- in this video i demonstrated how to repair how to repair VCC3 Compressor dc inverter control board for fridge refrigerator
it is vcc3 2 speed dc inverter compressor control board. it takes 220V AC single phase and converts it to dc and then the microprocessor inverts dc voltage in 3 phase 230 V 53 Hz to 150 Hz. so that in this way the frequency of drive voltage for compressor is varied to get DC inverter technology for energy saving and quick cooling. thermostat signal is coupled to the micro-controller using optocoupler to change the output frequency
this circuit comprises a built-in SMPS switch mode power supply using TNY254 IC and a transformer to create 3.3V DC VCC for microprocessor. and a 6 V biasing voltage for half bridge SMPS driver IC IR2304 to drive MOSFET

Hi Mr Haseeb, question I happen to have a working VCC3 2456, which is 220V 2.1A 1PH input, and 230v 3.3A 3PH 53-120Hz output. And need to know if it will work with 115v 2.1A input?

My refrigerator stops working and completely defrosts sporadically. It will start working several hours later and work for a couple of months. The amps from the motherboard
and voltage to the inverter checks out. Can the problem be the thermostat in the inverter.

Hello, can anyone say how to test thermostat on refrigerator that uses this motherboard?
there are 2 types
1 is just send on/off signal (logic high or logic low to turn on / turn off compressor)
2nd type uses code based communication ptotocol to control compressor (most of time it is used in inverter compressor board) you can monitor the signal using oscilloscope 5 volt peak coded signals )
@@HaseebElectronics Thank you. I expected something like that. Unfortunately I am not such advanced with all of this. I can measure a resistance, measure a sensor, but sending on of signal I have no idea.
I have a bosch refrigerator with this motherboard and I have tested it as the compressor doesn't turn. Tested first the compressor:
16.0 ohm, then 16.2 and then another 16.2 ohm for the resistance between the three pins.
Then I tested the motherboard, on the compressor conector:
After few seconds since replugged, the motherboard sends about ten times about 57 volts to compressor (measurements on AC), it does this ten times and then it stops, but the compressor doesn't seem to turn, even between these steps.
I thought the pcb is the problem and bought a new one, it does the same.
Then I opened the no frost system and checked everything there :
Main resistance 0.479 kohm
Thermal security passed
Temperature sensor on main resistance about 500ohm
Second sensor(i don't know for sure if it's a sensor or a resistance as it is less visible, it goes to the rear side of evaporator) , about 450 ohm.
I have to test the fridge compartment sensor and if it's not this one, I don't know what could it be.

Sir I m abhishek .I have whirlpool freez .Inverter board not passing current to compressor and Bulb is lighting inside freez . Capacitors and MOSFET are good but do not know why current not passing plz help

For me it is very valuable information, coincidentally I am repairing one but I do not have an oscilloscope or an inverter compressor to use as a load. my question is, can you use incandescent bulbs as load? or with the multimeter is enough. hi sir my inverter is kikdr and the signal is thermostat
so do i still give 3.3 volts at signal pin and start the circuit?
can i know what should be the voltage at the 3 pin connector im getting dcv +-12v at all 3 pins is this correct?

I have tested the compressor and my readings was I believe 6.7 ohms on all three legs and testing each line to ground was not shorted using a typical multimeter ! Does that seem correct?
