@@chris-kb1rp no it didn't drain his strength.. He was just taking his time he could've killed all of them in seconds if he wanted to in infinity wars. He'll even kick end game thanos with a snap or turn that purple ball sac in a literal ball sac.

They proved his lifelong goal and solution of just wiping out half of all life to be pointless because there will still be survivors trying to change what he did. If you dont wanna watch the entire video here: *In Infinity War:* Older Thanos, has one goal of bringing balance, his target isnt to kill the Avengers unless they are a threat. He was more calm and delicated to his goal. (You can see he was playing with them and wasn't really fighting unless he really needed to.) *In Endgame:* Younger Thanos, has a goal of just killing everyone and destroying planet by planet and therefore he was more aggressive and since he was younger - he was faster and stronger.
Not that simple. In Endgame Thanos knows that he has beaten this group before, but they are out for vengeance, what he doesn't know is how he won, or why. So Thanos in Endgame has a goal and suits up and prepare as best he can, because what he do know is that when he beat them previously, he had all of the Infinity stones, yet they have returned. So he knows he has to bring his best to win. In Infinity War he was much more focused on his end goal, and not in any doubts he could beat them, if he needed to. As you state, he wasn't to kill anyone, it was up to the stones to decide who would die. But it is true, that the fight against Spiderman, Ironman, Doctor Strange and Starlord shouldn't have been a problem for him in the first place. Then again we know Doctor Strange had seen the fight in advanced and told the others what their best strategy would be.
IW: Avengers - no plan, confused. Thanos - plan of his life, completely ready. Eg: Avengers - plan of their life, completely ready. Thanos - no plan, confused.
Thanos was holding back in Infinity War. He wanted death to be a last resort and only if it is necessary. In Endgame, he knew what would happen. To succeed, he would need to go full force. It was personal at this point.
Still doesn’t explain how he couldn’t overpower Thor when he attacked him in infinity war, yet in endgame Thor got his ass kicked. Thanos actually trying to kill them definitely does count towards it, but I like the theory that the stones were making thanos weaker the more that he used them,
The_SCP _Foundation he probably thought what he was doing could over power Thor’s storm breaker but realized it wasn’t then he just snapped but i PROMISE thanos is way more powerful with that gauntlet idc if your a 80 year old women if you have that gauntlet your capable of killing everyone if you wanted to thanos was just trying to do little damage as possible because he was a little humanized after he had to sacrifice gamora so death meant more to him after besides the death in his goal he had to achieve

I find it funny that . Not buying into the argument. When for ten years black widow has been a badass and scarlet witch could have killed thanos alone if he wasn’t ruthless enough to reign fire on his own army. Scarlet witch is such a badass she managed to fuck with the avengers alone when she got in their heads to . Captain marvel could have been awesome if Emily blunt was cast. Still you can’t really complain this achievement is historically one of the best in cinema . MCU delivers and then some.
In IW, Thanos was more restrained. In EG, he had seen what had happened to him, including being first impaled, then beheaded, by Thor, and what had happened with the remaining half of the Avengers, as they gathered the stones again to undue his genocide-snap. Seeing that, he became more aggressive, and committed to the fight - which led to him using his armor and weapons - both of which made him fight more effectively.
As I read it once, Thanos wanted to remain pacifist up until the snap, so that the snap itself could decide who lives and who dies. That's how I'd want it. But in Endgame, there was a bit of a youth factor, and also that he wasn't so pacifistic, and was ready and willing to kill the Avengers to get his way. Back then, he was on a quest, now he's on a warpath.
I mean, the youth factor doesn't really apply since he was four years younger than Infinity War one. And he's somewhere around 3000 years old. It's just that in Infinity War it's what you said, but the past Thanos is pissed cuz people undid what he did. And for that he said, fuck it, i'm gonna recreate the universe so they didn't know what happened. And so he's determined to kill. If he would've properly used the stones, he would've murdered the Avengers almost instantly, and then snapped. Conclusion: he wasn't stronger in Endgame, just more determined to kill.
Here is the reason: In Infinity war, He only aimed to wipe out half the universe, It only means that his not serious and whoever stands in his way, He would rather talk to them about his purpose than fight, In Endgame, seeing the future that the people would be ungrateful if he were to wipe out only half the universe, Which changed his plan to wipe out all life and the same time killing the Avengers seriously to avenge his original future self
HellFire TobyGaming no thanos says to the avengers that he is going to create another life form and wipe half of them out because they will know what they have not what they have lost
Legend 2545 no he said he’d destroy this entire universe and create a new one where the population doesn’t know what they lost, only what they have been given.
well also it has been said, not in the video, that thanos was holding back and trying not to kill unnecessarily. After he sees his future self being killed, he realises the threat of the avengers and instead of trying to kill half the universe he tries to replace and rebuild it.
It was even said in the movie. The fight in Infinity war wasn't personal. The only Avenger that Thanos actually considered killing was Tony, everyone else he was either impartial to or slightly impressed with. But Endgame. Endgame was personal. He went to the Avengers in full armor ready to fight. He was out to kill, not just get the stones. He wanted a fight to happen
In Infinity War, Thanos is like the boxer that has been winning the entire fight, and he knows all he needs to do is avoid getting knocked out. In End Game, the fight got turned around to where he's been losing the entire time, and he needs a knock out for him to win. I would say he would want to go guns blazing. Not to mention, he doesn't have the advantage of the infinity stones in End Game. He did in Infinity War. Even though he was physically weaker, he was overall more powerful in the Infinity War. I do think the infinity stones make him weaker. Just look at how weak he was after they found him on the planet. Look at how much it messed up Hulk after he put on the gauntlet. Granted, the Hulk in End Game was likely the weaker version modeled after Grey Hulk from the comics, but still. Thanos is likely much much stronger to where he doesn't show like it's weakening him, even though it is.
@@joemann7971 they make thanos weaker?!?! How tf?!? I mean its not like the stones are the most powerful fucking objects in the universe or anything 😐😐😐😐😐
Yeah double bladed sword is better than good for nothing gizmo gauntlet he had in Infinity War! Plus it felt like a kid trying out his new Joystick with his PC while he is a master keyboard gamer!
It’s simple IW- He was already winning, and he knew it. EG- He found out he died, and they took all the stones to reverse his master plan, and that he was gonna die if he didn’t do anything. It was personal so he gave it his all.
In Infinity war Thanos just didn't have to care about getting beat, because with the Stones he was the most powerful being in the univers. He didn't want to kill the heros in infinity war because he wanted to let the snap decide who gets to live and Not himself. In other words: in infinity war Thanos was holding back. In Endgame however he didn't. He wanted to kill everyone anyway so it wasn't important to him if he killed the avengers in the fight. In fact he wanted to kill them in the fight which wasn't the case in infinity war.
Because A. The Infinity gauntlet was already ready. B. He had a badass double-sided blade. HOLD UP!!! Thanos was left handed in Infinity war but right handed at the end of Endgame.
Gacha Master I don’t think so in the comic the infinity gauntlet in the books is left handed. It seems like tony is right handed and it’s his gauntlet I’m pretty sure the mad titan can snap with both hands
Thanos was also still in the process of learning how to use the stones in IW, that was all new to him opposed to his physical combat abilities which he was a master of.
"learning" lmao he should have studied the stones before coming to get them, he wouldn't know where or what the stones are at all, such an pointless explaination...
@@troll-rw3tb I'm talking about actually using them, particularly when he was fighting. I highly doubt he put them in the gauntlet and immediately mastered them.
How is this any different in Endgame? He literally dies. The thanos they face in Endgame isn't the same Thanos. Hell that Thanos never even got the infinity stones at that point.
In Infinity War Thanos was aware of the threats and was completely prepared for it, while in Endgame, Thanos had virtually no time for any preparation and therefore was completely unprepared for it, making him give all he had as he had no backup plan and it was now or never. Also the armor that Tony Stark was wearing in Infinity War (Mark 50) was far more powerful than the armor Stark wore in Endgame (Mark 85) which was made for just one purpose; To be durable enough to face the power of all the 6 infinity stones at once (Example: The Iron Gauntlet). Plus, in Infinity War, Thanos was much more focused on completing his goal rather than having a one on one with the Avengers. (He is at same strength, but the paths to the goals are different)

In Endgame, thanos didn't have to make any personal sacrifices ( killing his daughter Gamora for soul stone), hence he was very powerful in Endgame. It's obvious that he was fighting without any emotional burden in Endgame. Emotional burden does take toll. Because he was shown to be very unhappy with that decision. He loved his daughter too much.
Yeah, but to be honest, if I just killed my daughter for a stone, I would be using that burden and turning into unbridled rage that THIS is what i have to do to accomplish my goal. It would help make me unrestrained and out of control in my killing.

Well, the answer is kind of simple: In Infinity War, Thanos’s goal was to get all 6 stones, snap his fingers and kill half of life. That was his goal. He was not trying to murder anyone. He’d only harm/murder those that got in his way or could easily stop him, In Endgame, Thanos wanted to kill and destroy the universe and start a brand new one. He was pure evil and would harm anyone who was in his way, no matter the consequences.
I'm amazed about the people who are saying that Endgame Thanos is stronger cause he is younger.. really dudes? Younger? ten or fifty years do not affect at all these beings that are capable of living for thousands of years .. age had absolutely nothing to do with it
I’m not saying younger is the word to use but more bloodthirsty In infinity war you see him take off his armor, tired from war and conquest In endgame you see him covered in blood, basking in the glory of destroying another planet for his own goals, the effectiveness of a man during war vs one who hasn’t practiced it in some time is a major factor, thanos could still wipe each avenger sure, but as a coordinated group an almost retired thanos is no where as strong as an active general who leads by example
Omg 😮 Hasnt anyone listened to what the russo brothers said: thanos threshold was simply lower. that's what the pure aggression in avengers endgame looks like. in infinity there are also some scenes where he spares people, because he knows he wins. in endgame he knows that he has lost and is therefore much more aggressive. Incidentally, it was strangled by the russo brothers ..
SpotLion5000 so if the vibranium is the strongest weapon on earth that means thanos can beat ultron using the edge sword just imagine how he shattered captain America shield
8:00 Vibranium isn’t instructable, but it can only be destroyed by vibranium. And Thanos „Sword“ was out of vibranium. This the reason he could destroy Cap‘s shield
In infinity war his minset was different. He thought collecting the stones and snap will do the work, he did not need to kill his enemies personally. But in end game using Nebula's memory, he found out that his snap can be reversed and he also saw them cutting his head off. He know just snapping won't do the work if his enemies are alive thats why things got personal and he wanted to destroy his enemies so badly
short version: thanos was made weaker by the infinity stones "cosmic energy" although thanos barely used the full potential of the infinity stones until the snap because he would be scared he would damaged the stones/infinity gauntlet. The only time he went overboard before the snap, was hurling a moon of titan towards the avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Also, if thanos didn't rain fire when Scarlet Witch started destroying his weapons and armour, Thanos could have been easily beatan. His armour and sword is also believed to be made of Urdu, not some random metal we don't know about. Urdu is stronger then Vibranium. Saved you 10 minutes, you are welcome
Thanos sword is from uru it's the same metal like mjolnir but we saw that this isn't unbreakable like we thought for vibranium because Hela destroyed mjolnir and scarlet witch destroyed thanos sword
@@derg6222 That's because Mjolnir is not a penetration weapon like Thanos' sword. The sword has sharp edges which is why it cuts through the shield, where as Mjolnir a flat surface weapon only ricochet's off the shield.

infinity war was mostly about thanos. because core concept of the movie was about ''what if our mighty, developted and beloved heros finally/inevitably taste the loss?''. so in that the story mostly care about their characters and leaves a lot of job for the villain. which that pushed the story made thanos so soul crushingly good character but endgame is an avengers movie. and core concept was ''what happens after our heroes loss?''. it used symbolism and i've gotta say, it used it perfect. it was telling us a story of bunch of broken heroes whos facing with their pasts and failures and how they ''borned from their ashes''. that is why when we analysing both thanos, we shouldnt evaluate endgame thanos as a ''character''. no. endgame thanos was a symbol. avengers decited to face their past. that is why he literally came from the past as the worst / the most dangerous version of their biggest failure there is this parallel between both thanos they both started as a murderous monsters. even in infinity war we saw him doing such a terrible things; -tortured thor -killed heimdall in front of thor -killed loki in front of thor -slaughtered a whole dwarf society -took eitri's hands as insurance -sadistically played with the guardians by using reality stone -while waiting for them he destroyed knowhere and this shouldnt be so suprise tbh. after the loss of his planet he builded up a strong motivation to slaughtering planets, he did that like centuries and by following these events he builded up an attitude. he gained his killer instincts and its evetually became his second nature. when gamora claimed that he loves no one, she was almost right. because besides his love for gamora, thanos was pretty much an empty shell and gamora's death was the key role in thanos's development. once he rebember the pain of loss, he regain some of his humanity. he started to show more sympathy to humans and appreiate life's value. he showed respect to his enemies and avoid any unneessary kill. endgame thanos on the other hand developted in a complete opposite way. he saw his future, he saw his destiny fullfilled and also he saw no matter what he does universe always find a way to bring its own end. because in his own perspective people like the avengers, the people who cant accept the future and leave the past behind are the biggest problems of the universe(some irony huh?). in a way, endgame thanos was a man who has lost all his hopes. and avengers was the one who took it from him. he dragged into the madness by that(more that the usual) and believed, if even fullfilling the destiny doesnt prevent the universe's doom, then he has to stop obey the destiny and rewrite it. so he evolved into a much more brutal thanos to re-create the universe by believing it need his brutality to over come the ungratefullness that prevents its thrive.
More detailed version In Infinity war he did not want over population because they are losing resources and he dont seek violence but if violence come to him he did do self defence In endgame he was seeking the stones then well they bring violence to him but you know
@@adamstephens8220 well not all of them mainly iron man Thor and captain America and scarlett witch he didn't even know who she was therefore he didn't know how powerful she was
It also possible that in infinity war Thanos didn’t go all out with the stones cause he was worried too much power would destroy the gauntlet, which he didn’t want happening before he wiped out half the universe...also in infinity war Thanos was simply fighting to get the stones and everyone was just a distraction...in endgame he wanted to fight and was more focused on the fight
It was an attitude switch; in Infinity War, he felt like he'd already won and believed there was no one who could legitimately challenge him, so while fighting the Avengers he was toying with them just to show off how little a chance they had, whereas in Endgame he saw Nebula's memories of the Avengers winning and killing him, so he saw them as a legitimate threat and went all-out in battle against them, holding nothing back. This extends to him using his armor and weapons in Endgame, that was again an example of him not holding back and using all available tools at his disposal to wreck face at full power instead of dropping his weapons and going "I could beat you in my underwear" like he did in Infinity War; all in all the vibe I got was that it was a mental change, not a physical one. also the reason Thanos could be held down by the Avengers, Guardians and Steven Strange was because it was like, what, 7ish vs 1? Being outnumbered means you're constantly being outmaneuvered and can't bring all your strength to bear against a single target; I've noticed this a lot in sparring with kids with toy lightsabers, I could easily outmatch them one on one, but when I let them team up on me, it's exponentially harder to defend even though their individual skill isn't much to speak of... after all the others fell and it was just Thanos vs Iron Man, we saw Thanos take him apart with brutal efficiency to the point Dr Strange had to barter for Tony's life, so no, Thanos wasn't weak, he was just holding back out of pride.
I also think he was holding back due to the fact that he wanted to leave it to the snap process to decide who lives and dies. That nearly cost him his victory, if only Starlord wasn't a complete idiot.
3:35 look at all of the times Thanos got a new Infinity Stone. The scene in which he did so were always the color of the stone he out in. I dont know if it the stones but that's a cool little detail.
In avengers infinity war, Thanos seemed weaker because he wasn’t trying to kill any of the avengers because he was only on his quest for universal balance. In endgame, he was still on his warlord conquest and set on controlling the universe

If you dont wanna watch the entire video here:
*In Infinity War:* Older Thanos, has one goal of bringing balance, his target isnt to kill the Avengers unless they are a threat. He was more calm and delicated to his goal. (You can see he was playing with them and wasn't really fighting unless he really needed to.)
*In Endgame:* Younger Thanos, has a goal of just killing everyone and destroying planet by planet and therefore he was more aggressive and since he was younger - he was faster and stronger.

Thanos was younger is a stupid theory.
0,001% He had unlimited time to prepare in endgame. He might have spend years getting more powerful
John Smith Agreed. It’s just four years.
Four years younder you dumb fuck
Obviously it was just this simple he was holding back the entire movie so he could do the snap
In Infinity War, Thanos is the main character. In end game, Thanos is villains.
Here is the reason: In Infinity war, He only aimed to wipe out half the universe, It only means that his not serious and whoever stands in his way, He would rather talk to them about his purpose than fight,
In Endgame, seeing the future that the people would be ungrateful if he were to wipe out only half the universe, Which changed his plan to wipe out all life and the same time killing the Avengers seriously to avenge his original future self

How???
Ahh a “because wielding infinity stones puts a toll on your body -“makes you weaker” and thanos had majority ‘soon to be all’ of them.”
well also it has been said, not in the video, that thanos was holding back and trying not to kill unnecessarily.
He respected Tony
Correction: Thanos HAD to kill Tony, there was no stopping him(Tony)
If iw thanos had the mentality as Endgame one he would have every one on titan including stark and strange

Well, the answer is kind of simple:
In Infinity War, Thanos’s goal was to get all 6 stones, snap his fingers and kill half of life. That was his goal. He was not trying to murder anyone. He’d only harm/murder those that got in his way or could easily stop him,
In Endgame, Thanos wanted to kill and destroy the universe and start a brand new one. He was pure evil and would harm anyone who was in his way, no matter the consequences.

I like your profile picture.
infinity war was mostly about thanos. because core concept of the movie was about ''what if our mighty, developted and beloved heros finally/inevitably taste the loss?''. so in that the story mostly care about their characters and leaves a lot of job for the villain. which that pushed the story made thanos so soul crushingly good character
but endgame is an avengers movie. and core concept was ''what happens after our heroes loss?''. it used symbolism and i've gotta say, it used it perfect. it was telling us a story of bunch of broken heroes whos facing with their pasts and failures and how they ''borned from their ashes''.
that is why when we analysing both thanos, we shouldnt evaluate endgame thanos as a ''character''. no. endgame thanos was a symbol. avengers decited to face their past. that is why he literally came from the past as the worst / the most dangerous version of their biggest failure
there is this parallel between both thanos they both started as a murderous monsters. even in infinity war we saw him doing such a terrible things;
-tortured thor
-killed heimdall in front of thor
-killed loki in front of thor
-slaughtered a whole dwarf society
-took eitri's hands as insurance
-sadistically played with the guardians by using reality stone
-while waiting for them he destroyed knowhere
and this shouldnt be so suprise tbh. after the loss of his planet he builded up a strong motivation to slaughtering planets, he did that like centuries and by following these events he builded up an attitude. he gained his killer instincts and its evetually became his second nature. when gamora claimed that he loves no one, she was almost right. because besides his love for gamora, thanos was pretty much an empty shell
and gamora's death was the key role in thanos's development. once he rebember the pain of loss, he regain some of his humanity. he started to show more sympathy to humans and appreiate life's value. he showed respect to his enemies and avoid any unneessary kill.
endgame thanos on the other hand developted in a complete opposite way. he saw his future, he saw his destiny fullfilled and also he saw no matter what he does universe always find a way to bring its own end.
because in his own perspective people like the avengers, the people who cant accept the future and leave the past behind are the biggest problems of the universe(some irony huh?). in a way, endgame thanos was a man who has lost all his hopes. and avengers was the one who took it from him.
he dragged into the madness by that(more that the usual) and believed, if even fullfilling the destiny doesnt prevent the universe's doom, then he has to stop obey the destiny and rewrite it. so he evolved into a much more brutal thanos to re-create the universe by believing it need his brutality to over come the ungratefullness that prevents its thrive.
This is an incredible analysis of the movies and characters!

I think it’s because Endgame was longer and he was holding in his pee so he didn’t miss anything
Underrated comment lmao
@Mitchell B you are not funny
Simple. In infinity War he didn’t want to kill anyone, he just wanted the infinity stones and in Avengers: Endgame he wanted to kill them
More detailed version
In Infinity war he did not want over population because they are losing resources and he dont seek violence but if violence come to him he did do self defence
In endgame he was seeking the stones then well they bring violence to him but you know
@@Bald_Fred he is just getting people out of the way to get the stones.
But in endgame he will kill them all.
@@adamstephens8220 well not all of them mainly iron man Thor and captain America and scarlett witch he didn't even know who she was therefore he didn't know how powerful she was
Because he was pissed off watching thor beheading him
It also possible that in infinity war Thanos didn’t go all out with the stones cause he was worried too much power would destroy the gauntlet, which he didn’t want happening before he wiped out half the universe...also in infinity war Thanos was simply fighting to get the stones and everyone was just a distraction...in endgame he wanted to fight and was more focused on the fight
Thanos: goes for all six stones

This is your best theory. good job!
That "sword" was a glave and those are EXTREMELY POWERFUL WEAPONS
Infinity War = 1st quarter
End Game = final 2 mins of the game, he breaking ankles and going for 3pts from downtown
@@molin1310 Yea pretty much
3:35 look at all of the times Thanos got a new Infinity Stone.

Yes because they I mean marvel were afraid thats thanos even with the infinity stones don't reach 5% of the power of the character wich he originally created of (Dark Side) have and they were afraid if the DCU would comes back stronger with a movie features the most popular DC comics felon Dark Side wich the creators of characters in marvel stole like the many other characters they stole from DC
@@amw7007 The problem with Darkseid is too powerful...that to write him as meaningful villain is very difficult...marvel knows this and they keep their characters weak...neither Thor nor Hulk os in their full potential...
