It is very emotional--from the perspective of a dog, which you wouldn't know unless someone told you. I love this home take, but it doesn't really do him justice if you don't watch any more of them. This is not the song for his voice tbh.

I'd recommend starting with the First Take performances because they have lyric translations (Dry Flower is the sequel to Kakurenbo, then there's also Betelgeuse, Leo, Shutter). But my favorite song of his is called "Kagome," the piano version on his youtube channel is wonderful (sadly it doesn't have subtitles), but someone's released a good English translation video with subs (th-cam.com/video/84zl_4h40No/w-d-xo.html). "Peter Pan" is also one of my favorites, someone's made an English translation for the live version. The performances of him singing Leo with another famous Japanese singer, Tani Yuuki, are also great

YES I love Yuuri! One of my fav singers rn. I believe he was a busker previously? But yeah, it actually surprised me when I noticed his voice has a rasp when he goes all out. His control is insane. It goes to show how many years of effort and hardwork goes into it. Since most people are suggesting Betelgeuse (which i reccommend as well) , I suggest checking out Shutter, Leo and Till I ! Those three are my favorites. And speaking of rasp singers, I highly reccommend Kanade Izuru. You can check out his "Love me, Love me, Love me" cover for a start. Another insane singer.
