The thing that's so staggering about Matty is how, despite how much I despise the concept of idolatry or at least the elevation of another human's insights over most of the rest, I can't help but constantly be in awe of how grounded he is. Nothing he says is especially new or groundbreaking, it's just that when he says it, he makes it all sound so simple.
There is no purpose without some degree of happiness though. Anyone who suffers with major depression will tell you it's near impossible to muster up any sense of purpose when you're suicidally depressed.

I like the video that goes along with the words it's so nice to see him smile! But if I'm giving my honest opinion about his words he sounds a bit self righteous really. So the question could have had a really simple.answer such as "sunshine, babies, puppies, that I survived a really horrendous addiction and I get to live!!" But no, he chooses to be oppositional and angry. I don't get it? His lyrics and music seem upbeat Is that just him then to be that way? If so then to each his own. I.prefer more positive and world betterment messages such as those of Yung Blud! He is so positive and happy and stands for inclusion and speaks out directly on subjects that mater such as Sexual assault. I like.the 1975 music but not Matty's self absorbed reflections all about him self.
