Today's version in the bee bottle..ugh.. it's a disgrace they even kept the name 'samsara' for this. If only more people knew how this treasure used to smell back then... Forever incomparable!

Especially the last one EDEN, it was one of my signatures back in the day when it came out, also her cousin LÉau which they sadly discontinued, gorgeous unforgettable scents.....actually I don´t think that there is any of the Cacharels that people don´t like really....Lou Lou and Amor Amor are beautiful too....it´s sad though that they have lost their POWER BOMB characteristic through the 2000´s! The Yes I am Line...smell good but last nothing compared to the 90´s BOM.COM scents from Cacharel!

You are the only fragrance reviewer that I've seen (heard!) talk about Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. I have several of their oils . They are always a surprise. I particularly like The Enkindled Spring from last spring; Dead Leaves, Blue Lilac... from fall 2019; Masquerade from their General Catalogue, and Seven Word Story: Pride (almost every kind of green scent you can think of (and some you haven't thought of!)) from 2019. I recently applied Sustained Boos which I've had for some time, and really appreciated it for the first time (spicy!). They're fun and the scents are great. Please keep mentioning them.
Love that you mentioned yvresse (champagne)! It is such an underrated fragrance and I think it’s timeless. It was made long before I was even born, but I’ve always owned a Bottle and hopefully, I’ll never be without one! :) love your taste and all my blind buys I’ve done with the help of your reviews have been successful! I love all!! Samsara parfum was one that my mum´s had, sadly we throw up the bottle anda the case. Shalimar parfum initial is also my favorite. I´ve gor 2 back up bottles. Ubar, sadly i didnt buy it, but Beloved, Momoir, Interlude and Myths are in my collection (Beloved and Interlude both for woman are my favorites). In ARgentina, it was only possible to find Samsara edt, wich is fantastic ( I hace the old formula and the new one, and it hadn´t changed really though)... Love this video!!!

Also, Champagne, Bois des Iles and Coromandel EDTs. I also have Vintage Jolie Madame and Shalimar parfum, You have some real treasures in your collection! You've inspired me to reach for them more often.
Agree with you about Samsara as I collect the vintages too. I had an empty bottle in a Les Meteorites case - I tried to refill it and unfortunately broke it so am always looking for a bottle to go in the case!
Great video :) agent provocateur l'agent and it's beautiful and a little bit dirty in a fantastic way. Last time I looked you can get bottles of it on eBay for a really cheap price! I definitely didn't buy a 50ml, fall in love with the powdery incense, then get a 100ml bottle for £20...
Yes, "Shalimar Parfum Initial" is now in a Bee bottle called "L'Initial Guerlain"" ! But people complain it's terribly expensive : 230.00 € !! I'll pass... I mean - I will wait another few years,,,,, this price can't stay this high forever ! ( angry bzzzz ) :))) Are you afraid that perfumes can turn bad in several years ? Usually in 8-10 years they go bad.
Not reall, I've never had an issue with a perfume going bad. Luckily I live in a cool place with not much natural light so they stay safe. If I get any incling that something might be starting to turn, I just make sure to pay it more attention. :) But, these samsaras from the 90's? Perfectly fine!

I seriously use my perfumes way too much that they do not reach a year of use; I guess it is also because I do not have an extensive collection, just 20 fragrances, and some of them are in 30 ml bottles, so it isn't a lot.
@@matheya It is a real struggle to not hoard, ha ha ha. Best I could do is to just to limit my buying to one perfume a month. And it is good that we wait for prices of perfumes to go down because they can really be astronomical.
Start a campaign/petition for Dior to bring back Midnight Poison and while you at it also for Mugler to bring back Alien Essence Absolute and Pure Havane 😠😡🤬 I don’t understand why they discontinue fragrances like this. I can understand if they are not popular but why do they discontinue most loved fragrances?!! Really someone explain! Is it due to ingredient regulations? Patent ownership? There has to be some logical explanation because I don’t understand how or why they would discontinue fragrances that people love. ❤️💔

L' Agent was my last blindbuy a couple of years ago. Well... that pretty much says it all😂 To me it smelled SO disgusting. I knew, unlike with other blindbuys, there wasn't even a chance I could ever like it in the future. And I could even easily wear Eden😅

Yvresse is also on my top 10. After the lawsuit and ensuing bottle and name change, I bought 2 bottles, and guard them w/ my life. Luckily, I don't think it was reformulated. But since I don't have any of the original Champagne left, I can't do a side by side. Do you mind letting us know if they smell different? At least to my nose, they are the same.
I only have my memories of smelling it as a teenager when it was called champagne, and from what I remember it was definitely stronger, I don't think they changed the formula in terms or notes, or took anything away, it's just a bit less rich. Still very strong though. it's amazing!
Mine is Ici by Coty. I know it was and might be still a very popular scent but the fact that you literally can’t find it anywhere anymore expect the smallest possible size on eBay makes me super super sad.

OMG! You own the original Fendi? It was my Moms signature back in the Day and i feel lile crying because i want to gift it to her so bad but cant find it! Fendi and Fahrenheit (my Dads signature, still to thos day) are the 2 Perfumes that basically shaped the taste i have today in Perfumes. Lucky you! Oh that's lovely! The dupe I tried was actually very good now that I have tried the actual one. It was by the perfume parlour. It's the only time I really agree with buying a dupe, when something is long discontinued and so hard to find. Yvresse is also on my top 10. After the lawsuit and ensuing bottle and name change, I bought 2 bottles, and guard them w/ my life. Luckily, I don't think it was reformulated. But since I don't have any of the original Champagne left, I can't do a side by side. Do you mind letting us know if they smell different? At least to my nose, they are the same.
I only have my memories of smelling it as a teenager when it was called champagne, and from what I remember it was definitely stronger, I don't think they changed the formula in terms or notes, or took anything away, it's just a bit less rich. Still very strong though. it's amazing!
What’s the scoop on why they reform fragrance?

OMG! You own the original Fendi? It was my Moms signature back in the Day and i feel lile crying because i want to gift it to her so bad but cant find it! Fendi and Fahrenheit (my Dads signature, still to thos day) are the 2 Perfumes that basically shaped the taste i have today in Perfumes.

Oh that's lovely! The dupe I tried was actually very good now that I have tried the actual one. It was by the perfume parlour. It's the only time I really agree with buying a dupe, when something is long discontinued and so hard to find. do you recommend shalimar parfum initial for hot weather (30 degrees and up)? i love shalimar but i moved to a tropical country and i can't wear it a lot anymore :/
I think it could work yes, I mean maybe in the evening, it's not so so heavy or as ambery as the original shalimar!
For hot weather I actually think Eau de Cologne or Cologne versions of Shalimar would be best!
