    How thick is the metal on a car and what size wire is that

    • @Jakedrifts
      @Jakedrifts 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      1.3 mm usually i think or 50 thou

    • @ToreDL87
      @ToreDL87 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jakedrifts But with corrosion taking its toll its better to assume 0.9mm
      I usually replace with 0.9mm on Toyota's, and for MIG wire I like to use 0.6mm, with the right settings and if I'm in the zone I can write my name into the rusty panels that I cut out.

    That job requiring a plasma cutter and spot welder for best job. Anyway, you
    did good job but it is better to cut after you already prep new peace.

    I made it to 1:06 ,,, why would I want to listen to anyone that cant work out that there should be a guard on not one , but both of those grinders ,,,, Fool. And never use mig wire for tig unless you have to , its lacking a lot of the additives that are in tig wire , this guy has no idea.

    thats some of the worst work ive seen in a long time , what a butcher.
    No guards on grinders from a professional ,, tragic.

    • @ToreDL87
      @ToreDL87 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Often I have to take the guards off to get better access in tight spaces (particularly inner sills), that's just the way it is. Donno what kind of sheltered work environment you're in that allows 200% safety at every notch and cranny, but good for you.
      Nobody's 100% perfect, at least he got the job done better than most people who start out, and it's metal, so it's always revers-able.

      @@ToreDL87 If you cant get the job done without taking guards off , your using the wrong tool , I live in a very real world.

      @@tomthompson7400 He had big thick gloves on get over it already.. You live in your own world, not the real world. Why do people have to bully other people because they do the same thing differently.

    • @tomthompson7400

      @@jasonstrout4502 grinders come with guards ,, not gloves .
      Do you need me to draw you a picture , or can you get a grasp on it now.
      When you put the title of a video as '' do the job right'' you kind of expect that half an attempt would be made , as a video its grim as an advert its tragic.
      In the interest of fair play I watched the video again ,,, and Ill stand by my first post .
      Using mig wire as a tig filler isnt the best solution either .

    Eww! That's some kind of nasty bird dropping seam. 😱🤢
    I don't like being that guy, but you spared no heat at all when you didn't have puddle control with mig wire no less!?
    It did explain that flame tattoo on your chest though. 🤔
