- We had success harvesting 2 deer on our first sit of the season in Ohio. Using @dronedeerrecovery for recovery was a huge success! Thanks Mike!

An excellent Buck? What a great result for Lewis. That drone recovery is something else.
Good job guys! 👍
Thanks again Mike!!
Found out about your channel through drone deer recovery and subscribed. Great video!
Cool! Thanks! Hope you enjoy the rest of the videos.
great video. question. at 17:49 in the video you have a large screen on the tailgate connected to the drone controller. Can you tell me if you built that or bought it as a kit. I live in south la and looking to purchase a thermal drone for different types of work plus animal recovery. thanks and keep them coming.
Drone Deer Recovery sells those on their website I believe.
Good hunt and good first buck with a bow. Was pretty cool to see how the drone works.
Great job and way to be diligent on the recovery.
Thanks!
Good hunts you two...was AWESOME to see that recovery by the drone!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
Why did you have a bow in the woods long after the expiration of legal hunting hours?
congrats on a nice buck getting on video is great treasure to have
This video shows the importance to stay diligent and ever give up. And practice practice practice. We have all made bad shots, its learning fromt them is whats key.
Very true!! I can say the boys really practiced shooting their bows a lot this year!!
congratulations on your buck hopefully you get that head mounted
He’s at the taxidermist!
Great video thanks for sharing that drone work is amazing
Been waiting on a hunting video from yous
We have another episode already recorded with a droptine buck on the ground.
Congrats! Really cool that was his first bow kill. I too shot a great buck too far back, almost that exact shot actually, for my first bow kill. Must be something about first deer 😅.
Interesting! I can’t remember my first bow kill. But I’ll never forget my last one!

The first buck i shot with a bow i hit way far back and didn't get much penetration. Didn't find any blood or the buck unfortunately.
How did you order the ground blind
Directly from Tidwe’s website. We love it so well I ordered another yesterday.
@@UnlimitedWhitetailHunting I’ve tried and got hacked
I ordered from Tidewe and received my items, which I love. Then I thought they were having a sale and didn't pay attention to the website and was scammed. The fake website looked exactly like Tidewe. I'm out $119. Live and learn I guess. Nice hunt guys. This is my 1st year of hunting and I shot a nice 10pt and didn't find him until the next morning.
@@allenrichards9949 yeah I keep seeing stories of the fake sites copying Tidwe. I guess we just gotta be careful and check the links every time. We love Tidwe products too! Congrats on your buck!
Great buck
Thanks for watching!!
How much do they charge to come out and find a deer like with drone?
$450 to come out plus $100 if they find the deer and mileage if it’s over 60 mile drive. Ours wasn’t so it was $550.
Nice Buck!
That fawn had a little bit of piebald in it
Yeah if you look closely, both of them did. And both are button bucks. Hopefully they will stick around and we can keep track of them fairly easily.
If you bow hunt long enough that's going to happen to you several times
Assuming you’re talking about the bad shot yes, you are correct. Happens to the best.
Wearing hundreds of dollars of kuiu while hunting in a blind for whitetails is a bold play 😂
Awesome vid
Always wear all black when hunting from a blind.
Its a shame that alot of midwest states dont allow drone recovery. I hunt in kansas every year, but if hit a world class buck bad, we have to rely on dogs are ourselves. And thats jumping the deer if its still alive. The drone negates all that. You dont bump him, and you fo away with grid searching and all that. congrats buddy!! Good job mike. ive been waiting for more videos
Hopefully they will come around and see the value of it soon. It’s so non-invasive and just makes sense.
If it is still alive the drone will spook it. Have you ever watched drone footage and it comes upon deer in a field. 250 feet high above them and those deer are gone, they are not sticking around for that noise.
@@Diffidentone not always. Especially at night. We watched this drone fly right over deer in the woods at 200’+ in the air and they didn’t spook at all. Thermal works best at night or in cloudy conditions.
How’s everything going?~ yo!cool ~ be well-;)
Going well!
Elapsed time from shot to drone visual? Buck didn't make it very long with a gut hit?
Approximately 3-1/2 hours. He was already stiff when we got to him.
How long does it take before the deer loses its heat signature?
Good question! Let’s see if Mike can answer that…
Well heck, great buck!, Ohio only allows one antlered deer per statewide, per shooter. Shoot does! You must be very proud of his deer!
Lewis is definitely happy with this deer! With the lack of pictures we didn’t have very high hopes of getting this one, but timing is everything in hunting.
Thanks for watching Mike!
Love watching watchin drone recovery. Thanks mike.
Good video. Love the Ohio HuntFish app for checking in deer. Shot a doe last night , but didnt find blood so backed out and went and found her this morning. Absolutely no reason to be shooting doe that have fawns with them. There are plenty of solo doe. Also, why the heck anyone shoots mechanicals is beyond me. There are no advantages and many disadvantages of shooting mechanicals.
Thanks for watching! Let’s just say you’ll have a hard time to get everyone to agree on mechanicals or not mechanicals. 🤣🤣
Also there is an advantage to shooting to doe with fawns. The orphaned fawns are gonna stay on the property if you shoot the doe. If you don’t she’s gonna chase them out of the area. That’s what research shows.
