Mercedes Metris open hood error fix

My 2016 Mercedes Metris kept telling me that my hood (bonnet) was open and signaled with a ‘ding’ every second. This pretty bad video explains how I fixed it - I know I sound like a rambling fool and the video is awful but perhaps it can help you!
