This song has a full transition of emotion from sorrow to rage to depression to wrath to compromising/resolution at the end. That's why it hit me hard back then.

@beussta a lot of vocal coaches and musicians strive for perfection while others strive for the story and art. I myself moved away from the over production, elitist side of music and went deeper into the story and art of music. I feel the more you strive for perfection, over producing and making your music sound perfect, the more you lose the emotion. Imagine Freddie Mercury or Chester from Linkin Park or any great PERFORMER strived for perfection. Imagine how boring and lifeless music would be. There's a big difference between a singer and a performer

Keep in mind, TK is absolutely making his voice sound “whinny” on purpose. I think he said he really tried to make it sound like Kaneki was singing the song.
He’s one of my favorite artists period and he’s got such an incredible sound

I like your perspective and analysis. Not many people can go through the song clearly because of the difference in musical tastes. Of course, except for anime comrades. The way TK controls his voice that fluently is so insane.

I actually really like it. Not one of my favourites, but it's very interesting how they took it in a similar direction, but in a much more sinister style
