one of the many things i truly love about this song is how matty healy incorporated the word "surrender" instead of the excessively used and cliche "falling in love". it felt so authentic in a manner that one would risk to knock down their fortresses for that person and it's simply enchanting.

I seriously cannot explain how much the 1975 means to me. They never fail to make me want to drive through a tunnel with the windows down. They make me want to stop caring and just listen and imagine the future, the past , and the present at the same time. It’s more than just liking their songs. I like how the 1975 has been experimenting and is diverse and doesn't necessarily do the same stuff for each album. this album is its own but imo this track and 'the 1975' (even when its different from what were used to from the opening track) do both feel like home. it just feels right.

This song is such a bittersweet feeling. You can listen to all the melodies balance each other out so soothingly. The sweetness is so comforting.
