The police need to use what limited powers they have. Since April they have the power to stop and search protesters and to do that obviously involves moving them off the road, maybe taking them away somewhere quiet in a van? As soon as they hold hands they are also committing an offence of "locking on" to another person.

Doctors should be held accountable/sued for any person trying to get to a hospital in an ambulance or who gets ill from this. How would they feel if people blocked their way from getting to their office to treat their patients?

Her argument is she needed it to get around but totally support no oil. If she cycled, have a E car/bike, underground or walked I would understand. The fact is we should transition of oil but at pace where replacements are viable, economic, and popular. People sitting in the roads but wearing oil products are just hypocritical pains.

Do we actually have a police force? Where were they? Do they ever do their job? If they don't feel it's their job why don't they just give the public a free hand to sort it themselves without fear of prosecution.
Well I can't speak for the whole country but earlier this week pretty much all of norfolks police force was harassing motorists on the outskirts of norwich.
They busy arresting people for teaching their dogs to do a seig heil online, or otherwise expressing free speech at home peacefully.

Why else would there be so few police in a major London road ? Because all they see is the protestors being pushed all they can do is intervene and/or arrest those that become violent, I don't agree with it, but the law works the same way for all people involved, and they do have a right to protest.

The smart move would be if they announced which road/roads they intend to protest on, it would give emergency services and other commuters the opportunity to choose a different route and still cause the disruption they want… but that’s common sense, and it’s becoming obvious that sense is not just rare, it’s become endangered.

What do policitians know about science ? very little from my experience- the science is not conclusive - new technologies will solve most of our problems if given a chance- the present solutions are flawed at best- interesting to hear the doctor talk about millions dying - maybe poverty and war have more to do with that statement than oil ? - i wonder if she supports the vaccination of children with the current experimental covid vaccines or is she too worried about losing her well paid GP status to voice her opinion?
