Great review. You are so right about this Cigar it has this crazy funk that I don’t really love but I don’t hate and I kinda enjoyed it. It’s weird anyway great review keep it up.

Never had one, but I always felt from the descriptions that it was more different than outstanding. Nothing wrong with this cigar being different though. If they come out with the Anejo again, I’ll be sure to give it a try. Thanks for the review, Mike!
I'd say it's worth a shot Eric. Even if the next release isn't an "Extra Anejo". Grab at least one and see what the hype is about.

Thanks JB. They're tasty. Supposedly, all an Anejo is, is a Basin with 2 years of aging on it. So the 2014 I have chillin is a 5x Anejo. Right?
I thought this one would have been better.. The shootout just got more interesting! Cant wait!
It's a good cigar and I enjoy it. It's just pretty basic and has a very simple, linear profile. I'll always grab a few every year and leave the rest for the fanatics.

Nice review Mike per usual! Question is there a way to to ask questions about cigars? You and others are so knowledgeable and I have been smoking everything and anything that I would like to narrow and find smokes that fit my palate so I can enjoy more of this smoking experience. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

Do you notice a difference from this one and other years of the extra anejo?
These just don’t work well for me.
I think they’re ok but not great.
There's only been one year of the Extra Anejo. But yes, year to year, the Amazon Basin is pretty inconsistent. More inconsistent than any other cigars I've smoked different vintages of.
@@CigarCarpenter oh OK, because the Anejo that I had were super dark and oily.
Then the ones that Peter had are more brown.
But maybe that’s just because he takes the cellophane off?
Very strange, you don't have chocolate taste 😮For me this is Banger,i smoke and have 2014 realise and was so chocolatey,like as we discuss shortly for me this and Leaf by Oscar Sumatra is the best Sumatra i have to smoke for now 🎉😊
