- Whether you’re a hero or a villain in the MCU, it seems like everyone wants more power for different reasons. If you’re a villain, you seek power to either destroy your enemies, wipe out the universe and remake it in your own image, or just feed your ego. If you’re a hero, you generally seek power in order to fix problems or save the day. At least, that’s how it should be. WIth everyone usually after some version of power, the question becomes, just who is the most powerful character in the MCU? That’s a tricky one to answer, especially since power is such a relative term. Is the most powerful character the one who can punch things the hardest? Or is it the one who can think his way out of any problem? Now that’s a tough dilemma.
Today’s video is all about the most powerful characters in the MCU and I’ll attempt to rank them from least powerful to most powerful. Now, I understand a list like this is subjective and there’s a lot of entries and placement you’ll probably agree with, and some you’ll disagree with. That’s the way it always goes right? Like I think Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful beings in the entire universe, but is she better at magic than Doctor Strange? I think Ant-Man actually is underrated in terms of power, but will you agree with where I placed him? Although Vision should be near the top of the list, his showings in the MCU have been a bit lackluster and that’s hurt him in the standings don’t you think? All of this will be discussed in the video today!

Also, why does everyone forget about Hela? Thor post Ragnarok (and probably even with Stormbreaker in IW) could not beat her. I think she could have annihilated Thanos without any stones, and it would be a spectacle to watch Hela vs. Thanos with 5 or 6 Infinity Stones. And for that matter, Surtur+Eternal Flame has to be up at the Celestial level

i fully believe the reason thanos enacted his plan so late was because odin and hela was still alive, with them taken care of there's no one he knows of that could seriously stop him by themselves

You can't put Ant-Man that high based purely on potential and put the Eternals that low because they haven't showcased enough. The Eternals' powers is literally an extension of the Celestials. There's no greater potential than that lol and if we're going with potential, then Mantis deserves to be on this list, but near the bottom. She held off Ego and Thanos. If she masters her skills, she could be a formidable force in the MCU. Also, Ultron top of list but Vision, who easily erased Ultron, is lower. 🤔 Top 3 heroes (imo) are Wanda, Strange and Danvers.

The most heartbreaking thing currently running down in the MCU is watching the current version of Hulk who everytime gets nerfed.
I know Spider-Man wouldn’t be able to beat the eternals or vision, but I do know that he is one of the stronger hero’s. The fact the Spider-Man is “supposedly” holding back all of his punches nerfs him already. I imagine as Spider-Man comes out with more movies we could see him develops as a character and become stronger within himself

The Hulk is my favorite Marvel character, but the way this MCU version was portrayed make him seem a little too high on this list. The savage version of the Hulk definitely seems more powerful than the smart Hulk. The first Avengers movie gave me the impression that The Hulk was the most powerful even over Thor, but after that there were 3 times that started showing a drop off of Hulk’s superiority. First when he got knocked out by the Hulkbuster armor, but it could be argued that he was calming down from shaking off the mind control thing and it was a sucker punch. The second was his fight with awakened Thor were it looked like Thor’s lightning punch rocked him, but he did stand up to continue fighting before interference of the Grandmaster. Third was his awful showing against Thanos, which unfortunately was just used to show how powerful Thanos was. So he had one situational defeat, one inconclusive fight but seemed to be loosing, and one just absolute beat down just to establish another characters power level. If written like in the comics then yeah this ranking would seem okay but the MCU Hulk has been down played over time.

@@RatedRY Spidey has lifted way more than 10 tons in the comics (and in the MCU). It sorta depends on who’s writing it since any character’s abilities and limits are proportionate to the writer’s objective and what situation they are being put in. But with all due thought and taking all of his feats into account (EVEN MCU FEATS), Spider-Man has lifted way more than 10 tons. And since Venom is depicted as an equal if not more brute than Spidey, than he can have the same type of power level if not more. People often forget how strong Spidey, Venom, and Loki are just to put it short.
In The Amazing Spider-Man Issue #365, The Lizard collapsed an entire train station on Spidey’s back. It went through a line of writing saying that Thor couldn’t do it or even the Hulk (which is obviously not true but the writer was trying to convey a much larger tension for the situation, and obviously who knows, maybe they were hinting at Peter’s potential that he has yet to tap into.) Additionally taking that into account, Stan Lee’s main objective for Peter was for him to become apart of the heavy hitters if not stronger (Hulk, Thor, Iron-Man) but too many issues with writers and continuous inconsistencies have made people forget how strong Pete really is. Daredevil mentions something among the lines of when he hears Spider-Man’s muscles coil, its pure power and Peter doesn’t even know it.
The most powerful beings in the MCU have got to be either Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, or Thanos.

He could've swatted Cap. He was perplexed by Caps resolve knowing he is a man that has a strong will and morality that he may think rivals his own. Yes "will" is one of Caps powers. Instead to him and enhanced by the serum. Thanos in the MCU isn't motivated by his boner as he is in the comics, but a righteous resolve that is a core belief that guides all he does.
Can you imagine Steve Rogers getting a Green Lantern ring? He would be absolutely OP.

Vision is up for discussion also due to him being made out a vibranium and with the introduction of white vision he can survive without the mind stone so he has no weaknesses

I don't completely agree with your list but I give you serious points for changing up the norm and popular opinion.
Those who are wondering why some characters are missing, like Ego is part of Celestial. Hela's fate is in unconfirmed so they didn't included her. And odin and ancient one are dead. Thanos and Ultron on the other can be consider having a deep impact that's why they were considered. Rest you all know.

@@sohaibmalik6846 They have to be consistent though... Hela had a pretty drastic impact for Thor and Loki as it let to the destruction of Asgard. So the idea some are included for impact while still being dead but they omit others for being dead is poor reasoning.

I feel like a list like this is too hard to make as different characters have different strengths and weaknesses.

If ant-man made it to that list based on what happened in the what if series then Loki should be on top of the list cuz he was the only one that was able to stop Hank Pym’s ant-man and he did it without Breaking a sweat when hulk and the other avengers didn’t even stand a chance.

The ancient one harvested power frim the dark dimension, she was shocked that caicillius was able to use the power outside the mirror dimension(which to me says she doesn’t know how to use that level of power) but she also knows how to navigate the mirror dimension at will, odin really just had the Odin power which isn’t really shown in the movies at all, but I believe the Odin power allows access to the bifrost at will, but we don’t know because he was always holding his staff when he used it. Odin without staff vs ancient one without mirror dimension and sling ring, just themselves, would be an interesting debate I’d give edge to the all father, but we don’t know the movie extent to their powers.

Adam Warlock hasn’t actually been showcased in any of the films yet but when he is he’ll definitely be on here, and Kane isn’t exactly a main character which is probably why he wasn’t included on the list

For all that hype, Eternals were not upto the mark according to me. There are many heroes in the MCU who are/were stronger, faster or overall more skillfull than any of the Eternals.
This is why I stoped watching you for almost a month (although I still kinda like your battle vids)

Vision is actually the most powerful avenger. The only reason we didn't see him do anything to anyone is plotarmor. Otherwise he would be literally invincible. Seriously, you can't hit him, he is super smart and fast and he posesses THE TWO MOST POWERFUL ATTACKS out of all of the Avengers.

Hela, Odin, Ancient one, Kang (I know we don't know about his powers yet), Ronin, Cpt America all were missing but yes I can agree we it would've been disputable
He Who Remains should be one he used has the best statements and pretty impressive feats such as winning the multiversal war, weaponizing Alioth, manipulating variants of countless people, purging an aspect of the living tribunal, likely killing a version of Thanos, burned other kangs outside of time, and planned everything that transpired within the MCU.
TLDR: He Who Remains planned and managed the entire MCU original phase including allowing Thanos actions and allowed the avengers to time travel.

Cool vid but, in the Avengers Thor is the Strongest and the most Powerful of the Avengers....Thor is the Only hero that almost killed Thanos(Iron Man killed Thanos because he used the Infinity Stones) Thor is Rank 1 in Avengers (Strongest and Powerful)

There are way more powerful marvel heros in the comics, for example venom who bonded with every multiverse being which gave him powers to destroy planets with the swipe of his hand and the ability to create another universe.
The reason vision seems like hes nerfed is because he is way too op. Like you said he would just slice thanos in half. Hes basically doctor strange in endgame when they occupied him with the task of holding the water in place otherwise he woulda just ended the frickin fight by turning everybody into sausages. Vision should be higher because he is basically a super powered ultron.
Well we are going by how the character has been portrayed and I'd say vision is at a pretty decent spot. But hulk and ultron is a bit too high in my opinion.
I feel like Tony should be higher. At the height of his tech and power, he could hold his own against thanos and invented time travel. Maybe time travel isn’t the most important in combat, it still gives him an advantage. He also created Jarvis, an AI that could hold his own against ultron.

Odin: no feats. Surtur: buffed by eternal flame. I’m assuming this video means there base forms as thanos with all the stones is far above everyone besides dormammu. ancient one: more of a side character and this is based on main heroes/villains. Ronin: again just assuming this is based on base forms of the characters. Ego: should 100% be on this list and ahead of thor but behind strange. Hela: should 100% be on the list and ahead of base thanos but behind Wanda

Scarlet Witch is a glass cannon, a glass cannon refers to a character that has remarkable offensive abilities with terrible defense. Wanda’s powers are far beyond than most but at the same time she can be killed by just a random civilian with a gun.
sometimes the best defense is the best offense. She could just rip the gun out of everyone's freaking hands before they can react

Wanda is a glass Cannon. She has incredible offense but a terrible defense unlike strange and captain marvel. Strange has a protection spell while captain marvels powers both help her offensively and defensively. Your only ranking them by offense and not defense.
This is a decent list to be honest, I think people are forgetting that this is solely based on the films/series portrayals of the characters and not the comic book versions.

@@garvitkumar1396 in the MCU I’d argue both characters haven’t hit their ceiling yet but I’d say the explanations for why Thor and Hulk are where they are on this list, are both acceptable and I can agree with it to be honest.

Vision has definitely been nerfed since the Russo brothers took over, otherwise we'd have superman 2.0 from the dceu on our hands.
Vision should be basically unkillable, only known thing is Wandas power or something else of such high power such as captain marvel or Thor.
I'm not including the glaieve corvus used to stab him as that is a convenient plot nerf. Corvus's glaieve is made from Uru, or at least a very similar metal to both Thor's hammer and thanos' sword.
If that's the case Vision should have had no issue phasing through it as he phased through Thor's hammer in AoU.

Shang Chi has to be on this list. Firstly because he is the master of Kung Fu, so he can easily fight anyone pure of strength and skill. And secondly (obviously) the ten rings, that can make him literally immortal.
By feats alone and potential grow Shang chi must be higher than Spider-Man even if he is quicker and more agile!!

Ultron is too high, both Post-Ragnarok Thor (and even more so if he also has Stormbreaker) and Doctor Strange can beat him on their own.
