I have the Danby branded version of this exact thing. Hooked it up yesterday. An important consideration is whether my "solar generator" can run it. Yes, it can! This unit has a soft start feature that ramps up the fan speed and compressor speed. It reached about a kilowatt of power consumption after a minute or so. It also does not dim the lights as it cycles on and off; this one doesn't seem to cycle at all; just ramps up and down the compressor barely noticeable. The dual host configuration made a big difference, more than I anticipated. By NOT pulling in warm outside air the room stays cooler even when the unit is off. The one it replaced, a single host 12000 BTU, would pull in so much warm air that it was nearly ineffective except in its immediate vicinity. So, I am very happy. Inverter technology CAN fail abruptly more often than simple electric motor technology but overall I am delighted with it.
I have a small 12,000btu portable unit like that for my sunroom in Florida. It also is a handy backup unit than can run off a small generator if needed. Won’t cool a whole house but cools my whole downstairs just fine while running off a single Honda eu2000i. In the South AC is pretty critical so it’s certainly handy. Also can roll it in the garage when working on the car.
AC really is amazing. I have gotten so many POS this summer. I will NOT show them. I thought this would be another and after 30 minutes I was like WOW! Somebody got it right!
Inverter units are the only way to go, when you can get one. I swapped out a 10K BTU Crosley/Whirlpool window unit this summer for a 12K BTU Inverter-based Midea unit. It was under $350 from Costco. Not only is it MUCH quieter, it's saving me about $35 a month in electricity costs. Crazy!!
Interestingly, the remote CS shows for this portable unit is basically identical to the one for my Midea window unit. It makes me wonder just how many (or few) manufacturers are even building these things, although, it's also possible the remotes are simply from a separate OEM and share a common lineage.
I completely agree. Midea makes something like 95% of the worlds air condtiioners and 70% of those are labelled for someone else. This one is interesting since Midea doesn't even sell it themselves under thier name, this feels like a portable version of their very famouse u-shaped model which is amazing. I am currently cooling my entire downstairs with the 12k model shown and the Midea window Ushaper 12k.
@@SilverCymbal Thanks for the reply. I have the "normal" window unit (non-U shaped) and I wish I could've gotten it a decade ago! It will literally pay for itself in about 2.5 cooling seasons.
This is made by Midea. They also have the same one branded with the Toshiba name as well. I bought mine at Wal-Mart a few months ago as a refurbished model for $419. I've been using it to cool a 2000SF...yes, 2,000 SF area in Colorado and it performs perfectly even at temps in the mid 90's. Keep in mind this is a well insulated home with 2x6 construction and most windows blocked from direct sunlight entry. This unit puts out a LOT of ice cold air! The Toshiba model (and also the Midea) also has a heat pump function which I'll be testing in about a month. I did test it one cool July night at 50F and it heated the room very fast. The inverter feature is awesome. I have this plugged into my Kill-A-Watt and I routinely measure readings of 300-700 watts while it's cooling. Long story short? An amazing amount of cooling for very little electricity!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I now know which one to watch out for when inevitable winter sale comes! Also 12k BTU unit appears to be A/C only, it's the 14k BTU unit that has the heat pump function.
Nice, I finally picked up a portable A/C unit, a Danby dual hose, 12,000BTU. I tooks identical, other than matte black vs. white, so not sure whose is a rebrand. Or both are a rebrand of another. "Danby DPA120CBIMBDB-6 12,000 BTU SACC 3-in-1 Portable AC with Inverter, Remote Control & Wi-Fi - Matte Finish" Was $549Cdn at Costco. Only had it a week and is great. Only thing is I think the large apartment windows (24'x6' glass wall, facing SE) are affecting its monitoring of room temperature and is always running. I'll likely use the Danby app to have a schedule for some on 1hr/off 1hr periods.
This is very neat. Plan on running one of these for the garage or for upstairs. Off from a solar array will be great. Great video on the review. Keep up the great work that is being done pal.
@@stevenbatke2475 because it is. Midea makes their Duo portable unit for many different companies. Midea, Danby, Dreo, Toshiba, and Whynter to name a few.

In 2014 I rented a room in a house with casement windows and no AC, so I had to buy a $300 portable AC unit from Lowes. It had all the problems that you mentioned, and more. After a few years of misery, I just took out the casement window and framed a window unit in place.
Right, all portables are shoddy bandaids to the real problem of landlords who buy literal garbage houses knowing full well that the tenant will be the one shafted with utility bills. They prefer it, even... because it keeps renters poor and ensures they won't be able to buy their own house that they can insulate. Then there are renters like us... who do functional, up-to-code improvements for the time we're renting, keeping all original parts so that when we buy our houses with the $600 a month we saved not having to run sixteen single hose portables, we'll just slap the shitbox back together with that crap that was there and take the improvements to our new house. And the landlords aren't even smart enough to know which of their "investment proporties" had which fittings, so they wouldn't even know when do change something to improve our use of the space that we pay to have full, complete and unfettered access to use and be comfortable in. lol
This unit stopped self evaporating for me after 3 months. I suspect the motor that pumps water from the condensate drain pan over the hot coils failed. It would collect enough water to generate the P1 code in like 45 mins of running. Very frustrating to lug a 70-80lb machine for return
I think there was an early version of this machine. I never used any drain but only operated it as ACs and these were the best acs I have ever tested for a portable. I would write them and try to just get them to send you a replacement or write them through Amazon.
I'm not sure if you have stated if the condensation is "misted" into the exhaust tubing so you don't have to drain condensation pan? Does it have wifi? I feel like anything you buy needs the IOT so that you can monitor to see if there is an issue...
Another EXCELLENT Review!! Thank you! I've considered a portable AC unit for smallish office at work. Unfortunately, no windows what so ever. And no interest from the company to work something out. Guess I'll continue directing cooler air from the hallway with a fan. All the same, very impressed with this unit.
I've had a duel hose (Two separate hoses) portable AC for 10 years. Works great no problems. It's a energy hog, so I'm looking to upgrade. So long as you go for the most powerful (BTU) regardless of need, I think these will satisfy.
i find it funnny. that intakle is just pulling in the hot air from the exhaust thats blowing out. my hoses are separate and further apart on the window to prevent this.
My central air went bad. I removed the HVAC unit. Everything got capped off. I use a Hisense portable air conditioner. It's the largest one they make. Mine only stretches out 3 feet. My old Hisense went bad. The older hose actually fits inside the new hose. That insulates the tube so it doesn't get warm. I have a window fan in the kitchen drawing air out. This prevents house vacuum. 2 of these units will cool my whole house. 🐀🐾
Re your DB test, to be fair you had it sitting on the other side of a couch on an acoustically absorbent material. A hand held reading with no instructions from 4, 8 and 12’ away would be an easy test to do.
Looked at the entire Amazon ad, and opened the 2 PDF attachments. The most info your get is "Energy Star 5 Star". That doesn't tell you squat! This is 2022, the Yellow Tag is mandatory. I refuse to buy a product without this info. Hats off to Randy BoBandy, who posted the info below; EER of 8.5 which is pathetic! My 8K Media is 15.0, the best out there for a window unit! (Silver has one of these also as I recall.) Further on Amazon, they actually try to bundle a single hose extension, which will not work with this unit. They also try to bundle a sliding door kit...same issue, this custom "hose within a hose" will not fit! Buyer beware! Great review on the positive aspects of this unit, Silver.
That's a nice AC. However I have a Haier (black and silver) dual hose that's 14,500 btu. It also reads 40 decibels (38 from about the same distance you were at) has a remote with all the features like yours but no led screen. I paid $400 for mine 3 years ago Point is, if you look around, you can always find one better (sometimes)
Man I REALLY wanted to go with this one, but at $659.99 PLUS tax on Amazon (current price) it was just a bit too expensive with all the other things I have going on right now.... So I settled on one of the "compact" Honeywell units (9,100 BTU) for about half that price & hopefully it will hold me over for now lol. The room I'm using it in is only about 135 square feet, so I'm thinking it hopefully should be more than enough to keep this ONE room cool w/o having to run it at full blast 24/7. Hopefully can come back & grab THIS model in the near future though because I really wanted that dual hose AND inverter, & the Honeywell has neither smh lol.
It looks like they ran out, the next best model available is: amzn.to/3pTiw31 Extremely powerful. I will be reviewing this in the next two weeks bu so far its amazing. Midea is the company behind both models so it's not surprising that it works similar.
@@SilverCymbal Looking forward to it! Hate that I wasn't able to grab it, but my Honeywell is thankfully holding up pretty good so far. I'm in Phoenix & I'd be in bad shape rn without it lol 🥵 high of 118 3 days this week. Brutal
I love these dual hose, a lot of power and very cold air, but my house, a new build, does not support 12 amps or higher and kept tripping the breaker over and over, so I had to return my dual hose portable AC to home depot for a 5000 BTU that wouldn't keep tripping the breaker.
A small correction - you say it has "a hose the pulls air out of the house and another that pulls air in". That's not right because the air doesn't come out of the house, air comes from the outside, through the unit where heat is added or removed depending on the heat/cool mode and then heat is transferred via a heat exchanger and the air goes back outside. So your inside and outside air never mix thus technically the air never come "out of the house".
Almost 4 weeks having this and I have the filter light on so I rinse the filter off and can't figure out how to reset it (filter didn't even look that dirty.) Won't cool since the filter light is on.
I don't get why, if you're going to have a super gigantic AC outlet plug , you can't include a grounded outlet in the plug to try to reclaim the second outlet for a lamp or something lower powered, rather than having to unplug that AC unit if you need to use that outlet for something low powered..
A new one available in July of 2024, sounds amazing, could you review it? It's only 300.00 and claims 16,000 BTU's and decibal sound level down to 35, (I know sounds ridicoulous)
In Asia inverter-controlled appliances have been very common for a decade or so. AC, fridge, laundry, oven, microwave, fans, even rice cookers are inverter controlled. I guess the energy price hike finally got the US market interested in conserving energy.
You guys have been way ahead of us for ages. I knew a girl from thailand decades ago that asked why our AC was in the floor and didn't the vents get filthy. She was right on both counts, and she told me about mini-splits and that they are the norm there now decades later we are catching up to that and now the same with inverters. Not sure why it takes us so long.
Roughly how many degrees can it cool a small bedroom if it's 100F outside? The last 3 summers have been brutal. 105-110F almost every day for months. The current AC unit I have can only make about a 20 degree difference.
Excellent job on this one. Any idea how much energy it uses? I couldn't find anything related to seer on the link you posted. Maybe hook it up to a killavolt meter and let us know kw per hour. Thanks!
Thank you it was a really nice AC. Its 1200 watts but keep in midn that is at maximum and will decrease as demand drops unlike non-inverter models that are constant.
This unit is infinitely variable, and runs between 190 and 1300 watts with the compressor running, if my toshiba (same unit) is anything to go by. The warmer it gets, the harder it will work.
Do they drain water out of the back our how do you get rid of the water I see a plug but then it also says it evaporates it please just bought one coming Saturday lobe the review….
I thought that double hose thing was BS because the air outside is usually hotter and more humid than the air inside, but today, it was pulling my bedroom door open, and sucking air down from the attic. I wish I had gotten the dual hose first, but they seem like larger BTUs, and I only need 5000-6000.
With these P-AC's ALWAYS get more than you think you need. When they measure BTUs it's a controlled test under unrealistic circumstances. This is especially true for portable ACs.
I'm trying to understand the setup of this - - so this is actually a dual unit setup - - the two units operate in tandem?? Or is the poster just showing two different models of the DREO system?
That is correct, only exception is if you use it for only dehumidification. AC, you never touch it, mines been running for 2 months now, no draining, none of that. amzn.to/3R8r1jl
I see that the new link goes to the Whynter. Is that supposed to be the same unit you are recommending in this video? I wasn't sure because I see that Dreo's are still being sold on Amazon too.
I currently vent a Hisense portable AC out of a 6” exhaust I cut in the wall of my garage. Do you think it would kill the efficiency of this AC if I were to vent the exhaust out my 6” port but leave the intake inside? I think I know the answer already, but I’m desperately looking for any solution that will cool the 450 sq ft in the Texas heat.
The inverter doesnt save much power. A non-inverter uses more electricity when running, but it stops and starts as needed. An inverter will slow down and run all the time. Both use the same amount of power over a given time period such as an 8 hour day. The power savings of this model come from it being a dual hose design.
Can someone comment on these dual hose portable AC compared to window units of the same BTU/power? Portable units makes the most sense with my location (lots of horizontal windows/sliding doors). I’ve tried old single hose portable units and they are TERRIBLE.
A window unit is always going to be more efficient than these portables. But, depending on your location (HOA's and Apartment management) a window unit may not be feasible. Currently this unit (made by Midea and sold under many different brands including Toshiba) is the most efficient portable made to date. You can check for yourself a comparable window unit and portable with the same BTU sacc rating and look at their wattage. This unit will use 1200 watts at full power while a comparable window unit will probably use closer to 850 watts. And yes the single hose units are awful, they cool the immediate room for sure, but draw in hot air from outside through every crack possible because of the negative pressure they create. If you're in the US with a costco nearby they are selling these units on sale until early july (The Midea Duo) for $450. One more thing, if you buy one. Make sure you dont plug it in right away, let it sit for a few hours up right so the oil in the compressor has time to go back to the bottom where it needs to be. So many people plug them in right away after putting them on its side in the car and wonder why its running so loud/rough.
@@willydilly9020 I’ve seen the portable dual hose units at Costco and I think I’m going to purchase on of the Danby 10k BTU units. I don’t have the Midea Duo available locally. I do live in an HOA and I also don’t have lift up windows for easy installation. Even with a portable unit, I’ll have to fabricate an adapter for some of my larger windows or sliding doors where I’ll be using it. I’ll also be tossing my single hose AC lol. Thank you so much for your in depth response!
I modified a single-hose unit I got from Costco to be dual-hose with some duct from Home Depot, it’s ugly af and the cardboard casement window adapter I made doesn’t look too great either, but it works great. I even designed and 3D printed a quick disconnect for the second duct to make storage easier.
Some questions I thought of if an owner of one would kind enough to answer 1. Do you guys think you would be able to sleep with this ~10 ft away from your head in a bed? 2. Any idea of how many decibels this is in sleep mode? 3. I'm assuming by "full blast," the 46 db in the video is on the highest fan setting? It advertises 42 db, but that wasn't the case. 4. Does the fan turn off when the room is down to temp? (Dead silent?) Thank you
100% perfect for a bedroom. My kids each have one in their rooms, These are as close to near silent as it gets. The ramp up and down very slowly but can run at super low speeds if the room is gettin cooler. I would buy this unit without hesitation and return it if you don't 100% love it. @@SilverCymbal Thanks for the reply. I have the "normal" window unit (non-U shaped) and I wish I could've gotten it a decade ago! It will literally pay for itself in about 2.5 cooling seasons.
@@SilverCymbal Midea does sell this unit under their name, they call it the Midea Duo.
I purchased a Danby branded version of this exact unit.
Ive been mulling over my choices for days, while completely ignoring this brand because I never heard of it. Gonna buy one. Thanks!
I can tell you a year later I am excited to use these again, super super low noise, great cooling. Dual hose, such a great one! amzn.to/42gg8RA
Hello. I am so glad you did a review on this. This kind of air conditioner is something we have been looking for.
"Danby DPA120CBIMBDB-6 12,000 BTU SACC 3-in-1 Portable AC with Inverter, Remote Control & Wi-Fi - Matte Finish"
Was $549Cdn at Costco.
Only had it a week and is great. Only thing is I think the large apartment windows (24'x6' glass wall, facing SE) are affecting its monitoring of room temperature and is always running. I'll likely use the Danby app to have a schedule for some on 1hr/off 1hr periods.
You have the greatest videos. I look forward to them. Thanks.
I appreciate that! Thank you
This is very neat. Plan on running one of these for the garage or for upstairs. Off from a solar array will be great. Great video on the review. Keep up the great work that is being done pal.
Maybe planning to get one too, how is it been so far?
It would have been nice to hook this up to a kill-a-watt to see the difference between the two.
I have been using a whynter arc-14s for nearly 10 years. It is loud but it’s white noise for sleeping
Thanks! Costco currently has what appears to be the same unit branded as Danby for $579.00.
I was going to say that it looks exactly like my Danby model.
@@stevenbatke2475 because it is. Midea makes their Duo portable unit for many different companies. Midea, Danby, Dreo, Toshiba, and Whynter to name a few.
@@Smurdle450 makes sense.
In Florida they do not dehumidify but almost humidify the air cause the condensate can get blown back in the room.
Yes I also noticed that the humidity goes up after a while.
These arn't really designed to be used above 80% humidity, they typically state that in the owner manual.
This is exactly what I need! Thanks for the review!!!
What about the water condensation out the bottom of the unit
Looks like it's a great design thanks for doing a review on this!
Would you consider doing a video on how easy or difficult it is to clean and maintain down the road thanks.
I'd watch anything this guy posts because they are great content. Most of them are not even relevant to me in Australia LOL
I really appreciate the nice words, thank you
I have the midea 12,000 btu smart inverter portable ac ,love it works great currently use it in a semitruck
This is the same unit, Midea makes all of these portable inverter units, including Toshiba's version.
I'm not sure if you have stated if the condensation is "misted" into the exhaust tubing so you don't have to drain condensation pan? Does it have wifi? I feel like anything you buy needs the IOT so that you can monitor to see if there is an issue...
Honestly the biggest takeaway for me was putting a dB meter on my phone. I just never even thought to do that before.
smart watches have them built in
I wished you hooked up your kill a watt to do some energy consumption comparisons.
It may be possible to duct the warm air up into the plenum (space above the hung ceiling).
I remember the technology connection channel warning against these types of a/c units. Maybe Dreo watched that video and improved upon the design.
That was all I was thinking of too!
I've had a duel hose (Two separate hoses) portable AC for 10 years. Works great no problems. It's a energy hog, so I'm looking to upgrade.
So long as you go for the most powerful (BTU) regardless of need, I think these will satisfy.
i find it funnny. that intakle is just pulling in the hot air from the exhaust thats blowing out. my hoses are separate and further apart on the window to prevent this.
thank you, good point
struggling to find a seller in Europe / Spain. any idea what brand they might come under over here? or a decent dual hose alternative?
I would love to see some of these in the Czech republic as well 🙁
My central air went bad.
(Silver has one of these also as I recall.)
Further on Amazon, they actually try to bundle a single hose extension, which will not work with this unit. They also try to bundle a sliding door kit...same issue, this custom "hose within a hose" will not fit!
Buyer beware!
Great review on the positive aspects of this unit, Silver.
Where does the condensate water go?
In the exhaust air, no need for a drain hose
How much wattage does this use when running and what’s peak wattage pull at start up?
Thanks.
My man , always top notch reviews. 👍
I like the noise it drowns out the noise outside.
@@Glocktard It pretty horrible when people and companies are using BTU units 🤢🤮👎. Common only in US
Awesome video!!!! We need one of these for our NH home 🤗
That's a nice AC. However I have a Haier (black and silver) dual hose that's 14,500 btu. It also reads 40 decibels (38 from about the same distance you were at) has a remote with all the features like yours but no led screen. I paid $400 for mine 3 years ago
Point is, if you look around, you can always find one better (sometimes)
Cheaper doesn't mean better. Nor does a more expensive unit mean higher quality. All units have their pros and cons.
any european alternative? EVERY SINGLE good portable ac is only available in the US. I want a dual hose and like 40-55db
It's $540 with a coupon at the moment.
@@fish4fun354 Really? Where? Because on Amazon, it says "Currently Unavailable" 😢
@@BrandonElliotSmith It said $60 off and was in stock the time I posted my last comment.
Brutal
I love these dual hose, a lot of power and very cold air, but my house, a new build, does not support 12 amps or higher and kept tripping the breaker over and over, so I had to return my dual hose portable AC to home depot for a 5000 BTU that wouldn't keep tripping the breaker.
i dont think this one is available in europe, and since im from portugal, what would you recommend?
why are the good ones only available in the US? no options for europe people?
Yeah, it's a bummer 😕
Looks great but I need to vent out through the ceiling about 8ft above the unit. Can you get extended hoses for this thing?
A small correction - you say it has "a hose the pulls air out of the house and another that pulls air in". That's not right because the air doesn't come out of the house, air comes from the outside, through the unit where heat is added or removed depending on the heat/cool mode and then heat is transferred via a heat exchanger and the air goes back outside. So your inside and outside air never mix thus technically the air never come "out of the house".
Almost 4 weeks having this and I have the filter light on so I rinse the filter off and can't figure out how to reset it (filter didn't even look that dirty.) Won't cool since the filter light is on.
Looks like a nice air conditioner. As we're coming to the end of the a/c season perhaps these may go on sale. Are these models energy star rated?
No portable unit that I know of is energy star rated because their requirements are too high to be feasible currently.
I don't get why, if you're going to have a super gigantic AC outlet plug , you can't include a grounded outlet in the plug to try to reclaim the second outlet for a lamp or something lower powered, rather than having to unplug that AC unit if you need to use that outlet for something low powered..
They require a GFCI for these so the plug sadly is big like that. Seems to be same for all portables now.
Two pipes have batter balance of air preasure but if its outside it should be running more quiet
Just ordered mine. Great review
A new one available in July of 2024, sounds amazing, could you review it? It's only 300.00 and claims 16,000 BTU's and decibal sound level down to
35, (I know sounds ridicoulous)
In Asia inverter-controlled appliances have been very common for a decade or so. AC, fridge, laundry, oven, microwave, fans, even rice cookers are inverter controlled. I guess the energy price hike finally got the US market interested in conserving energy.
You guys have been way ahead of us for ages. I knew a girl from thailand decades ago that asked why our AC was in the floor and didn't the vents get filthy. She was right on both counts, and she told me about mini-splits and that they are the norm there now decades later we are catching up to that and now the same with inverters. Not sure why it takes us so long.
I needed to remove my window screen to install Danby dual. Question, what keeps flies wasps birds etc from nesting in hoses?
This looks EXACTLY like the Danby I just purchased from Costco. Is this the same manufacturer?
Yes, they're all made by Midea.
What is the exact measurement of the width at the window?
Looks like its too wide just concern for safety reasons, thank you!
I've worked with Dreo on my channel as well. They make great products, and all of them are very high quality!
These are all made by Midea
I have the Danby version of this exact one. Works great.
Roughly how many degrees can it cool a small bedroom if it's 100F outside? The last 3 summers have been brutal. 105-110F almost every day for months. The current AC unit I have can only make about a 20 degree difference.
I know it has an inverter however the specs say it only uses 115 watts. That can't be right. I would think around 1000 watts.
It uses 1,200 watts
We have an enclosed porch with lots of windows. If we set the Dreo up inside our home, can we vent into the porch?
Excellent job on this one. Any idea how much energy it uses? I couldn't find anything related to seer on the link you posted. Maybe hook it up to a killavolt meter and let us know kw per hour. Thanks!
Thank you it was a really nice AC. Its 1200 watts but keep in midn that is at maximum and will decrease as demand drops unlike non-inverter models that are constant.
This unit is infinitely variable, and runs between 190 and 1300 watts with the compressor running, if my toshiba (same unit) is anything to go by. The warmer it gets, the harder it will work.
I bought the exact same dual hose at Costco not long ago, it’s identical to the dreo except it’s a Danby , did Danby buy them out and rebrand it ?
Just curious do you need a 220 panel for one of these to run efficiently?
No not at all, this will work with any regular 120v 15 amp outlet.
Do they drain water out of the back our how do you get rid of the water I see a plug but then it also says it evaporates it please just bought one coming Saturday lobe the review….
Got one of these from Costco and had to return it the same day. The compressor fan was out of balance and creating a ton of noise.
No heat pump option? I want to use it in winter too.
@@kewlztertc5386 ,
My room is really small, plus, I don't want to blow my electric.
How many amps does the unit draw? Will it short a regulat 15 amp wall outlet? Especially during summer
Does this unit have a variable speed compressor? Will it legit do a sleep/quiet mode where it’s cooling with a slower fan and compressor speed?
Yes the compressor is variable speed. uses 250 watts at minimum and 1200 watts max.
I'm trying to understand the setup of this - - so this is actually a dual unit setup - - the two units operate in tandem?? Or is the poster just showing two different models of the DREO system?
Considering one of these for my workshop. Did I hear correctly? Never have to empty condensation from the unit????
That is correct, only exception is if you use it for only dehumidification. AC, you never touch it, mines been running for 2 months now, no draining, none of that. amzn.to/3R8r1jl
Does this have a dehumidification mode? Where does condensate go?
It dehumidifies during AC but if you just want to dehumidification it does have that function there is a drain hose on back.
What about the midea?
I am wondering, can this be used with a bug screen in place? I'm in FL and we have a ton of skeeters, wouldn't want them getting in!
Nice! Thanks again.
I modified a single-hose unit I got from Costco to be dual-hose with some duct from Home Depot, it’s ugly af and the cardboard casement window adapter I made doesn’t look too great either, but it works great. I even designed and 3D printed a quick disconnect for the second duct to make storage easier.
Upload it to 3d websites. I did the same with electrolux. Ordered a 3d print from local shops
Can you removed the hose to wash? Since it duel hose idk of we can remove it completely to wash it
Some questions I thought of if an owner of one would kind enough to answer
(Dead silent?)
Thank you
100% perfect for a bedroom. My kids each have one in their rooms, These are as close to near silent as it gets. The ramp up and down very slowly but can run at super low speeds if the room is gettin cooler. I would buy this unit without hesitation and return it if you don't 100% love it. I bought 3 of these and LOVE them! amzn.to/3Kx1iPd
can you use the app with this unit?
Amazon link, 2 days after posting this video, shows it's $659. Still sounds like a decent price. But kinda sucks the price changing so quickly from the time of the video to now.
Nice, but how does it deal with humidity?
I'm confused, I only see one hose there.
Also I live in an apartment with a sliding door. How do I solve that?
What about rain? What happens if rain comes into the hose?
How does the BTU convert to square footage? 14,000 would equal to how much square footage for example?
I am not sure what they say in their specs. But for me, I was cooling about 500 sq feet with very high ceilings and a lot of sunny window very well
That is a really nice unit, particularly for the price. Have you seen any like this with a heat pump too? That would really be the cats meow!
Would you happen to know if I can use this in my RV standard outlet? I’m asking because I’ve been told I can’t use a window unit and I don’t know if that has something to do with the amount of voltage? Wattage? What’s the word? 😂 Thanks so much if you can help. Can’t find the answer to this anywhere.
Does your RV not have AC? Most of them do nowadays unless it's some classic model. If you can't use a window unit, you can't use this either. It draws more current. 12 amps I believe.
@@TheMidgardViking I have a roof unit and don’t like it. Too loud. Well, I’ll find out on Tuesday if this will work. I ordered it already. I blow a fuse from the hair dryer though so I hope the outlet can handle it.
