This explains a ton why I'm suddenly seeing everyone slowing down during dog fights. Everyone has been trying to do this to me in multiplayer mode. I tore everyone up whenever they try this on me. Good info though. I learned something new. See you all in the skies in ps4 ;)

That's the Kulbit. The Cobra does not complete the loop, rather, it puts the aircraft in an extreme AOA, then we let it return to its original AOA either by drag or pitch down thrust vectoring. By the way, the maneuver in this video seems to be too extreme.
i love how they used to mention this post stall maneuver in like 2016 17, but the more closer the game get to release the lesser they mention this system. like, last time they mention this is on multiplayer trailer and its so ambiguous no one probably realize it unless you've follow this game's development. and they didnt mantion any post stall maneuver in the game even tho its probably so helpful when fighting all the bosses in the game. i feel that kono trying to release his stress from developing this game so he want to see nuggets suffer.
It's implied the players can do it considering the fact that Mihaly does it, and I've never seen a single AC game where the characters do a maneuver that the player can't. But I might not remember.
They are but only for cool chads and make believing that your doing a realistic maneuver . Which earlier Ace Combats Already Had you doing Actual realistic maneuvering but not fly backwards

Lol, what "post stall maneuver" even means? Stall is pretty much loss of lift, how can you maneuver without lift on your wings? Don't get me wrong, I love Ace Combat - pretty much because of the intense and engaging stories - but the gameplay is simply bizarre xD. Wish I could forget all the flight sim hours I spent when playing AC.
@@spacekraken666 post stalls are real btw. And as far as loss of lift is concerned, just because you have no lift doesnt mean that your flight controls stop working (you still have air flow) and in the case of being vertical, engine thrust balances out gravity.

@@SkylineGTRFreak Not really, War Thunder is mostly for teenagers and "post teenagers" who don't want to buy and learn DCS World modules or at least IL-2 stuff. In DCS you can have actual "post stall maneuvers" if you get the Su-27 or gyro maneuvers with the Yak-52 or the Christen Eagle. But at least WT has some semblance of physics on the Simulation difficulty. This AC7 thing here doesn't appear to have any at all. They are "scripted tricks", not "post stall maneuvers". I like WT, I just don't understand why you feel the need to come to a video of a another game and badmouth it? AC7 doesn't want to b realistic, as apparent by the presence of flying fortresses, space elevators and planes with 140 missile payload. That being said, if this was pre-recorded animations, then there wouldn't even need to be a tutorial. You still have full control of your aircraft and can do whatever you want. @@SkylineGTRFreak It's just that I found it rather amusing to see "AC7" (or any other number for that matter) and "post stall maneuvers" in the same line... Something like, "how to do trail-braking in Mario Kart properly". One just doesn't quite correlate with the other. And if you really want to try something that more or less resembles how an actual aircraft would fly, well, I already mentioned where to look (and it's not WT, of course). It's just that I see it as a waste having people seemingly having interest in aviation and performing difficult maneuvers wasting their time on something like AC...

Totally forgot this was in the game, this'll be great for some CAS in single player! Thanks so much for the tutorial.

Fun fact: The manouver is called "Pugachev's Cobra"
Indeed! But you can also do maneuvers like the Kulbit.
Actually that's the kulbit
This is NOT a Pugachev's Cobra, but rather called the "Kulbit." Please check your facts.

Awesome, thank you for this! A note, your game volume overwhelms your voice at times.
I noticed that, I'm not quite sure what happened there. I'll try to fix that, thanks :)

DavidMN in ac04 the yellow squadron can do cobra.
I once successfully post stalled an SU 30 something, after killing a wyvern with my guns alone, and spawn EML'd him
My confusion is the PSM seems pretty useless. high g turns are enough. Happy to be enlightened.

Can you like hold the cobra manuver ?
I've tried it for a while, and you can extend the time by applying a tiny bit of throttle. Not for long though.
U can it requires training and skill
And timing
I suggests use the su 30sm
I always loved the graphics and wide variety of planes, but something about a single aircraft carrying over 126 missiles is ridiculous.
Thats fucking sick! literally was looking at the real thing (pugachev cobra) I dont even play these game but might pick it up for this.
That kulbit tho
Actually you don't have to slow down all the way, below 500 is slow enough to pull the trick.
I go crap crap crap pull up pull up until it works
Hey skyline if this is capable of pulling of on the thrustmaster could you show a tutorial on how it’s done?
The best tip dude
This helped so much
What the dev intended to implement in AC2 is now possible but can you do this with American planes other than F-22?
F-35 and F-18 can do it, not sure about the YF-23
I wonder if it was the developers intentions to not put a Tutorial in the game but to have people make videos on how-to 🤔
unrelated to the manuevers but are you gonna do any mods for gta with the plane models from ac7?
That's planned, yea. X-02S for example
How did you get that camera
