation, but was willing to listen only to an explanation that rendered her completely innocent. I was also disgusted with how the entire AFTR audience seemingly sided with her immediately with apparently no nuanced insight whatsoever. She was right to be angry at the cheating. But her treatment of Tino as he tried to do what she requested - explain himself - was horrendous. If you don’t want him because he cheated, that’s beyond justified. But don’t say you want to talk to him only to kick him repeatedly when he tries to speak his piece and his perspective.
I went into this season thinking that Rachel was perhaps not quite mature enough for this process, but liking her personality and believing that she seemed like a very sweet woman. I feel a bit differently now. I’m not suggesting that there aren’t wonderful things about her - I have no doubt that there are. But, to be frank, she kind of scares me. Two weeks ago, she gaslighted Zach by suddenly trying to sow doubt in mind about whether he was too young to get married - what??? - completely destabilizing him after saying she was falling in love with him. Last week, she accused Aven of yelling at her when he literally did NOTHING OF THE SORT, which was a red flag of GIANT proportions. That, to me, is someone who claim she was a victim of verbal abuse when it hasn't happened. This week, she sat there with a straight face and said that Tino had never said sorry when we literally saw him say it to her face MULTIPLE TIMES ON SCREEN. I have really tried to like Rachel throughout the season - and at some moments really have - but what I'm seeing more and more is someone whose recollection of a story can't be depended upon as true. I mean, imagine if she'd come to you crying saying that Aven yelled at her -- and then you actually see the footage of him doing nothing of the kind. Or imagine her saying to you "He cheated on me and he's not even sorry and he keeps putting it ALL ON MEEEE!" -- and then you watched the footage and see Tino apologizing repeatedly and saying "This is not on you Rachel, I own this." She freaks me out with the ease which with she bends the truth, even on national television. How much would she bend it with no cameras??
I think that Tino needs to understand that cheating is not how you deal with hurt. But Rachel needs to do an enormous amount of self-reflection. If I were Aven, I’d think long and hard about pursuing something with her. I know that there is a lot of mutual fondness there. But there have been multiple moments this season where she has tried to portray herself as the aggrieved, with zero thought as to how her actions may have played a role in her own negative outcomes. I keep having to remind myself that she is only 26, and I hope that the next several years bring growth and hindsight that allows her to ponder how she might have handled this more maturely.

This is exactly my thoughts, surprised bachelor fantake was so biased, he usually is for the girls, but not to this extent. Maybe he will elaborate more when he grades the season. I liked Rachel so much last season, but this season, the episode on gabbys date when she cried that nobody looked at her, me and the wife instantly knew she was crazy. The gaslighting, the yelling part, the always the victim mentality, the me me me. She just isn't ready but maybe the producers knew that and made her the bachelorette with gabby cause they knew this would get messy. I'm kinda worried for Zach, because he seems like a genuine guy, and i think they might play to his awkward persona and girls rejecting him approach(as we already saw with them setting him up by remembering their names, embarrassing him). I hope i'm wrong and he just nails it. These producers were filthy this season lol.

And yeah, Rachel falling apart because the guys were more into watching their friends whom they hadn't seen in a while in a boxing ring than they were into making googly eyes at her was bizarre -- considering it was GABBY'S GROUP DATE!!! They literally weren't even there to be with you in that moment! But the producers read her insecurity early and LOVED exploiting it.

Half the comments are just “welp, I get him. Rachel is such a high maintenance b*tch”. As if this dude didn’t cheat on her after all the sh*t she had to get through with his family. He’s been a huge red flag all season, but because of how they edited Rachel to get the team R & team G, now Rachel is the bad guy in the situation 🙄
I felt that way at first, but after watching it back a few times I see how poorly he handled it. Rachel had every right to be angry. I think how she argues just annoys me.

I honestly didn't think it was that dramatic because the show spoiled itself with its "previews". Then I couldn't understand people were shocked, even though Jesse talked about Tino's "indiscretions" in the very opening of the show. Also, wth with the audience clapping at the proposal when clearly all of the above has been established + Rachel's face last week and this week during the live broadcast!
Previews can be fun, but I couldn't believe we could easily tell that Hayden and Logan were leaving the show amidst drama, and worse, that Nate and Johnny would not make it. Finally, even without watching BF you could tell Rachel and Tino were final pick, but would somehow implode.
By the time we finally watch the 136 hour long finale stretched over 2 years, it was boring and painful.
I'm over Rachel and Tino. I wish Gabby and Erich the best. Now on to Paradise 🏝☀️
The Aven Rachel moment was so dumb and felt like they were trying to give Rachel a consolation prize in Aven instead of just letting her be single and happy. And honestly really cruel to Tino. Like yeah dude fucked up but at least let him get off the stage. Bad call on production's part.
The difference of true love between Gabby & Erich and Rachel & Tino is so obvious! The body language, genuine eye contact and emotions were vastly different. R&T were just going through the motions and doing it for the show. G&E have a real connection and one we haven’t seen in such a long time (Michelle & Nayte came close but we all know how that turned out). I truly hope G&E can make a real go of it and last the distance. Thank god that’s over, it’s exhausting. I actually wish there were a couple of weeks gap between this and BIP - girl needs a breather!

I don't know if all Tino did was make out with some other woman. From the jump, I wasn't a fan of his. But what's clear is that Rachel had no intentions of forgiving him, and wanted to talk in person just to humiliate him on TV. (Then, the fool let it happen to him again, Live). Just like with Aven, when he was trying to explain how much he cares of Rachel, and wants to be with her but doesn't want to get engaged yet, Rachel hears what she wants to hear, and nothing else.
When that woman Brianna came out I literally said wow. She's stunning and seemed really sweet.

Rachel is a spoiled brat. She ripped Clayton a new one, yet she did almost the exact same thing with Aven and Tino. She knew all along how old Zach was but after she kept him there until the final three and fantasy suites she kept insisting he wasn't old enough to be ready for an engagement. Zach said it was like Rachel was putting on a front. That was how she behaved with each of the guys. She wanted to always be portrayed in a good light even if she was wrong and it meant portraying them badly. Aven said he was ready to "be" engaged, and Rachel gaslighted him when he tried to explain himself. She wanted him to commit to a proposal even though she would not/could not commit to accepting his proposal. And then she said it was Tino all along. So she wanted Aven to propose just so she could turn him down? She also gaslighted Tino. He was definitely wrong with what he did and neither his explanation nor his apology were acceptable. And kissing somebody isn't a tiny matter if you are engaged. However, if Rachel didn't want to work it out she should have broken up with him. Instead, all she wanted to do was rake him over the coals in front of the camera and get him to say he wanted to work it out so she could take the "high road" and break up with him. Rachel was not mature enough to be the bachelorette. Rachel wanted all of the guys to profess undying love for her even though she could not/would not return the feelings. Whenever she felt like they didn't pay enough attention to her she cried and whined like an entitled brat. I can't believe that Aven is still interested in her after how she behaved towards him and now that he knows that even when she was pushing him to commit to a proposal that she said she was in love with Tino.

Tino was wrong for not just taking the L and Rachel was childish for only accepting the answers she wanted to hear. She only wanted to regain her pride and Tino only wanted to save face. No one owes you closure, they should have just split off and left it at that

Tino cheating was absolutely and wholeheartedly wrong. It was odd though... I found myself more annoyed by Rachel than by Tino last night. She seemed to be gaslighting him at the live ATFR. She is not a good communicator and doesn't know how to settle arguments. It came across like Tino was the calm adult in the scenario and Rachel was a toddler stomping her feet. And that thing with Aven... that was just terrible. So awkward and planned. Tino literally asked Jesse quietly if he could just leave. It was HORRIBLE.

I actually agree here although I’m so against cheating but for some reason I felt for Tino more!! Rachel did not go about it the right way and I just could not empathise with her it’s hard to explain but you get it as I completely agree you explained so well!
Obviously Tino kissed someone and is in the wrong, but the way Rachel acted after the fact proved why I didn't like her this whole season. Tino sucks, but so does Rachel
When production proposed this idea to Aven, he should have hung up. He saw how immature she is, why come back unless it was for the screen time but there is BIP for that.

It does confuse me how people see Rachel as the bad guy. Tino came in so defensive and told her it was a 'tiny thing' and refused to give details. He started the tone of that conversation, Rachel just had to finish it. I feel like he's been around people who forgive cheaters his whole life and didn't think it was 'that bad'. I do feel like the show went too far with Aven coming out, but I would have gotten so mad if someone who cheated on me, came in on the offensive and trying to make me look bad.
A kiss isn't sex but this happened a short time after being engaged (3 months? max?) and if a kiss isn't a big deal then, maybe a 3 or 4 month affair wouldn't be a big deal to him after 10 years of marriage. My initial thought was it was drunken flirting but then I started thinking about the timing and his response and wondering why he put himself in that situation...

He said she met up with a girl he was talking to before the show to “ catch up” so it wasn’t just a drunken kiss, it was a whole thing.

Rachel just continued to talk over him, and demand more when he gave her what she asked for. It seemed like she wasn’t interested in ever getting an apology or context, she just wanted to crucify him on national television. It was hard to watch

Like she’ll tell her husband to let her sleep in the next morning because she’s tired. He’ll say “okay” and then the next morning quietly gets up. As he’s bringing her breakfast in bed she’ll be like “how dare you not wake me up when you got up”. And he’ll be like “but you told me you wanted to sleep”. And she’ll be like “are you saying I’m grumpy and need more sleep? Are you saying I can’t cook breakfast? Why are you saying I’m a bad cook?”. He’ll be like “I’m not saying that. I just listened to what you said last night”. She’ll be like “why are you yelling? why are you turning this on me? This is your problem. You’re the one who got up without me”. Hopefully I’m wrong lol

Why couldn’t she tell us why she said she was giving the ring back when she got to L.A and just wanted to date, After dragging all those guys and pressuring them about an engagement, before Tino kissed another girl!!??? It was definitely saying that she didn’t want something talked about and she wanted to put it all on him. Thank goodness so many people are seeing that now!! With what Zach said it all adds up , he seen straight through her and dodged a bullet! We need her answers, why didn’t she want a certain thing talked about? Why did she have a fit about being engaged then suddenly wanted to just date. What? Nothing excuses cheating. Nothing. Tino acknowledged that they were not on a break or broken up at any point and that they never even broke off the engagement. Also, Tino was the one that initially talked about going back to dating, and Rachel’s response was that she didn’t want to wear the ring at the live taping if Tino wanted them to go back to dating. He repeatedly lied to her, gaslit her, and tried to manipulate her. People have already sleuthed out on Instagram that Tino was talking with this girl he cheated with the moment he got back from filming making comments that absolutely are not ok to make while engaged. Just a thought, but that’s probably why she didn’t want to sleep with him after finding out. Then it turns out he deliberately messaged this girl to meet up with her at a bar while pretending like it was some chance encounter? And they left together? But “only kissing” happened? Yeah, no. Takes a really…shall we say, “out there” person to blame all of that on Rachel and pretend any of it is her fault. I’m getting really tired of seeing such internalized misogyny from the people in this franchise. She’s getting hate when she didn’t do anything wrong, but you’re all ok with forgiving Tino for lying, cheating, and trying to manipulate her? No. Not ok. Never ok.

I wasn't surprised by this outcome. Rachel comes across as high maintenance and loaded with emotional baggage, while Tino seems like the classic narcissist. I'm not holding out a lot of hope for Gabby either, but I'm rooting for them just because I like her. Disappointed with Zack as Bach. Aven would have been a much better choice.

If I were Tino watching that back I would be like get me outta here. Cheating is not the answer but Rachel is seemingly a lot of work to be with. Idk she just came off icky.
